I hope everyone is having a happy Friday!

Weigh-in was 211.0 today, so inching ever closer back down to last week's low. Hope to get back there or surpass it tomorrow...fingers crossed! :crossed: Another day at the gym down this morning, and I actually headed out for an additional walk last night after the morning's workout yesterday and ended up getting in over 20k steps for the day before bed last night...first time in awhile that I have hit that! I won't have time to do that again today, but I'm going to see if I can hit a similar number over the weekend. :running:

kfunk: I'm holding out hope that I might be able to actually hit it for the month by tomorrow's weigh-in...we will see! I can't believe that NYE is tomorrow already...I feel like this month has gone by so fast with all the holiday prepping everyone has been doing. I think December is the hardest month of the year to stay focused because of all the goodies and subsequent gains and time feeling like it slips by so quickly all at once. Needless to say, I am looking forward to January...how about you?

--------------------------------------

Weigh-in was finally back down to my low from exactly a week ago at 210.8 today, so I'm hoping to start moving down again from here with a fresh start for the new year. Today, my husband wanted to take a break from the gym because he's really been pushing himself and his back was sore and stiff this morning...we'll hit it again tomorrow, and I will probably head out for a 5 mile this afternoon by myself to make up for not going. I'm fine, so no reason not to stay active myself! :running:

I hope everyone has a HAPPY NEW YEAR!!! :hat::celebrate:

My final weigh-in for the year was 210.4 today, so I juuuust barely hit goal for the month. (Well, technically, considering the scale switch.) But, that also means that I've lost 86.6 lbs since coming back right before the 1st of the year - even with my fall off the wagon over the summer - so, I am thrilled with that and ready to move into 2018 with a steeled resolve and lessons learned from both my failures and my successes in 2017.

I will see you guys over in the new thread tomorrow, and I hope that 2018 will truly be the "Year of Goal Smashing" for us all!!! :cheer3:

I know we already switched over to the new thread, but I'm going to reply here since this is where you asked! Haha. I don't have any full-body comparisons, because I was always hiding from the camera or behind people in photos at my highest weight, so I am still sleuthing through other peoples' photos online for any decent before shots. (I am seriously kicking myself for not taking proper before shots when I got started again a year ago.:headache:) However, I have this face shot comparison that I did recently because I was wearing the same tank top and general colors...even in the same car with my hair up in the same bun, lol.

Ophelia, I'm so glad I checked back to this Dec thread and got to see your before/after pics. There is definitely a difference! You are so cute, in BOTH pics. No more hiding behind others. I have some before pics, but right now I am only down 14 lbs from my top weight, so I'm still in the before stage. Actually, my favorite pics are from before I gained!! LOL I look at them and wonder why I let this happen.

I was looking at the graph you posted that shows your weight through the year. You actually lost way more than the 90 net pounds, because you had that uptick somewhere along the line, and you lost all of that, too. Such an inspiration to us all!

opheliaphoenix 01-02-2018 03:51 PM

Wannabehealthy: Thank you SO much!!! You will be so happy to have those before pics when you hit your goal! I am still trying to dig up some before shots from other people's collections...maybe I will come across one I didn't hide from quickly enough, lol. And, I never really thought of my weight loss this year in terms of gross loss vs net loss, I was just so focused on the net loss that I could show on the scale. If I calculate all the losses, even after gains, I lost almost 120 lbs over the course of the ups and downs throughout the year...which was interesting to see! Thank you for that perspective. :mag:
