Gmornin ladies~
Worked in my yard most of yesterday as well as my 3 mile walk and 90 lower ab work, 60 upper ab work and stayed within my calories. The downfall is the sketti sauce was high in sodium and well i can feel it this a.m. good thing ive got more work in the yard i plan on doing today to work it off. My left hip aches like a toothache and has caused a nimb
, tingly feeling to run from the tips of my pinky and ring fingers to the tips of my pinky and next toe so i know that means ive irritated a nerve in my back again so the jogs are off for a bit til it works itself out again.
Shepherd- great job on the walks! I love my walks
Ross- welcome to camp! Lol betty boop is my fav cartoon character and when i found the "fluffy" pic of her i had to have it and use it as my goal pix to go from rolling hills to dangerous curves ahead lol!
Make small weekly goals to work on each week and come here any time you need/want to!

Hey - I would like to join your Fat Camp!
My plan is ro check in on Sundays to let you all know how I did on my weekly plan:
eating - No S Diet, low-carb edition
exercise - 3x per week at-home weight training routine, 5x per week walking, at least 30m
Only weighing myself once a month or so. No scale at home (long story...) but I have enough dr visits for my youngest daughter and myself that I can always find a Dr.'s office scale every 4 -6 weeks.
Currently, I am 237. I have lost 9 pounds since 2/21...so I am hoping for losses of about 5 pounds per month.
My immediate goal is 232 (5 more pounds) by 5/20 (my next Dr appt)
My short term goal is 221 (10% of my starting weight) by 7/31. That will be 25 pounds lost!
My long term goal is 199 by the end of the year. That will be another 22 pounds over 5 months.
2014 is another story. Not looking that far ahead yet!

Good morning everybodaaay,
First off - Thanks for the nice WELCOME
I have reached my first mini goal! Yesterday I had my weigh-in and I'm finally back to 139.8 lbs! It's close, I know, but hey, I made it I wanted to be back in the 130s and that's where I am
So my goal for this week (04/25 - 05/01) is to get as far away from the 140s as possible. I'm hoping for a 1.5 lbs weight loss!
CW: 139.8 lbs
GW: 138.3 lbs
TOM is gonna be here soon so I'm hoping it's not gonna throw me off :/
munchey - Oh my Goodness, I absolutely LOVE dried mangoes Since I'm half-filipina I grew up eating them ALOT! The only downside: they're super expensive :/
Alrighty, let's all have a successful Thursday!

GOOD MORNING CAMPERS!
I'm going to go through a little mental exercise to encourage myself. I encourage others to jump in and try their own version. Personally, it will serve to scare myself skinny, lol
WHAT I HATE ABOUT BEING FAT:
I hate the feeling of fat - especially in the midsection!
I hate that I don't feel good in my clothes - extra fat is uncomfortable!
I hate that my breasts are too heavy (was a large A or small B most of my life)
I hate that the extra weight is likely putting extra strain on my knees and causing other issues.
I hate that I don't look good in my clothes and am embarrassed about being fat
REALITY:
I can't go back to making the same mistakes and expecting a different result
I can't afford to go any more yo-yo dieting - It has to work this time and I own the outcome
Even though my blood sugar in still in the normal range, I'm within 7 points of moving into
the prediabetic range.
I have knee replacements in my future, It will be a lot easier and I will get a better result if I am at goal weight or at least close to it.

ACCOMPLISHMENTS:
The scale is moving down!
I'm feeling less uncomfortable in some of my clothes and can wear most of my X-large items
My energy level is better
I haven't had a back ache for the last 2 months
My appetite has decreased
WHAT I'M THANKFUL FOR:
I'm thankful that I've found low calorie food that I like
I'm thankful that I'm close to wearing a smaller bra size
I'm thankful that I'm within site of moving from an x-large to a large in some clothes
I'm thankful that I have knees (I'm thinking about the victim in Boston)

That is what I need right now. I have become frustrated with my lack of progress and I have nobody to blame but myself and knowing that is the reason in even more frustrating. SOmetimes I feel like there is something wrong with me. WHy cant I just be consistent with my diet choices. I love working out so that is not a problem ( even though I have to wake up at 5 am to do it) I make it work. But my food choices are so inconsistent i just shoot myself in the foot with all the hard work I put in in the gym. SO yeah I could call it a weight loss plataeu... but i would be just making an excuse for myself. It is just me making poor choices. Ok anyways... hope this finds all you beautiful woman well!

Welcome to Camp!
You can do this! I can relate to the feeling that there is something wrong with me, lol! I know that my issue has been anxiety issues and dealing with it with food. Sometimes, I wish I were one of those persons that eats a small portion of something and acknowledges they are full, while I want to eat the whole bag/container, etc.
I think for us, mindful eating is something we need to practice and acknowledge when we are full. I have to keep reminding myself to make the wise choices, and that I really don't feel better when I eat a huge portion of most things. There is a point when you eat too much of something that it turns into a mindless action and the satisfaction from what you are eating turns to a big negative (doesn't even taste good any more.)

Congrats on reaching the mini goal!
The dried mango is expensive. I buy it at one of the discount stores (Costco or Sam's Club). I justify the expense because it is a healthier alternative for a sweet snack and in the past I'm many times spend a much or more on unhealthy snacks. Sometimes, I've eaten a few pieces of dark chocolate with some mango (makes for a tasty combo).

A FAT CAMP ASSIGNMENT
Your assignment, if you choose to accept it, is to go shopping in your closet or find an inspiration outfit in another way.
It can help to motivate us if we have a reward right in front of us. I know that I have many opportunities right in my closet.
Share your personal situation with other campers. Is there something that you can found in your closet to inspire you? Or are you able to find something new at a sale or a visit to the thrift shop.
It helps to have a reward to look forward to.

Hello to all the newcomers (I'm a newbie as well--just joined a couple weeks ago).
I've had some great NSV victories this week that have nothing to do with weight loss: I've gotten A's on all my finals exams so far! (for those that don't know, I'm a graduating senior, so I have to finish well). I have one big assignment left and one big test on Monday and I will be done with college!
I've done better on my exercising this week . . . school still is first priority right now, but I've at least been walking to all my classes. I hope to do more walking this weekend. Plus I'll be packing up and moving out of my dorm room (I'm on the 3rd floor of the dorm--no elevator), so I'll definitely be getting some exercise that way also.
Wish me luck tonight, as I'm going to a end of the semester cookout with from friends. Social eating has always been my downfall. I don't know why, but I always stuff my face (you'd think that it would be the opposite and I'd be self-conscious and eat less--but I don't!). If I go over my calories a little it's no biggie, because I was actually under them for the past few days. I just don't need to go overboard!

Oooh, good one! My inspiration outfit is one that I actually fit into now, but I will look so much better in it about 15 lbs. less. It's a blue and brown floral patterned dress that accentuates my curves, I just have that 'car tire across the middle' look going on. It also provides a personal motivation, since it is my go dress that I've been wearing to weddings. I'm going to be a bridesmaid at the end of August and hope to be in ONEderland by then. I'll have a different outfit by then, but seeing that blue dress hanging in my closet is a good reminder!

I bought a cute nightgown last August and it said 3x...so I did not try it on. Well, it is the smallest 3x ever!!! And it has been in the back of a drawer ever since.
Anyway, I just pulled it out and tried it on. Yeah...pretty tight. I am thinking that I will try it on again every time I get weighed. Maybe it will fit by this August??
It really is cute and I am excited thinking that I could actually WEAR it!!!
It is definitely something to look forward to
