Welcome, coffeeshopgirl, KaySays and determinedinmt!!! Wishing you all the best of luck with your goals!
shepherdsgirl- Awesome NSV!!!
snowtopper- I love whole-wheat pizza! I agree that it does fill you up more than regular. I made WW pizza last Friday with a homemade sauce of spinach/artichoke/alfredo sauce/greek yogurt puree then topped with onions, chicken, mozzerella cheese along with some more dollops of the sauce puree. SO good! Scones? Ooh, what kind? I love baking!
Joy- Jeez! So sorry to hear about your DD, pulled muscles are not fun at all!!! Hoping for a speedy recovery for her. It sounds like you got a full house with all the dogs, lol! I would not have weighed in either since you said TOM is here plus you got a little munchy last night. At least I hope you didn't let it ruin your morning or anything since it is not a real gain!
Munchey- Wow, I do not know how to replace a monitor at all, lol. You're so tech-savvy! I gotta agree with you about the internet part though, I have learned so much just from the internet alone. Hoping today is a better day for you activity-wise.

Not much to report today, I worked out on the elliptical again but for 60 minutes this time. Quick trip to the store to get stuff for my cheesy cauliflower/potato soup with some potato and ham chunks since it is cold and rainy today. I might do a session of 30 Day Shred later this evening after dart league. Wish me luck if I do decide to do 30DS, lol.

If you get involved with exercise you absolutely hate and deprive yourself with food that you hate, you won't likely succeed or keep weight off.
It is important to get support and be accountable. You have started that by posting here.
The walking and Zumba are great starts for exercising. Do you have any plan in mind for your food? Are you going to count calories?

Hello all~
I took a lil catnap this afternoon and feel some better. My dd has been sleep all day short of 45 minutes she woke up to eat and eat and eat (she hadnt ate since lunch yesterday). Shes only had the 1 dose of flexeril that she was given in the e.r. last nite and its apparently kicked her butt! But at least shes giving her back a good rest too.
Ive been OP all day! I even did a 3 mile walk/jog early this afternoon and will prolly do it again this evening after dinner w the 4 legged kids. Dont want lasnite to throw me off my wagon. I wanted to weigh myself for some accountability to show myself how fast damage can be done and that i have to work harder now to fix my mistakes. And yes im still waiting for TOM to arrive as well, should be within the next 24hrs give or take ugh!
Amandie- lol, and thats a peek of my mornings every day! Spoiled hubby, kids and dogs! The alarm is the start to everyones day literally! Im not a morning person and never have been so most of it im on auto pilot unless kinks happen and then damn there goes my day lol. Oh yeah and throw in having to take my dd to bustop a mile away every morning (except this a.m. obviously).
Time to get dinner going as a matter of fact so have a great nite ladies.

I'm back and doing better now. I lost all the weight I gained back and I am starting over again at 222. I'm trying to lower my carbs and run at least three times a week.. so far .. so good.

dangerous - Good job not letting one off night ruin your plans. I love how you are keeping yourself accountable.

I just got a golden retriever puppy and I am waiting for her to finish her shots so I can get her to motivate me to go out and walk on the trails.
She is so full of energy so I am thinking a couple of walks a day will the necessary. I have been really good with my food choices so far and I am not having too hard of a time staying below my calorie goal. I decided to tackle food this week (first week of being on track) and then tackle exercise next week instead of overwhelming myself. I found a website that I might join for spinning videos I just have to figure out if my internet is good enough to play the videos.... fingers crossed!

HI EVERYONE!
We have made it half way through the week! Hope everyone is doing well!
My food has been good all week, so far. I went out to dinner on Tuesday and treated my sister to a post birthday dinner - just the two of us. I don't eat out much, it gets so expensive! I guess because I don't eat out much, I tend to get "sticker shock", lol. I try and leave a descent tip, so about time you add that in, you could have purchased home meals for a week. I was good & had barbecued chicken, corn on the cob and some additional vegetables.
I made some Manhattan Clam Chowder last night - my quick and dirty version. Most of the ingredients were either from a can or the freezer. I think the only thing I chopped was potatoes. I love soup, it can be very satisfying and filling.
I haven't been doing well on the exercise front. Between the constant knee pain in my good knee and an ongoing flair of ulcerative colitis, I've been rather side lined and extremely frustrated. Yesterday, I was at the melt-down point and had a bad case of the "poor me's". Today is a new day and I'm planning to use my Reflex Boxing Station. In addition to providing some exercise, it should help me with my frustration.
Got to get out today and buy some Tylenol, Arthritis version. I've been taking some Advil, although I'm not supposed to because of my Colitis (had to try something for pain). I'm not a Tylenol fan, but looks like I have to give it another try.
Proactively, I've placed a call to my primary care doctor to see if he will order an MRI for my knee. I was into the Ortho doctor on April 8th, and the right knee had been good for a couple of days (thought I had worked through the problem). I tried getting in touch with the Ortho doctor by phone, with a question about my recent x-ray (among a couple of other questions). I can't get through the phone screeners to communicate with the doctor or nurse. Supposedly someone in the front office sent the doctor an email last Friday, which appears to have either not sent, ignored or into someone's backlog.
I made another appt. for the same Ortho doctor for April 26th (hopefully for a cortisone shot). I'm definitely looking for a new Ortho doctor and may end up cancelling the appt next Friday if I can get an appt. with someone new and hopefully go there with MRI results. There are a lot of extra details that I haven't mentioned, but if I can't communicate with my doctor or a nurse with a medical question a few days after a visit, then I'm moving on. Although this might end up being a trend with Obama Care, I don't want to have to deal with my doctor like my cell phone provider or some bureaucratic organization that you have to waste a lot of time spinning your wheels.
Naughty

