Cleancowgirl, I am from New Castle originally, but I am now in Slippery Rock. My middle child actually played fall baseball for Wilmington this fall. So nice to meet someone so close.

Wow you are close. Pretty cool.
I went shopping with my daughter yesterday. She wanted arbys, I had the farm house salad but with the lf dressing ended up being 1750 in soduim!! I try to keep mine under 2200mg and drank over 72 ounces water but the sodiym was a bit up. Weight 213.6 again. I am ok with that. Going to drink up today.
I am scheduled for 4 straight night shifts . Why did say I would work extra??? Oh yea Christmas.

I seen 219 this morning!!!!!! I am not going to officially count that until my weigh in day on Thursday, I hope it is still there by then. We still have 18 more days until Thanksgiving, I think I am now going to aim for 215.

cleancowgirl, I really have no idea how I am doing. The same day that I got a 219 I also got a 225. So I am either doing really good or really bad. I am just going to keep eating well, doing between 2 and 2.5 miles on the treadmill, and trying on "those" pants. I am taking a pic each week of me in those pants so I can look back and really see when my work pays off.
I eat when I get stressed so I am trying to get holiday menus worked out and the Christmas budget together. I think I am going to do most of my shopping on Amazon this year. I think I am going to add a new scale on the Christmas list LOL. I go to the doctor every 3 months ( for my diabetes check up)and they always take my weight, sometimes I think I should just work hard and be surprised every 3 months.
I hope we can all make it through the holidays without a gain.

Hanging in there. Thanks for asking, cleancowgirl. TOM is about to rear its ugly head and I have had the munchies all day. Got my exercise in though so that's good. I weigh in on fridays, so wont know for a couple days if I lost this week, but I always expect it to be wonky this time of month. Need to go shopping. Running out of healthy snacks.

Susan I remember you telling me you kept your scale in the trunk of your car to prevent you from weighing yourself too often. Cold and temp flucauations can make digital scales off. So make sure you keep the scale in a room temp room before weighing.

Wow, this month is a fight. I'm not doing anything different but the weight loss has definitely slowed. My target was to be under 183 today, but instead I'm185. I'll take it, but I wish it was bigger.

Then again, I finally broke down and bought a new pair of work jeans recently. And now they are starting to get a little baggy.

was only trying to lose 10 and I am up to 14. Just hope when thanksgiving comes I don't blow it. Working really hard to keep on track until turkey time, so that I am able to have a couple small treats on thanksgiving day.

I am down to 213.2. Just .4 lbs but last night had a piece of salted caramel cake from a real bakery. Omg it was wonderful. The bakery is suppose to compete in cupcake wars and this flavor got this in the competition. I am starting a new plan today . It is dolvett quinces 3-1-2-1 program. Stll clean eating but says how on ce you must cheat to put your metabolism in a super fat burning mode. I highly reccomend the book. I am a nurse and thought I knew it all about ce but wow, totally makes sense why twice a week you need to cheat. There are some things I can tweek with his plan too that I can feel can make a difference and boy is he very inspiring.

Cleancowgirl, keep me updated on how the 3-1-2-1 plan works for you. I do a modified low carb and a lot of plans I have be reading recently say the same thing. You have to have a cheat day to keep hour metabolism going. Let me know if you stall. With the holidays approaching and holiday parties, a cheat day would be nice.

The weight is down a bit more to 212.7. Going to start the dolvett plan tomorrow including his exercise plan. I will let you know how it goes.

I moved my scale from the bathroom with the square tiles and the grout cracks to the hardwood floor in the hall and that seems to have helped me to get the same results when I step on and off several times in a row. I just got 218.5 and I think that is probably right. I need to look back through this thread and track my weight and the dates. I am still not focussing on the numbers too much. I just really want to be able to wear those pants soon. They button but I still have too much of a muffin top to be able to wear them to work. I was hoping I could by thanksgiving but now I am thinking I might have to wait until Christmas.

Susan How often do you eat? You should be eating every 3 hours or so, it will keep those sugars from dropping and having high spikes.

I do try to eat 5 times a day most days. I am having trouble I think because I am getting more exercise in everyday. I am on an insulin pump and I think I am going to need to change my basal settings and also my carb:insulin ratio. I wear a Dexcom CGM and I am even getting lows in the middle of the night and having to get something to eat or juice a few times a week.

Your body is probally needing less insulin and that is such a good thing. You are making wonderful progress.
I can't believe our challenge has a week left! We will be having a Christmas challenge if anyone is interested. I figure start the day after thanksgiving and we can run it though til new years eve. I am down to 211.4 still have 1.4 lbs to lose to make my goal but going to seriously try.

Less insulin is an AWESOME thing. I would love to get off of this pump and insulin completely!!!!

I will join the next challenge. I really need to post everyday and post how much walking I get in everyday. That should help me be more accountable too.
My scale is still up and down by at least 3 pounds with in 30 seconds. I need to get a new one I guess. Hopefully by the time the next challenge starts I will have figured out how to post pics on here. Since I don't trust my scale very much I have been taking pics every week or so of my self with "those" pants on to track my progress. I am actually telling a pretty good difference from the pictures.
I hope to see more people join in. I try to be more active and supportive in our next thread.
I need to get at least 15 miles in this last week to help me get as close as I can to 215.

My Friday weigh in went well. Down 4 lbs this week. I will take it!!!! Since I weigh in on fridays, my next one is the day after thanksgiving. Not looking forward to it, but I have a plan and hopefully it works, LOL!

Well there's no way I'm getting to goal this month. I seem to be entering a new phase in my weight loss. Need to adjust to the idea that it might be slower for now, might even stop at some point. So at the moment it's a mental battle, learning the difference between what I can control (how much I eat and exercise) and what I can't (how much weight I lose).

A disappointing month to be sure, since my weight loss each month until now has been in the double digits. But sooner or later, it was going to slow.

Accepting my 'failure' was thus the big victory this month. As an overachieving emotional eater, learning to accept when things don't go my way is so hard. I feel like this month really taught me that.
