Question for others doing this challenge: What do you consider "exercise"? for instance, is walking 0.25 miles exercise? Is 1 mile? does working out for 10 minutes count? or only 30 minutes and above?

Obviously it will vary for everyone, but I'm wondering what standards you set for yourself in regards to meeting the 100 day goal :)

I think everyone has to determine for themselves based on their own bodies and whatever health issues they carry. For me I either have to FINISH an exercise video (I use several from YouTube), or do a complete circuit of physical therapy exercises, or workout in the pool until I'm exhausted ;)

I have severe arthritis in both knees and one of my shoulders, so running isn't an option for me.

The only exercise I count is my scheduled workouts. My weight lifting is always scheduled and I do Xsets/Xreps for a certain amount of days before moving on to a higher amount and then a higher amount again.

My walking marked down on the challenge is all scheduled too! I have a 2 mile walk, 2.3 mile walk and a 3 mile walk. There has been a few days where I've taken a major short cut so it's been shorter like my walking yesterday, the 28th. I actually do a lot more walking because it is 1 mile walk to work and 1 mile walk from work. Majority of the time I do the 2 miles the day I am working but I don't count it.

I think it depends on the person. Everyone is different and I do think it depends on the level of ability the body can handle. If someone is not extremely fit and they do 0.5 miles walking, they could count that and I think that's fine! It's whatever an individual counts as exercise.

You don't have to begin back at the start of June. Today could be your Day 1.The topic started the 1st of June but many others have joined during the month and made the day they started their Day 1! :)

I am officially on day 6 of exercise. Had a break in there. Going to try to remember to log in to here each day.

What a good idea, I think I'm going to look up YouTube exercises tonight.

This challenge is officially the best 3FC idea I've ever had! I was just updating my daily workout and realized I've worked out 16 of the past 18 days! This is unheard of for me!

soon2beskinnyCarma 07-02-2013 10:40 PM

Didn't walk this morning. Felt guilty tonight despite cleaning my moms house it was a lot of stop and go so i did walk at 9:45 at night for a half an hour. So atleast i took care of my heart.

That's awesome! I'm hoping this challenge will get me in the habit of regularly working out.

Cleaning can be a pretty physical activity. I love evening walks, around here we have lots of fireflies which are fun to watch :)

Day 33 down. :)

I had a realisation today. I've exercised every day since May 26th. Started this challenge on June 1st. However, my eating has been so up and down all of June that when I stepped on the scale on July 1st I was back to 142lbs. It was a little annoying - but I know it was my own fault. So July's goal is (still exercise daily and get to my 100 days ;)) but control my foods! I've been doing well so far and I stepped on the scales this morning I was 141. Oddly enough, I feel and look slimmer (in my opinion) yet the scales aren't moving and neither are the measurements! Weight loss can be so confusing sometimes!!

Anyways, it gave me great motivation for exercise today that I did my weight lifting sets x2 and I did a 5 mile walk! When I was out walking and I was struggling or getting tired I just told myself to keep on going. The minute I got home I collapsed on my bed! :p I've now decided to set myself a goal of losing 20lbs by November 1st. I'm hoping this will help my eating and get that sorted! Around the 7th or 8th is my graduation from college so I would like to look nice in my pictures.

Thanks, I know it burns calories but it was way too stop and go. I totally logged it into my exercise log but did not eat any of the calories because it was just too much stop and go. Awesome on the lowest weigh in.
