Good morning! I did pretty well on the last challenge. I'm going for another round with 21 days eating less than 1,300 cals per day, except for 3 treat days at less than 1,550 cals (planned for Fridays or the last work day in each week).

Day 1 Tues 2/21 - 1,265 cals
Day 2 Wed 2/22 - 1,270 cals
Day 3 Thu 2/23 - pause day
Day 4 Fri 2/24 - 1,290 cals
Day 5 Sat 2/25 - 1,240 cals
Day 6 Sun 2/26 - 1,269 cals
Day 7 Mon 2/27 - 1,550 cals
Day 8 Tue 2/28 - 1,249 cals
Day 9 Wed 3/1 - 1,275 cals

Davis Good job on focusing on your health during this stressful time.

takingcontrol It's great you're still checking in even though you aren't participating yet. Enjoy your break!

paperclip Running through the woods sounds like a wonderful way to exercise!

Flower Is mini jogging jumping on a small trampoline?

Chunkalunkah Sounds like Mondays might be a good rest day for you. It'll give your body time to unwind from a heavy schedule.

I took my treat day yesterday with wine. I usually wait till Friday, but I needed to relax. Seattle had an unexpected snow storm. I work in an office building near the mountains and when I saw the snow coming down hard, I left work immediately. By then some cars were stuck, blocking the route home. My daughter was stuck in a school bus on a steep hill too. We didn't get home till late and were both shook up. Wine and relaxation helped calm me down. I was happy I stayed within my maintenance calories because of this challenge. I'll skip Friday's rest day in exchange.

paper clip - What you're doing now is my longterm goal! I used to take runs through the forest trails in my local park. I loved it. Such a tranquil environment with its own unique energy. I hear ya on the better sleep and opportunity for music.

flower - Thanks! I was surprised I was able to fit it in. I usually have a lot more hw on that day. I don't expect it to happen again.

Sperrigo - I can definitely understand making last night your maintenance day. Wine is even more magnificent after a day like that.

Hi all
Sperrigo A mini trampoline is also called a jogging trampoline or a rebounder. i do not know how to do rebounding on it. I just jog in place. They are quite small and low to the floor. That's quite a story about the snowstorm. I would have found it very harrowing. Glad you both did get home okay. Glad you had that wine. And congrats on staying on plan with food.

Chunkahlunkah hope you did not have a lot of hw last night.

takingcontrol Hope you're enjoying your break.

paperclip Have you had to deal with snow while you're running in the woods? This winter is sure hanging on.

Flower The mini jogger is probably good for balance too. My balance and flexibility have sure deteriated over the past few years, but I'm regaining them with exercise. Good job on your two challenges!

Chunkalunkah I'm glad I'm your weight twin! (I just saw your post from the WL Challenge). How tall are you? I'm 5-4, so it's not a pleasant weight for me to be at. It's hard to find pants that fit my rounder shape. When I'm at my normal weight, I can buy most anything in the size 6-8 range. The weight I'm losing right now is coming off my back and wrists...not helpful at all!

Hi everyone
Sperrigo maybe the mini would be good for balance and flexibility. The thing it is more known for is lymphatic system drainage. That actually is facilitated through the flexing action of the ankles while jogging on it. You sure are rocking your challenge. Great job on the calories

To me, you're positively statuesque. I'm very short, only 4'11. So we're weight twins right now, but definitely not BMI twins. My usual weight is in the 1-teens, around 115. I had a couple sedentary years and an illness that exacerbated my already slothful ways. I put on over 40 pounds during those years. I think now, I'll probably be content at around 120. My usual size was a 4 and now I'm wearing a 10. So my goal weight is basically whatever weight puts me back into that size. My cheap @ss would like to be able to wear all of my old clothes again.

I agree, it can seem bizarre where the body chooses to lose from before it hits our "trouble" spots!

Day 21 Mon 3/13 - 1,260

Flower Excellent job on getting the exercise in before bedtime! For someone who has an aversion to exercise, that is quite impressive!

Chunkalunkah I've gotten down to a size 4 before, but there wasn't much selection in jeans in that size. I was having to shop the teens dept to find some that fit. I can find clothes if I remain a size 6. I think the stores stock the bigger sizes as women have gotten so much larger over the years. Thank goodness we have the internet now...we can find most anything with it!

I'm hoping to get down to the 145's tomorrow...I can't wait to get into the lower 140's, as I'll start to look less pudgy (do people still use that word?). :

Have a great weekend my friends!!

Sperrigo - I hear ya on the smaller selection! Since I'm only 4'11, I resort to the junior's department regularly. Adult "petite" doesn't fit me as well. I'm still too short for it.

flower - Great job getting in excercise!

