I am hoping to lose 40 lbs this year. That is 3.33 lbs a month. I'm joining this challenge on 2/26 at 216.8. The year started at 231 and the goal for 12/31 is 191.

Well this made me cry a little inside, but I have to be honest and keep going. Started by with my walking and the AHA competition starts at work soon, so hopefully the added exercise will get me motivated.

I think I would like to come join a long term challenge. I am late to the party, but I can do 7 months! :) I weigh on Fridays! and I would love to see 250 (70 pounds lost, 10 pounds a month) by the end of the year. That's a bit ambitious, so realistically, with holidays and moving (possibly twice), I'm hoping to get to 270, so 50 pounds lost, by the end of December. I like to set a base goal, then an "ambitious" goal to reach for if I do better than I thought I would.

I'll be starting by missing a week, because I'll be traveling, but it's a work trip for DH, and I'm tagging along to visit family after the work part is done since it'll be up that way. The hotel has a fitness center, so I'm taking my gym clothes with me!

How did I not see this when I started back? My initial goal was to get to under 200 by Dec. 31, but since I'm rocking and rolling the first of the weight loss, I'm going to make it "harder" for me. Let's shoot for 190. I "started" on April 1st.

ok.. it took me all month to lose the weight gain from the 1st week.. but I am down 3 lbs for the whole month.. I still have 45 more lbs to go before the end of the year (that is my goal) JUNE has no more Birthdays in my family so I am golden this month! WOOHOO!

Easily... thank you and INCHES lost.. well I say that is better than a number (as it shows in how we LOOK!) and you are doing so darn well in this journey. I just love your posts and thoughts and ideas! I am glad you share with us!

ADD.. You are just going forward every week.. Every Week.. Even tho not a huge loss... It is a loss everyweek and that is AWESOME (I know an overused word.. but that is the best word for what you are doing!)

Noname.. WOW 19 lbs off for the year.. I have a feeling you are gonna get close to your goal before that clock turns 1/1/15!

Sum.. the Low 30's are calling you! with all your walking.. those lbs have no place to hide! :D

wannaskipandlaugh So sweet of you! Thank you for that post :D How are you doing so far this month? It definitely helps when there's no birthdays or celebrations!!!

I am hoping I reach my year's mini-goal early...in fact, my 10 year high school reunion is in October, and I'd love to be at 180 by then. But I won't officially adjust the goal until I get closer. We'll see how June goes :P
