February is kicking my butt!! I'm not giving up though! I travelled a lot this month and ate out WAY more than usual so I have an uphill battle ahead of me. With a little over a week left in the month, I'm hoping for some kind of loss and not a gain!!

Laura, I never traveled for work but I can just imagine that it plays havoc with your diet. The last couple years I worked DH was already retired and we started eating out a lot instead of waiting for me to cook dinner when I got home. That was tough on my and that was when I really started gaining. Now that I'm retired I'm cooking more at home. I will admit that eating out was nice for a while. It was so nice to sit down to a meal I didn't have to prepare and clean up after. LOL

Kim Glad that you got all the TOM related bloat out of the way before month end!! Hopefully this last leg of Feb. will be kind to you!

carol That is awesome that your doctor noticed your progress!! Its nice that you have a clear goal to shoot for before your next appt. Great job staying in Onederland as well!

laura Hopefully the sodium from the meals out will flush away during this last week. Drink as much water as you can!

Lost 10 pounds over the last 5 weeks. Favorite jeans are falling off. I hope avery body is doing well. I keep losing track of the new location.

Laura, I didn't make any headway in February either. In fact, the only success I've had this year is to lose a few pounds to get out of Twoterville. I really need to do what I know I need to do or 2018 is going to be the same dismal failure as 2017 was. Why am I letting myself fail?

I'd forgotten to post an end-of-the-month recap on Wednesday! So, here it is. February was a harder month for me as well and has been my slowest "active" month of loss so far...must have been something in the air! But, at least it is still progress in the right direction. Here's hoping we all have a stronger month in March!

Jumping in late! I'm not positive I can make my goal weight by the end of the year but I am positive (if I work at it) I can be a lot closer than I am now.....75 pounds away!

Hoping to keep this thread going. Kay, I never gave a thought to what my "no longer obese" number would be. I just checked. It's 169. That seems so far off, I don't know if I will ever make it but every lb slowly lost is a pound in the right direction.

Hello ladies,

I'm new here. I have an 8-month baby girl and am looking for a support group through my journey to a healthier 2018. I have lost about 15 lbs so far! I want to lose at least 10 more. I cannot believe how far most of you all have come since the start of 2018! Keep it up!!

Not new here..... but not been around much. I hung out at another low carb forum but it is shutting down and I need a new home....... sure hope I can make this it. I am hoping to be a part of this challenge since the short term ones I get into just dont do it for me. A little info:

I am 65 (as of yesterday)... WOW.... seeing that in print is upsetting. I have 70 lb I need to drop...get rid of for good... It is doable by the end of this year if I get serious..... I figure... either way..... all or not...I will be better off without whatever amount it is... but the GOAL is 70 lb. down.
Health issues are forcing me to get busy living or die!!! High blood pressure... border pre diabetic....fatty liver... and kidney that is not functioning at its optimum for my age and knees/legs that hurt from to much weight and inactivity. My job is a desk job and "sucks" because of that. I need to lose weight... get more active...and drink more water ( I am so bad at that since I never seem thirsty).

I realize I am getting started later in the game..... but.... WE CAN DO THIS I am the dark haired one in the Aveitar. That was about 2 maybe 3 years ago. Big... but not quite this big.. maybe around 15 or 20 lb. less than now.
