I am planning on watching carbs....and calories. When I have a bad day and just want carbs --- I'll at least try to watch calories. I need to be realistic.
kfunk: Hopefully, your dinner out didn't effect you too much today! And, me too...I think I will have a little dance party to myself when it happens.
workinglikeadog: Well, it sounds like a great plan!! I need to make sure I figure out something reliable to fall back on exercise-wise as well for the upcoming bad weather days where I just know I won't want to head out for a walk/jog. Getting prepared for those kind of days is a must!

Okay, I'm getting sick of this number now. Better down than up, but still....grr. It's frustrating, lol. However, I didn't go for a walk last night and, while I did a little better on the water, I still didn't do that great, so I'd say that's on me. Definitely going to MAKE myself get out and get moving today, so I can see if I can break this mini-plateau tomorrow.

workinglikeadog it sounds like you have come up with a great plan!!!
i.just.want.to.eat- Yes, I think that will work!! Choosing a plan that you can stick with for the rest of your life will help you succeed!! I started changing a thing here, a thing there, so on. It wasn't overwhelming all at once and that made it way easier to stick to. I would suggest that you drink a ton of water, that makes a bigger difference than I could have imagined and its super easy! I have the food portion down pretty well, but I struggle with getting my workouts in. I have found that changing my diet was the biggest part to losing so far, but I would still like to find a routine that I can stick with for the health benefits exercise provides. You've got this!!
ophelia getting stuck is the most frustrating thing ever!! I hope that you break through it very soon!! I am up about a half pound from the weekend meals, but I am planning on chugging water today to see if I can get rid of some of it. I wouldn't be surprised if I saw a gain tomorrow as a delayed response.
joy Congrats on your new low, that is FANTASTIC!!!
kelijpa That is awesome that you made it to the 150's for your bday!!! Happy belated bday, I hope that you enjoyed it!
kymb92 I hope you can bust through the 210's soon! I have a couple weeks per month where I get stuck and bob around, I have a very hard time staying patient!
workinglikeadog and i.just.want.to.eat Good luck, sending positive vibes - we are here for ya!
ophelia Your body is just taking a little break, you'll see the work paying off! You got this!
joy Congrats!!!
kelijpa Happy belated b-day, ya for 150s!!
kymb92 The body ebbs and flows - don't get frustrated - keep on keeping on!
I'm struggggggling...not gaining but, not working at losing. I am so disappointed in myself. I am so close to my next goal and I can't get my booty into gear.
I've been drinking water like crazy, so I don't think it's just dehydration. I added hill sprints last week to my outdoor walks, and that seems to have helped. I went a little crazy on carbs over the weekend which resulted in a little bump up, but I'm still pleased with the direction the scale is taking.
Blondie: WTG on being down 1 lb!
Chub: Nice whoosh! Did you do anything special?
Ophelia: Thanks for the feedback, and you're doing great! You have a very methodical approach to your weight loss which I think is great!
KFunk: The scale is in freefall for you! Amazing! What are you doing?
Diana: Good job defining your weaknesses, I think that's a very important step because now you know exactly what to avoid!

kymb92: I just spent all week dealing with the same thing...hope you break through the 210 mark soon!
kfunk: As always, I will be trying to get in a lot of water today, as well! Here's to flushing out some water retention. (We'll pretend that's water...lol.)
Blondie: When people get close to goals, the scale always seems to stall a bit, doesn't it? Keep pushing, and you'll be there before you know it!
EagleRiverDee: Hill sprints sound intense...nice work!

Weigh-in was 229.0 today, so I'm happy that my little mini-plateau seems to have finally broken, and I hope it keeps moving down from here on out. I want to push through as much of the 220s as I can before losing any momentum again...lol. I didn't head out for a walk until it was already dark out last night, but I was feeling so bad about not being consistent with it (and the resulting stall) that I found a path that keeps me in the neighborhood and adjacent neighborhoods with street lights, so my husband was more okay with me heading out after dark, because I was able to stay decently close to the house and still get in a 3.5 mile round with all the ins and outs. He said he might go with me today (for the first time since we've moved!), so I hope he does tonight...it's always nice having the company and a little alone time with him, even if it's just walking and talking.

Eagleriverdee: I didn't do anything that was out of the ordinary to cause the whoosh. It was evident that it was a fluke because I jumped right back up. I guess I was just dehydrated >__<.
Quick update before I hit the hay: I moved to a new living space yesterday and will be here for the next month. I'll be back at my house but only on the weekends so I'll only be able to weigh in then. It's a bummer because a downward trend on the scale is very motivating to me. But that's fine. I'll work hard and will hope for a big decrease on the weekend
blondie I know that feeling all too well. It is a big deal to maintain though, so don't be too hard on yourself. One thing that helped me get back on track was taking out my food scale and measuring and tracking everything, and after a few days I felt refreshed again.
dee I am so glad that the scale moved for you!! Great job on the hill sprints, I wont lie, they sound awful!! I was down to 177 and then gained back up to 184 so that is why its dropping so fast, but I am sure once I get closer to 177 it will slow down considerably!
ophelia how did you do with your water yesterday? I didn't do great, but miraculously I went down a little bit. I am really bloated and my goal for today is to drink 160 oz Nice drop!!! That is awesome that you found a well lit path that you can take at night, I hope that your husband joins you!
chub only weighing in on the weekends might be kind of exciting, like a challenge to see how well you can do during the week before the final reveal!!

They're really not that bad. It's like 10-20 seconds at a time, and then we go right back to walking so the discomfort is very short lived. And I definitely feel it in my quads by the end of the walk- there is much more fatigue and even a little shake, which tells me that I'm doing something that's going to create some change!
