gail28: Good luck with the luncheon today! :)
kelijpa: Nice loss! -------------------------------------- Finally back down to my low on the 6th with a weigh-in of 217.2 today. I hope I am completely done with that bump/stall now! I have less than a week left of my DietBet that ends on the 18th, and I still have about 1.8 lbs more to lose to be one of the winners. As long as I start moving along normally now, that should be no problem. This week's stall has me nervous! :crossed: Week Two 08: 218.2 09: 218.0 10: 218.4 11: 217.6 12: 217.2 13: 14: ---------------------------- End of Week One: 218.0 Total Loss for Week Two: |

ophelia I hope that you are able to get paid, if anyone can do it, it is you!! How much do you stand to make? Congrats on getting back to your low, I hope it keeps coming off for you!! I am back to my pre Thanksgiving low, but not sure if it will stick, fingers crossed though!
kelijpa You are doing great, I just noticed how close to your final goal you are, that must feel amazing!! I can not wait until I am in within 20! SW: 176.2 GW: 168 12/7: 176.4 Total week 1: +.2 12/8: 176.6 12/9: 175.4 12/10: 175.2 12/11: 176.4 12/12: 176.2 12/13: 174.4 |

kfunk: Even if I win, I will probably only get a few bucks back on top of what I put in...we will see, lol. I think the most people get for the shorter DietBets is like $10-15. It's not really something to make much money, more like a "hold mine hostage" incentive kind of thing! Haha. And, yay for getting back to your pre-holiday low!! :cheer3: -------------------------------------- And now, finally back in the green with my first "real" loss for the week...lol. Weigh-in was 216.6 today. That means I have 1.2 more lbs to lose before the DietBet ends this weekend, and 6 lbs to lose to hit my goal for the month. I feel like - as long as I keep getting little losses here and there as usual and avoid another whole week of stalls - I should be able to get the DietBet done and won...I have a lot of catching up to do to hit my goal for December, though. I might not make that one in time, but I hope to get as close as I can. :running: Week Two 08: 218.2 09: 218.0 10: 218.4 11: 217.6 12: 217.2 13: 216.6 14: ---------------------------- End of Week One: 218.0 Total Loss for Week Two: |

kfunk: It was one of the 4 week ones! They have the 4 week "Kickstarter" games (4% of your weight in 4 Weeks) and then 6 month "Transformer" games (10% in 6 months). I feel like I have read that they also have something for people in maintenance mode, but I'm not sure on that one. I will report back on Saturday about whether or not I was able to make it down to my goal in time! gardenerjoy: I hope you stay under the 97 mark from here on out! -------------------------------------- Even though I ended up having to weigh-in a little over and hour later in the day today, my weigh-in stayed the same at 216.6...not the way I wanted to end the week, and it makes me nervous that there might even be a bump up tomorrow. I need a whoosh soon to even have any hope of catching up, so keeping my fingers crossed for that. That being said, at least I am ending the week with even a small loss instead of a gain! This was a rough week, scale-wise. I am hoping that Week Three will be a better one. :crossed: Week Two 08: 218.2 09: 218.0 10: 218.4 11: 217.6 12: 217.2 13: 216.6 14: 216.6 ---------------------------- End of Week One: 218.0 Total Loss for Week Two: 1.4 lbs. |
Hi, Kfunk. Thanks for your encouragement. Your weight loss over the past year is really impressive. Hope I can follow your example over the coming year!

Sorry for the long post today, but I need some advice...:chin:
Okay, so I have mentioned that my scale has been acting weird again and getting ready to kick the bucket. Well, today, it showed the same weight from the past few days at 216.6, so I went to check the batteries, just to see if there was an issue and it was just giving me memory readings. The battery compartment had rusty corrosion all in it and at the connectors, so I tried brushing some of that off and reseating the batteries...then, when I flipped it back over, it showed me up over a pound to 217.8, and then had a few different readings back-to-back after that; 217.2, 216.8...nothing consistent. So, I was fed up! I went out and bought a new scale, despite originally wanting to wait until after the 1st of the year to do so. Well, I was weighing in about 3 hours late at that point, so I knew the reading would probably be too low to be accurate for today, but I wanted to see what it said anyway, and the new scale showed me at 214.6. That seemed like a huge difference, but I checked it multiple times and it gave the same reading several times in a row. So, I hopped on the old scale, just to see what it would have said after weighing in 3 hours late, and it was now showing 216.2 lbs. Over a pound and a half difference between the scales, one right after the other. So, I wasn't sure what to log for today. I just with with a "No Weigh-In" since it was a little late in the day anyway. So, I'll pick back up on logging tomorrow. Should I just make my note of a new scale to explain the difference in reading and then just continue on from that point with the new scale's readings? If it shows the same difference tomorrow, I don't want to feel like I am cheating with a free 1.5 lb loss, but I am kind of hoping it's just a more accurate scale...lol. What do you guys think? Week Three 15: NWI -- New scale transition! 16: 17: 18: 19: 20: 21: ---------------------------- End of Week Two: 216.6 Total Loss for Week Three: |