DANGEROUS:
Glad you are back on track and that the scale is staying in one-der-land.
RATED:
Congrats on the puppy. Dogs can be great inspiration for walking, running, etc.
I have a very high energy German Shepherd. It can be both a blessing and a curse, lol. She loves to herd her basket ball and something else called an "egg". I can take her for a 3 mile walk in the park. She may seem exhausted during the drive home, but she promptly gets her basketball once we get home and it anxious to play. She can get very possessive about "her basketball". When she herds it into the house, disaster ensues.

So after being gone for a few weeks due to stress from my job and keeping busy with finding a new place to live, my weight jumped back up to 250.
Sunday I weighed 250lbs. Sunday I started a clean eating program thanks to my doctor's recommendation.
My goal for this Sunday was to lose 2 lbs, to be right at 248.
This morning I stepped on the scale out of curiosity, and I weigh 245.6!!!
So I think I will actually be well past my goal by Sunday!

Welcome back, Sinderelly!
Rated- Aww, golden retriever puppies. So cute! What did you name her? Dogs do make an awesome walking/running partners. on the videos being able to play! You could always try looking on youtube for some (free) videos though not sure if there are a lot on spinning and see if that works? Good idea on tackling one thing at a time. It was one of the reasons why I gave up long time ago whenever I tried to start up something because I'd try to do a complete overhaul instead of doing it one step at a time.
Joy- I've been having the cramps/pressure too but nothing in sight yet! I just wish it would show up and be done with already, haha! I've also been a bit b!tchy, oops! It is raining like heck, so much that I'm worried that one of my gutters is gonna break from all the weight of the rainwater.
Munchey- That birthday dinner sounds really good. Sorry to hear about all of your troubles! I can only take Tylenol because of my acid reflux too. Hope it helps with your pain! I would be so frustrated too with the doctors, phone screeners, etc! I hope you eventually end up getting through to get answers to your questions! I love soup! I think I may be making some today since the weather is dreary and wet.

I typed this an hour ago but got distracted due to walls seeping water from the ground in the basement, ugh! So much for working out today. Bye all, gotta get back since it's still wet and we used up all of our towels (clean AND dirty!)

All good now, lol. That was a workout in itself! Wringing towels out, mopping up, etc. Luckily, I had the BF home today to help me. I would have been panicky in a situation like that if it were just me home alone.
I sorta want a drink or two after this. Ahh, I think I will just work out instead!
it does not rain too much more tonight or like that ever again!

I'm jealous of all you chicks with doggies that also serve as exercising buddies! That's one of things I'm looking forward to getting once I'm out of school and have my own place. I'll probably get a cat first though, too bad they aren't good for exercising with!
Well, this week went off to a great start (see my stairs NSV post earlier). And then it went downhill from there. My wonderful TOM started and I did not feel like exercising, so I'll probably only get 1 or 2 days at most of walking in (my goal was 4). :P I walked to all of my classes, except 1 day when it was pouring rain and a classmate offered me a ride. So not so good on the exercise goals, but I've been sticking pretty well within my calorie goals.
I did have another small NSV this morning--I noticed that my pants are fitting looser. You know when you wear a freshly laundered pair of pants and they stretch out and are loose at the end of the day? Well, the pants I put on this morning felt like they had been stretched out, except they had just come from the dryer. It's a small NSV, but it is validating.

Gee I haven't posted in awhile. But I do read everyones post.
I've been walking every day for 20 minutes. I don't want to go gung hoo because when I do that I get discouraged and slack off. Also, been eating real good. So hopefully I'll see a little loss come Sunday.
Everyone seems to be doing good. If I missed any newcomers, Welcome!
amandie: I made cranberry scones. I got the recipe from the King Arthur Flour site. They came out excellent. That was the first time I ever made them. I thing next time I'm going to use their white wheat flour. I use that for everything. And try splenda.
Gosh munchey I sure hope they find the problem with your knee. I had terrible pain last year. Come to find out it was the orthopedic inserts causing me grief. Strange how little things can throw your body out of kilter.
Rated; I want a puppy too.

I'm doing okay. I've been avoiding a lot of carbs, and have been doing couch to 5k.. I finished day 3 today.. I actually enjoy the running... it is quite strange to me..on the parts it told me to walk.. I was all "No! I wanna keep running!" (Yes..I actually yelled that at the robot voice.. my kids thought I was nuts)
