April Exercise Challenge
No fooling around here, we're serious about our exercise goals! Whether it's to walk a mile or run a marathon.
State your exercise goal and track it throughout the month with this supportive group of fellow exercisers. We'll compile our workout goals into a list. It looks like I'll meet my exercise goals in March. April is a day shorter, but I think I'll take on the same challenges, anyway:

St. Patrick's Day is now behind me, so I'm going to dial back the dancing goal a bit and up my cross training.
April goal: 900 minutes dance, 500 minutes cross training |

This month my goal will to do those 5 times @ gym I did not do last month plus 5 more. B F R |

Over the past couple of weeks, I've begun to get back into exercising and fitness. I've mostly been building up stamina with jogging, which is slow, but it's not something I really want to pursue because of knees. Once the weather gets nicer, I'll be back on my bike though, so I hope to go for rides a few times a week. Otherwise, I plan on rotating through different crunches, sit ups, planks, lunges, and other similar exercises to tone muscle all over. Hopefully by the end of the month, I'll be totally jacked :cool: So, I guess my goals are: -Continue jogging until I can easily run 2 miles -Bike 2-3x a week -Do some sort of muscle-toning exercise 6 days a week |

I am going to go easy this challenge as our February stopped my exercise.
800 minutes divided by yoga/walk-running and walking. I may start resistance training. |
My goals this month are:
-Jog a 5K! -500 gym minutes I am registered for 2 upcoming 5Ks...April 18th and May 2nd! I am going to try very hard to complete the April 18th one running the whole thing, but I still have a few weeks left in my training (and I'm only currently running just over 2 miles) so I know it's a stretch. I'm feeling very positive about the May 2nd one though :D It's going to be a busy month! |
