LOL Sue! Last month I walked 113 miles. This month I won't get that in because of my 10 day vacation. I will be happy with two marathons for this month
The man on the radio just said the wind chill is 12 below (Fahrenheit). So my miles will continue to be on the treadmill at the fitness club. blaahhh !! I am getting cabin fever.
Buddha belly, can you give me some guidance on a step to miles conversion that is appropriate for you? I personally count on my right foot, so by some accountings I count two steps as one stride. For me jogging 820 strides = a mile. I have variously heard that a marathon is about 40,000 steps, and also that 10,000 steps is around 5 miles, not sure which is true. SO HOW SHOULD WE COUNT FOR YOU? LMK.
Based on concurrence of a treadmill with a pedometer, I count 2,000 steps as a mile. I am just updating in my original posting. I kind of don't think I will make an entire marathon but I think the running/jogging spurts might be good for me, so...
Start - 2/1 =3.25 miles walking today
2/2 = 2.5 miles walking
2/3 = 2.25 miles walking
2/4 = 1.75 miles walking ( my friend got winded but he walked!
2/5 = 2.5 miles walking
2/7 = 2.0 miles walking
2/8 = 2.50 miles walking
2/9 = 2.75 miles walking
Total for month so far: 19.50 Exercise miles only
