Down a pound...8 more to go this month!

Well yesterday I decided to start a food journal, I have kept them before but never really examined all the information in order for it do benefit me. I was shocked to see all the sneaky carbs, fat and calories that were hidden in my usual..."this doesn't count" food and extras items, even in my sugar free coffee creamer. Needless to say, I have completely overhauled my plan and am hoping that this will be a fix to what has been holding back my weight loss and causing me to constantly get discouraged and fall off the wagon!

Hello all! I'm back, lots of snow shoveling, I think we got a few inches a day for a few days, now some bitter cold coming, yippee NOT

TinaJayne sorry for your loss and additional challenges, this is a great place to come for encouragement and just a good place to be.

Boatingmommy sorry to hear about your brother-in-law, that is scary, I worry about my brother, he's a big guy, tall and overweight and stressed out a lot. best wishes to you and your family.

Mossy I can only drink about 2 cups of coffee without getting that jittery, easily irritated feeling, I so love the flavor and often wish I could drink more, I got in a habit of measuring my creamer and using half and half instead of all flavored creamer, because I can do some damage adding that stuff without measuring. I just use a tablespoon to measure and stir. I've given up coffee a few times, it always lures me back...I went through the headaches, brain fog and then felt great without it, then started drinking it again, because I love it. I think it's good to get off it once in awhile, just to see if it makes a difference, just like giving up sugar or bread for awhile. bet of luck to you

My weight is going crazy!!! I'm up about 4 pounds from my low which puts me at a higher weight than I started the month.
Hoping it works itself out. Praying the change in meds aren't the cause and it isn't hard to fix. Of course, I always blow up like a balloon for days after TOM so I know THAT is part of it.

Jb1975: my weight has been above my start weight all month. And, then, today, it wooshed to a new low. I was actually expecting it to go up due to salt in movie popcorn. That scale is completely unpredictable!

February goal: -0.9kgs

CW: 86.6 (-0.45, new low for 2015)

What a thoughtful post....

All of you give me thinkity ideas to ponder on. I'm trying to wean myself off of coffee. Some days I think simply making another pot will solve all of my problems. There's more than a caffeine element to coffee that grabs you. Even the TV 'House Doctors' say that there are great antioxidants in coffee and properties about coffee that prevent kidney stones, help migraines....so it's gotta be more than caffeine. Mt. Dew has caffeine and it doesn't do the same things. So, I'm dialing my brew down. I remember not ever stalling out for months (plateau) when I wasn't drinking coffee.
