8/3: 191.6 (+2.6)
8/4: 191.8 (+2.8) My weekend gain is usually more than this, maybe a sign of good things to come!

tinneranne2 I have an analogic scale and sometimes i'm not sure what's my weight. If the ticker is exactly in between kilos i just assume i weight something.5 and so on.... i may get it a few hundred grams wrong but i've made peace with it. I used to weight once a week but i find it is easy for me to lose control, because 7 days is a lot of time and if i'm not doing well it could be enough time for me to gain 1 or 2 kilos. I have a friend who's a nutritionist and she sugested that i weigh myself every other day, so i'd usually weigh at tuesdays, thursdays and sundays. Since i started participating in this thread i've been weighing daily and this is helping me understand how my weight fluctuates, which is actually really nice. At first it was weird, but i'm kinda getting used to it.
I'm slow getting started this month, but I finally decided that I needed to get a starting weight, ignore whatever it was last month, and just focus on it going down from here. So, my starting weight is 83.25 and my goal is 1.25kgs.
Welcome everyone! Did I get your goal stated correctly?
SeeMyFeet: did you want to set a goal?
Teal_rose: many of us update daily, but you are welcome to use this challenge in whatever way is most helpful to you.
tinneranne2: daily weighing works best for me, once I got past letting the scale number pass judgment on me or effect my day in anyway (it's just data).
Sunshine0514 I'm going to start Insanity if about 12 days (after finishing SHRED). I've never done it before, but a friend recommended it after he lost 90lbs. He never worked out before in his life and started the Insanity after being tired of being over weight. He said he vomited... but I'm guessing I'll avoid that as it's not my first work out. XD Hopefully, but he said it was good.
tinneranne2 I weigh myself daily and then add my weight to a graph I'm keeping. I see ups and downs, but I am more concerned with the best fit slope for the entire graph. As long as that is about 1lb or more a week, I'm doing great! I'll expect that to slow down to maybe a half pound the closer I get to goal.
I also like my graph because I'll check the up days or the big UPS to see the days before what I ate or how much water I logged. I started to learn that high sodium days or days with less water consumption (or a mix) were leading to my UP days. So now if my scale goes up I realize it's not a big deal and was a sodium day, and try better that day. It really helps me learn about my body as well as control my reactions when I'm seeing ups on the scale, I know my overall are down, and that's what counts.
kurisitaru I have a weight graph too! I use a brazilian app that does the graph for me and all i have to do is add my weight whenever i want. It is really interesting to see the ups and downs and daily fluctuations. Oh, and congrats on the fast weight loos! It's like you're going through a looong big woosh!

Starting a few days late, but can I join? I want to lose 10 pounds in August. I just started the Fast Metabolism Diet by Haylie Pomroy so I'm thinking this should be feasible. Any loss of poundage will be a win, though.
tinneranne, one kg increments would be frustrating as ****! Most of the time that's 2+ weeks of progress for me. I know it varies for everyone, but I like to weigh every day. That lets me see all the little fluctuations so I don't freak out if it goes up a little on weigh-in day. I just make sure the average keeps heading the right direction. I too have a graph so I can watch the trend. I love graphs...
