Well, I just failed for the 3rd time on my 130lb squat. Much as I want to move on to 135, I'm really committed to doing this safely, and I do have chronic back problems, so it is best not to push it. So I'll be deloading back down to 115. So it make take me a bit longer to make it to my 140lb squat. I think I may deload on my deadlift too, just to work on form.

Hi, havent posted in awhile. On july 4th I hurt my wrist, not sure how, and it kept getting worse and worse, so I am in a brace for awhile and trying to find a doc for a specialist referral. 90% sure it is TFCC which either means about another month in a brace or surgery. or both.

I am going to lift some this week and see how it goes, only certain directions hurt. A lot will depend on how well I can grip with the brace on.

Sorry about your wrist Ennay. I hope you can avoid the surgery. Be careful lifting!

Well, I took a little while off because my back and knees were bothering me, so having to deload a bit. Starting back up today, and will slowly work my way up. I recently got my first pair of lifting shoes (was originally lifting barefoot) and it really helps with my squats. Well, at least the getting down part, coming back up is still difficult! lol

Well. Deadlift is back at 135 for 2 reps. Bench press at 70 for 10 reps. I have surgery tomorrow.(shutting down the baby factory) so I'll be down for a few weeks. But hope to make some good progress

Sure you are. If you want to be stick thin, lifting isn't for you. But women don't bulk up like men. Sure, you'll get more muscular, but that's actually a good thing. You'll be stronger and less likely to be injured, you reduce the chance of osteoporosis, you'll burn more calories just by living, and it improves mood and relieves stress.

I know people like to use pictures of female bodybuilders as a reason not to lift. But that isn't normal, and frankly, not possible without taking some kind of supplement. Men can't even get that built without help.

Of course, everyone has a different view of what is attractive. I just know that I want to be strong and healthy, and I prefer muscle on a woman. It saddens me when I see a lovely slim girl, who can't manage to pick up a watermelon. But everyone has their own definition of health.
