I have been looking into zumba...do you like it? I am wondering if I am still too big to start a program like that. Also was very curious about your hula workout...I love how you change it all up, something different every day...I never thought of that but think it would work really well for me since the same routine each day has been one of my breaking points.

minoja75: for Zumba, I use Zumba 2 on the Wii. It's fun and not too jumpy -- I convert any hops or jumps to steps and it still works.
For hula, I like these DVDs: http://www.amazon.com/Island-Girl-Da...words=hula+dvd For some reason, they're always cheap on Amazon. Each one is about 35 minutes which is a nice workout, especially if you're beginning. This was a difficult month for me and there were times when I wondered whether I could complete this self-imposed challenge or even wanted to complete it. Beginning on Christmas Day when I was hit with a stomach virus that stuck around until the new year it seems like I've been struggling with one minor (but prolonged) health issue after another. A strained lower back muscle really did a number on me along with a nasty head cold that also included some equally nasty chest congestion. At any rate, I was determined to finish this challenge and NOT let it beat me. I'm so happy I did. I'm so good at keeping promises and commitments to others that it's about time I make myself the same priority! Finish strong on this last day everyone. Looking forward to a fantastic February! |
