  • Hoping to repeat the sucessful first challenge
    I lost 8.2lbs (3.7kg) in the first 7-week challenge and 5.9lbs (2.7kg) in the second 9-week challenge, where I hit a nerve-wracking plateou. Afterwards I fell of the wagon a little. Anyway, dieting has it's ups and downs and I still hope to lose 8lbs (3.6kg) in this 9-week challenge like I did in the first one. It'd be really nice to get out of the 180s finally. Wish me well.

  • i am doing horribly, I will feel great if I get down to where I began.
  • I finally remembered to weigh in today (oops). Down a touch on the high, but I'm really hoping at this point I just get out of the negative pounds lost before the end of the challenge!
  • I've been traveling most of the last 2 weeks. While I haven't lost a thing this challenge, I'm glad I've avoided a vacation gain

    I'm pretty okay with staying the same. It's a LOT farther along than I thought I'd be at this point, so I'm happy to maintain 155 for a week or three.

  • Week 5 Weigh In!

    I have been missing a lot lately for the last few weeks, only coming to check back in every couple of days.

    I've been doing pretty terrible, but I refuse to give up. I just need to find my motivation again. I'm back to the heaviest I've been in two years which is depressing. My clothes look awful on me and I feel terrible in them. I got news during the week of a wedding that is in October - I would like to have 20lbs off my then. A small doable goal if I put my mind to it!

    Do any of you use anything good weigh loss apps I could get on my phone? I'd be interested to hear about them.

  • Down 1.8 this week and back into the 160s. Yay! I plan on upping my activity a little bit this week; I ran 6 miles in all this past week, I plan on adding a few this week. In the long run that will be a good thing, but it may cause a stall on the scale next week. Hopefully drinking plenty of water will keep things moving in the right direction.

    Dreamer: I have several apps I use, depending on what you are looking for. For tracking calories, I use My Fitness Pal. For tracking activity, I use UP but it syncs with my Jawbone UP activity monitor (so the app would be useless unless you have one of those). For running, I use Ease Into 5K and Zombies Run. There are a few others that I consider health-related apps, like one that finds local farmer's markets, a paleo app, and a tea-drinking app. :-)
