The bump up isn't a surprise at all thanks to our visit to Sonic(thanks kids!), lol. Back on track today though I waited too long to eat after breakfast since the kids had a field trip that lasted longer than I expected. They did go to the Varsity but I refrained and came home to eat.

yangtzer - congrats on your drop. I live on the west coast of Canada which is very beautiful. I lived on the east coast for many years but found it too cold in the winter and too humid in the summer. The west coast is much milder. We usually get a bit of snow around Christmas but generally we get a lot of rain in the winter. The eastern part of Canada, like Montreal and Toronto, gets a lot of snow.
Early weigh-in this morning... bounced up slightly. (It occurs to me now that I shouldn't count "goal" until I've been under GW for at least 3 days...!) We had a couple of inches of snow overnight... very cold this morning, but forecast is for temps to be in the 50's over the weekend, which will be *wonderful*.
Since we still have two weeks left in the month, and I'm close to my original goal, I'm going to follow GardnerJoy's example and increase my goal for the month from 6 to 8 pounds. New GW = 192.4
Thanks for the encouragement everyone. Back down some today but still up from my lowest so far this year. I was hoping I'd skip right back over that pesky 261 but it wasn't to be. Maybe tomorrow! I still have some sore muscles so hopefully I'll drop some more water today.
Gail ~ Congrats on making your goal!
Joe ~ My WOE actually encourages high salt intake (Himalayan, not table) so I'm not worried about my salt. My salt/water ration might be part of the problem. I may need to reevaluate how much water I'm getting.
Kfunk ~ I've often heard that some women can gain weight during ovulation. I've never been regular enough to really monitor it, but my WOE can supposedly really help with balancing out hormones. I do happen to be ovulating right now. I think I'm going to start tracking that along with TOM and see if there is a trend. If so, that will definitely ease my mind in the future if I know why I'm seeing a bump up on the scale.
Hope everyone has a fabulous day!

yangtzer Swimming sounds lovely, good job!! Thank you! I am about 14 months in.
lunkah I hear you on the busy schedules throughout the holiday months, it makes it so hard! I am glad that you were able to get right back on track and congrats on getting rid of that mysterious 4 lb. gain!! I have been really good, but am trying to shake the struggles on the weekend. I have 1 good one under my belt, hoping to make it 2 in a row
Ophelia Thank you! I hope that the sodium whooshes away soon for you! Great job on the water and workouts!!
momtopands You are doing a great job and that Sonic will be gone in no time!
flower you are moving down nicely, great work!!
gail 50's sound amazing!! You are doing so amazing, good luck with your second goal!!
toomanydimples Nice drop, you will be back to your low before you know it!! I bought an ovulation kit online to start tracking and I think I will start taking my temperature as well, my cycles are so messed up and it could definitely be hormone related. This is bad timing since we want to have a baby. The past year my cycles have been on the shorter side, but last month was 40 days and I am on day 51 right now, very frustrating.
New around here and not so sure how posting works, but being later in the month I'd be happy to lose just 3 lbs. In fact I'd be happy to simply not gain any weight this month! I've gained pretty quickly, about 20lbs in 6 months, and I'm looking to lose at least 25-30lbs total this year.
kfunk6113 Sonic is leaving, thank goodness, and i'm staying on track
yangtzer So far the snack i've been loving is my mom's chicken salad with a few crackers. It is sooooo good!
flower1 Thanks! I am planning to take my daughter on a trip to visit some friends in Canada next summer! One lives in London, Ontario and the other in Calgary. I have to decide which to visit. Any votes?
gail28Congrats on meeting your goal and setting a new one!
opheliaphoenix Great job on the loss after your indulgence. It is a great feeling!
Thankfully that Sonic is coming off, lol. I went over a little last night but I'm back on today! What are these podcasts people are talking about? I'd love to see what's out there to listen to!

Just a quick check-in, since I ran out of time! Will do personals tomorrow.
Weigh-in is randomly up almost 3 full pounds today for no reason at 206.6... I was on-plan with the food, my water goal, and the exercise. The only thing I can think of is staying up super late last night - about 4 am - and getting super restless sleep for the time that I was actually able to be asleep. Other than that, this seems a little crazy for a normal fluctuation...lol. I'm going to be taking a rest day today on the exercise and trying to go to bed early, and we'll see what the scale says tomorrow. I almost didn't want to post today's reading because it seems so off, but I'm staying accountable and watching those patterns to learn what does what to my body.

TooManyDimples: It's never a straight line down. You're doing great this month - 8+ pound loss!
Ophelia: Yeah, that's a weird bump-up... I bet you're right that it's related to sleep in some way. Hopefully, it will disappear as quickly as it came.
Momtopands: You're doing great... nice consistent loss this month!
GardnerJoy: Looks like you've held onto that loss from when you were sick - silver lining!
booksnbikes Welcome!! Our current weight and goal weights are very similar, we are weight loss twins!! As far as posting, you can chose to post as much or as little as you would like. Several post every day but some check in here and there or weekly, etc.
momtopands Glad to hear that it is leaving! You are coming back down nicely
Vickie You are doing awesome!!
ophelia That is frustrating, but hopefully it leaves as fast as it comes on!! I agree that it was sleep related!
toomanydimples yay on getting back to your low!! The field trip comment made me giggle, I take lots of those haha!