This challenge has helped keep me in the game. There was a day last week where I was certain I wouldn't be feeling up to exercising. I even went so far as writing in that it was a "pause day." Then later at around 9/10 pm, I felt better and had some energy. Because of this challenge, I decided to capitalize on that energy and get in a workout. I'm certain I wouldn't have kept up with it as much as I have w/o this challenge.

I've been sick the past couple days. It wasn't too bad the first couple days, but today I feel awful. So I might have to skip.

Hope you feel better Chunkahlunkah. Good job on the late exercise!!!

I agree about how this challenge is motivating. I've been very careful about what I eat because I know I have to post my calorie count here...the good and the bad. There was a birthday party at work yesterday for three of us who had March birthdays and I actually incorporated the cake calories into my plan for the day...a first for me. I woke up today at a new low on the scale...very happy! I would have gained weight if not for this challenge.

Hi everyone, *kicks a pebble, hangs head* I didn't make it past day 12 so I stopped for over a week. I also found a box of celebrations left over from christmas in the boot of the car, needless to say I brought it in from the cold to seek shelter. Everything was going smoothly, the box of celebrations had found a nice little home upon the top of my shelf within the kitchen and I had become accustomed to acknowledging it's existence during my morning routine. I'd look up and nod to the chocolates, it would nod back to me a silent respect of willpower. Trust between us was forming.

That was all about to change...

One day, I walked past a local cafe on my journey to see the bank. I peered through the window and thought, 'I've never noticed this place before', perhaps because it was tucked away in a shopping high street. Peering through the window I saw various people from all walks of life, chatting, sipping tea and reading the local newspaper. But, just behind them was an unbelievably extraordinary assortment of cakes on display. Lemon cakes, chocolate cakes, upside down cakes, velvet cakes, almond cakes, big ones, small ones, you name it they had it. My mouth began to water... Noticing this I quickly hurried away and a good thing too since the customers enjoying their tea were becoming increasingly more nervous as I stared through them with a craving hunger and lust in my eyes.

I got home and the box of celebrations nodded at me, I ignored it and took out a cucumber and started to slice chunks for a salad but soon the big red box of chocolates was becoming too hard to ignore so I abandoned the kitchen and headed up stairs for a rest. It wasn't long before I fell into a deep sleep, I dreamt that the box of celebrations was on a bed in a house late at night. I would tap on the window of the house, bear my teeth and descend into a visible mist as I seeped through the cracks of the window. Materialising back into human form, bearing my teeth at the chocolates before I swooped into feed.

I arose an hour later to my dog howling outside, as I floated down the steps and into the kitchen I looked at the 'box of celebrations', it looked back at me and we both knew that it's time had come. I lowered the celebrations gently from the shelf violently tore the seam off and devoured it.

What have I done...

Time to start running again, It's what the box of celebrations would of wanted.

Sperrigo It did snow for a bit here in the Uk, but it's all dried up now. I never ran through the woods during the time it snowed, I don't think I would risk it. I'm already imagining horror stories of slipping and breaking my leg. I would say I'm looking forward to the summer times, but I'm a big sufferer from hay fever, almost like the flowers don't want me around during their mating season.
Good job on day 17, I hope to make it there on my third try. Just think you're less than a week away from completing your 21 day challenge, only 2-4 days to go. You've done really well.

Well Job hunting sucks. I should hear about unemployment this week. This has stressed me more then I thought it would, BUT I have only gained back 3 pounds. now 221. My new challenge will be simple. I am going to start with 21 days of Exercise. I will post the exercise I do and how long. giving myself 3 pause days.

I am glad to see noone has given up. Sperrigo you have been so good on posting. You have really made some progress. Congrats!
PaperClip you can never win against your favorite chocolate in your own kitchen. LOL When are you restarting? I am doing mine 3/13/17. Lets do it together!!

I like the sound of this challenge. 21 days is hopefully achievable. I'm going to commit to 21 days of yoga at home plus I'm replacing coffee with hot water and a slice of lemon. I have already started the hot water and lemon in the mornings but I still reach for coffee in the afternoons and I'm sluggish by evening. So here's to 21 days to create my new habits.

Hi everyone!

paperclip. Your chocolate story was great! I'm glad you're returning again to the challenge.

Davisag. It's great seeing you again. Good job on practically maintaining during this stressful time and not adding another stressor to the situation.

Mommy Struggles Welcome to the challenge!

I'm finishing up the 21 day cycle today and will start another one tomorrow. I've made progress in my weight loss because of this challenge, even though I haven't been perfect.

Have a great week everyone!
