Day 11--Friday, May 8: No sweets, no spuds.
Day 12--Saturday, May 9: No sweets, no spuds. I was proud of myself today for avoiding ordering the dish at the restaurant that comes with some tasty mashed potatoes. I opted for another item on the menu that was spud-free.

Day 3 cardio with weights.
Day 4 Pilates - didn't want to get up, but the challenge forced me out of bed.
Day 5 cario and strength training.
Day 6 Walked across town
Day 7 walked across town and a lil futhers, didn't want to do it, but didn't want to use a pause day and in the end it felt good.

I will drink a glass of water before each reception or other event at work where I know sweets will be served. On days when there are no reception events, I will just add an extra glass of water to drink at work at any time.

Day 15--Tuesday, May 12: No sweets, no spuds.

Pause Day #2--Wednesday, May 13: I do not like unplanned pause days. A dear friend gave me the gift of a brownie for lunch. I managed to resist it at lunch, but put it in my bag and took it home. So after work I ate it. It tasted amazing, this challenge is definitely helping me to really taste the potatoes and desserts when I get them more rarely. But I should have found some way to give away, or throw away, that brownie. Just because a well-meaning person puts a food in my hands doesn't mean I have to eat it. Usually I am ok to avoid the sweets if they are laid out on a table, but being directly handed a brownie is somehow beyond my current powers of refusal.

Challenge: change just one small habit!

Journal everything I eat and post my sugar TREATS . I need accountability and am thinking that posting will help keep my sugar intake down. Three pause days allowed.

May 9th- Day 11, 2 Dove, and 1 huge haystack cookie. --- p.m. - 2 pb cookies witch the scale showed this a.m. and I felt quite full after eating, darn it.
May 10th - PAUSE DAY #1
May 11th - Day 12, Journal - 3 Dove
May 12th - Day 13, Journal - 3 Dove & 1 pb cookie
May 13th - Day 14, Journal - 4 Dove & 1 pb cookie-----gonna be hard to loss weight with all these goodies, gotta behave better :o

DrGeri,Perhaps ask the friend for no more sweet gifts. Your are doing great, planned pause day or not.

Day 16--Thursday, May14: No sweets, no spuds.

Pause Day 3--Friday, May 15: Aaagh, another unplanned pause day. Again I won the battle with myself to pass up the pie served at the banquet. And that took work! But then I was directly handed the gift of four litte chocolates, and there was no resisting. Saturday is going to be hard with no pause days left. I have to get through the next five days sweet and spud free.

Day 9 Standing Pilates and some yoga...couldn't hold all the poses, but I liked the stretch.
Day 10 - Cardio- trying to give the muscle time to rest.
Day 11 - weights & walk cross town
Day 12 - Cardio - did the min, but got it done....I am on a 14 day challenge, will be happy when I get to 15..I am dreaming of pause days 5/20

I made it through the weekend! Only three more days to get through.
