  • I was down a half pound this morning…at least I’m back in the 130’s!

    SW: 140.0
    GW: 135.0

    11/1: DNW
    11/2: 139.5

Turtle: Woohoo...look at you go…down in the 155’s!

Joy: I fully agree with your comments. I attribute at least half of my success so far to this thread and the companion exercise thread…they really keep me honest and motivate me to stay OP, both in my eating and my exercise.

183StGB: What is a Brezel? It sounds good, but I’ve never heard of it before…even though my Mom is from Germany.

Sue: Nice whoosh…I hope you have a few more like that in the near future!

Sum: You’ll be back in the 140’s before you know it.

BFR, kalijpa, highcidity, twish, soon2beskinny, jbhigdon, LfChanges: Good luck with your November goals!
  • yesterday's weigh-in: 79,4kg (175.0lbs)
    yesterday's calories: 2500
    yesterday's exercise: 50min run/walk
    today's weigh-in: 80,1kg (176.5lbs)
    change: +0,7kg (+1.5lbs)

    hii

Despite good intentions till lunch, I ended up eating what I wanted. I don't really feel bad though; I wanted it, it was good, and since actions have consequences, my weight is going up like crazy.
Well, whatever, today is a new day (with new good intentions), I don't sweat it

soon2beskinnyCarma I like your plan. Your exercise sounds well balanced and super fun! Good luck this month

    wannaskipandlaugh amazing loss! well done!

Tuscany a brezel is... a pretzel it's a little different than what you buy at the malls in the US -- we kinda consider the soft pretzels you dip in cheese sauce blasphemy... and the chocolate covered stuff in ice-cream is just weird. Brezel is basically an own food group in Southern Germany, and so good!

    Happy Sunday everyone!
  • Whew! Talk about fluctuations! Yesterday I woke up 2 lbs up to 183.5, and that was trouble because yesterday was my cheat day (for those of you who are new to the thread, a weekly cheat day is a part of my weight loss plan: a modified version of the Slow Carb Diet), so today I'm up to 185.5! I have to confess that in the last couple of days, I have not drunk enough water. I just have a harder time drinking water when the weather turns cold. It always seems to make me feel colder. Nevertheless, I have to improve on that this week! 2 water-weight lbs after cheat day is fine but 4 water-weight lbs in 2 days???!

    SW: 183
    GW: 177
    CW: 185.5

    11/1: 181.5
    11/2: 183.5 Cheat Day
    11/3: 185.5

Joy, wow, I can't wait to be able to declare maintenance! I'm so happy for you! And I've noticed the same thing you have about successful weight loss, so I hope everyone jumps in with both feet and keeps posting! Thanks for the list!

Hi watchoutforthatcar, 80 lbs so far!?! You are an inspiration! Good luck in November!

Hi Rsadler126, I do hope you make it out of the 210's this month! Good luck!

MrsK, hiya chickie! I'll be PMing you soon!

Turtle, researchers say sugar is a drug, so it's no wonder it makes us sluggish! I hope you're feeling better! Love seeing your scale moving in the right direction! Woohoo!

Stiletto, no change is always better than a gain!

Sum, sometimes our bodies have a mind of their own! I know you'll drop back into the 140's very soon!

Twish, wow! That is quite a goal! Good luck!

    Woodstock, yay on the drop!

Tuscany, well it *was* a great start for me, lol! Congrats on the half lb down!

BFR, yay, you're back! 12 lbs is quite a lofty goal. 10 lbs is still ambitious but you can do it! 6 is nothing to sneeze at! Great job last month and good luck this month! So glad to have you back!

Kelijpa, Wow, you are doing great! Good to have you in the challenge! Good luck!

183, you are doing so well! I don't think an occasional freshly baked brezel will hurt you unless of course, it's a trigger and apparently it's not because you have a renewed determination! Good for you!

Hi highcidity! Glad you joined us! Good luck!

Hi soon2beskinnyCarma! Sounds like you have a good weightloss/fitness plan! (EWW, lol) Good luck!

Wannaskip, yay on the 1.6 lb drop! Woohoo!

Hi jbhigdon! Good for you not waiting to join in! I hope you are feeling better soon!

Hi lfchanges! Whew, that's a big goal! Good luck!

Hope everyone is having a great weekend. We had family dinner today for my sister-in-law. Every year one of the local churches has a sausage supper, and we get dinner to celebrate her being another year older. The order consists of Sausages (5 or 6 links), mashed potatoes, gravy, the world's best sour kraut, green beans, corn, homemade applesauce and a desert. AAaaaargh! So, I took out two of the sausages and had the sour kraut and a little of the homemade applesauce. The rest my hubby can take to work for lunch. It was really tough because our family looks forward to this every year and it is soooo yummy. But, I think I did a good job of making smart choices.
I see several of you are already making those scales move! Way to go!!!
