GW:146.4 lbs

It's moving in the right direction. Yeah!

Only Believe 07-24-2013 03:18 PM

Oh yeah before I forget Pnkrckpixikat, tell me about the lemon water, how much do you drink and is it fresh lemon or bottled? You also mentioned coffee.. you aren't putting the lemon in the coffee are you? :?: I read that cranwater (1 ounce 100% unsweetened cranberry juice to 7 oz water) flushes out water weight too. I drink that sometimes. Though it's quite sour and my face shows it when I drink it.:lol3:

Edited to add - Way to go Matisse, Keep it up!

pnkrckpixikat 07-24-2013 03:27 PM

AGGGHHHHH NO LEMON IN COFFEE!!! ewwwww:tired: never heard about the cranberry juice. For lemon water I have lemon juice in a bottle that I add in my diet cokes, I figured I would just add a couple tablespoons or something to a bottle of water. IDK if that is too little or enough or what, Sue mentioned lemon water a couple days ago so I figured why not lemon up my water to give my coffee method an additional boost. Maybe we should poke her and ask what a good ratio is? Or i suppose I could google if she doesn't answer. I'd rather trust her then complete unknowns yaknow?

ETA: maybe it is supposed to be the same ratio as the cranberry water?

pnkrckpixikat 07-24-2013 03:34 PM

hmmmm... what about pineapple/pineapple juice? it is supposed to help reduce swelling...

Matisse 07-24-2013 03:35 PM

I do not want to contradict anyone, but an espresso with a lemon peel is a classic. The zesty oils marries well with the earthy flavours of the coffee beans. I would not have it everyday like that but it's a worthy variation. It's also very good if you decide to chill your espresso (no added milk or cream then).

Only Believe 07-24-2013 03:42 PM

We'll see what Sue says about lemon water. Cranwater is part of the fat flush diet though I've never tried that diet. I just read where someone here said cranwater flushes out toxins and can get rid of cellulite!! So I got a couple of bottles of the juice and I make cranwater sometimes. It can't hurt to try.
I have never heard of lemon in coffee, Matisse. I do like coffee and usually have a cup or two a day lately.

pnkrckpixikat 07-24-2013 09:56 PM

hmmm lemon in coffee, interesting, i guess it makes sense... but i use milk so still no lemon coffee for my, it would make the milk curdle lol

cranwater gets rid of cellulite!!! I call BS since cellulite is just pockets of empty skin from what I understand lol but I have heard about the toxin thing, maybe Ill give it a try... I like lemon juice since it is practically 0 cals its like 5 cals for 1/2 cup or something crazy like that so since i use maybe a teaspoon a day i dont bother counting it

wannaskipandlaugh 07-25-2013 07:12 AM

Yeah Ninae ! Down a lb... Oh Good!!!! I am thinking you are showing us how to do it! and Matisse Yeah for you too!!

pixikat and Only Believe... :LOL you 2 crack me up! Tho that coffee with the lemon peel sounds interesting.... I just squeeze a lemon (about a 5th of a lemon) in water and put alittle Pinky stuff in it (sorta sugar free lemonade)... Tho I was told (on a vacation in the Caribbean a few years ago not to use any kind of sweetner) but the lemon water does help shed water!!! I just forget about it sometimes (and I can't afford lemons right at this time and noone has a tree nearby for me to pilfer! lol) But it worked again for me!!! Down another 1/2 today Yah!

Hey ladies- about the lemon water- I don't go a day without filling my water bottle with a few slices if lemon or lime and a couple slices of cucumber! It's delicious and makes water weight and bloating disappear! Even during the dread TOM! I just keep refilling my bottle throughout the day with water and it lasts me the day:)

Also- I'm addicted to coffee:) tempted to try a lemon in it--- could be disastrous:) lol

Oh is that what she said? :dizzy:well maybe I wanted to do it 4 times faster than y'all
Went out to lunch with hubby. I told myself I needed a good meal out to get going again.
I'd better go drink some lemon water.

pnkrckpixikat 07-25-2013 04:38 PM

hahahaha not sure upping the lemon ratio will speed it up, might as well eat the lemon straight if it does :P

Hello Mountain Mama,

Lemon will only be good in an espresso. Preferably one with crema (the beige froth on top of it. It means the grind and blend are just right.) Also, you need a citrus zester to take only the yellow part of the zest. This way, the white bitter part is out which you do not want since coffee is already bitter. This is also why you do not want lemon juice since coffee is already acidic. The oils, sweetness and tang of the yellow zest though add something to the cup.

It's a nice diversion after a fancy meal instead of dessert. Or for an afternoon energy boost while everyone else is having a cocktail.

OK, I confess to being a coffee geek. :o
