Wow! You guys really left me in the dust!! So many great losses for the month. I have had a very bad week. I was up to 204 for a couple days, but am back to 202 today. I'm so disappointed in myself that I left Onederland again. I should have continued downward, but this is a new month, so I get a chance to try again.

Ophelia, I love the new Avatar picture. Very pretty. I can really see the loss.

Happy February! I got off-track a little bit at the end of January, so am refocusing myself and hope to get into the 180's by the end of the month.

I'm currently in a period of whoosh, which is way more fun than my long stalls. It's taken me riiiiight to the edge of overweight at 150.6 this morning. I'm hoping my body just takes the plunge and gets me down into the 140s and into the clinically normal weight range.

Good job with the first month of the year, guys! Lots of losses and/or refocusing and redoubling of effort.

Carol: Think of it this way - you're only a couple pounds away from Onederland. You're right on the edge - you'll definitely get there if you keep it up. I know it's disheartening to have been there and now back, but you're RIGHT THERE. Even if it's not this week or the next, you'll get there.

ophelia: Wow! 11 lbs! I'm jealous! I'd love a double digit loss, but I'm pretty sure I'm past that now (it was fun while it lasted). You're doing great!

gail: I got a bit off track a couple times in January, too. I've got to buckle down more this month! The 180s is a great goal for February!

Well, I am back in Onederland by just a smidge...but I'm taking it! I only got on the scale once, because I know that getting on a second time usually shows different results. This time I am planning on staying tightly on plan and continuing downward. I set my goal for February a little higher than my 5lb per month in an effort to recoup what I didn't get in January and keep me on schedule.

I'm thinking I may try weighing in once a month. I'm feeling a bit emotionally frayed by weighing in more often, and I've wanted to try monthly weighing for a while. I'll just have to watch to make sure I don't slip more often because I feel I have lots of time before a weigh-in. I have a friend who weighs monthly and it works very well for her. I'm hoping it works the same for me! I'd rather be able to focus on losing weight without the daily fluctuations (especially with how inconsistent my weight loss is even on plan). It'll be an interesting trial, in any case.

Chanticleer, I understand what you mean about weighing more often. It gets very discouraging for me, also, because I lose so slowly and bounce back up so much. I hope you continue to post here, though, even weighing in once a month.

I hope this thread does not die out. I posting in it the whole year last year and although I didn't lose much, I think it kept me maintaining. So far this year I'm losing, albeit slowly.

Good to see you still posting here, Kim. I'm sticking around, too, and maybe some others will come back. I'm hanging in Onederland still by a thread, and hoping to get a little lower this week. I am a super slow loser but I won't give up.

I was at the doctor's yesterday and he noticed on my chart that my weight is down and was very encouraging to me with it. Has me wanting to show a bigger different by my next appointment in 6 months.
