  • For those of is in the US, at least, we're coming up to Back to School time which always feels like a kind of a new year for me -- even though it's been a long time since I've actually gone back to school. That's a great energy to borrow for an exercise challenge. Join us in August!

    State your goal and track it throughout the month with this supportive group of fellow exercisers. We'll compile our exercise goals into a list. As each goal is met during the month, it gets turned RED in celebration.

  • Yay! I really liked the July challenge, so I'm up for an August one!

    Goal: to walk/run three miles 2x a week, continue to lift weights 3x a week, and complete the Lazyman Marathon.

    August 1 - 3.1 miles (3.1/26.2)
    August 2 - lift weights
    August 3 - rest day

    August 4 - rest day
    August 5 - .5 (3.6/26.2), lift weights
    August 6 - 2 miles (5.6/26.2)
    August 7 - .5 mile (6.1/26.2), lift weights

    August 9 - biked 7.5 miles (does not count towards Lazyman Marathon), lift weights

  • I only caught the tail end of the July challenge, but I really enjoyed logging my exercise consistently. On to August!

    Goals: run at least 80 miles in August, exercise at least 22 days of the month

    8/1 - ran 5 miles, walked 2 miles
    8/2 - walked 3.5 miles
    8/3 - ran 5 miles, walked 5 miles
    8/4 - ran 6.2 miles, walked 4.5 miles
    8/5 - nothing
    8/6 - ran 11.25 miles, walked 2 miles
    8/7 - 20 minutes on a stationary bike, walked 6 miles
    8/8 - ran 8 miles, walked 2 miles
    8/9 - ran 5 miles, walked 2 miles

  • I'd like to join this challenge. My plan is to jump on my kids trampoline for 2 x 20 minute sessions. Do 2 x 30 minute Pilates sessions at home. Do 1 cross trainer 30 minute session each week. I haven't exercised for a long time so I'm starting small. I'm following a very low cal plan and it recommends no exercise so I will take it easy. Is there a spread sheet somewhere, do I need to write a list elsewhere?? Thanks for this.

  • My August goal is to walk 150 km PLUS do 1,000 minutes (approx 30 min per day) of some other form of exercise, such as weights, swimming, biking, etc.
  • Put me down for another 1000 mins in August!
  • I want to jump right into this challenge, but I injured my heel 3 weeks ago and on some days I can barely walk at all, so I'm setting a very light 2-fold goal for this month: Walk each day that I can and don't walk when I hurt so that I don't injure myself further (which I keep doing. Stubborn. Pain does serve a purpose, unfortunately!)
