We are going to the state fair today. My plan is to hit subway before buy a foot long. Eat half and have the other half later when my family eat crap at the fair. Wish me luck. I think this will be easier than trying to decide what crap has less calories there. One good thing is we will be walking a lot.

I had a bad bad week -sigh- I ended up eating over 1800 calories every single day last week and over 200 carbs. Needless to say I gained a pound.

Yesterday was another 1800 calories over 200 carb day -sigh- I need to stop eating dinner! Or having something light. Some soup or something.

Today I am hanging at 1039 calories and 154 Carbs. Now if i can jsut hang on until I get home and have some soup for dinner or some eggs I will be good. I curse drive thrus and the hubbies who ask me to drive thru them!

I was doing great at the fair. I brought a subway sandwich for dinner. Before we could eat my oldest fell and broke her arm. We are now in the 2nd ER tonight. We are at Children's waiting for orthopedics to tell us when she will need surgery. I am hungry but all they have at 10pm is a vending machine.

I hope everyone else is having a better day.

Day 15

Lishar, I'm so sorry about your daughter breaking her arm and you having to go to the ER. Please hang in there. Your calories over wasn't that bad. Just start over. That's what I seem to be doing a lot. Best of luck to you!

Sno, great job! We inspire each other.

Hello all,

Hope everyone is hanging in there.

Lost another pound last night & happily grabbed my tape measure. Mistake. Last time I was at this weight, several years ago, my waist was 2" smaller. GGGAAAAAH

I have a small frame. Don’t know if this is residual fat, loose skin, gravity-induced or all three but guess I found my ‘individual’ T’giving challenge !! Had already planned to bump up my exercise – but suggestions invited!

Default Day 15?

Hi all!

I am doing very well today--challenging hike with dog and exercise class. I have cravings for crunchy and salty. think I will make a cucumber, onion and tomato salad.

Mama: hmm--not sure about that whole waist measurement thing. I kinda gave up on measurements cuz I dont know how to make it accurate--finding the right places on my body that are consistently the same if that makes sense. I use my weight and how my clothing fits as a way of telling me how I am doing. Anyway, rejoice that you have been doing well and lost some weight--if you are now losing weight from your butt first rather than your waist--it all works out in the end. (ha ha)

Ksquared: I think it is amazing that you are keeping track of your calories and carbs. they say that people who keep track of their food are most successful at weight loss. it will come. keep it up.

Lishar: also concerned about your family crisis. hope to hear from you soon.

Thanks ladies. This will be quick. My daughter broke her arm right above the elbow. We were at the county fair and she was messing around jumping over some rocks. She fell and landed wrong. This was Tuesday evening. She had to wait until Wednesday night to have surgery to repair the fracture. We are now waiting until she can be discharged and go home.

My body is being very stubborn. Bouncing around between 186 - 188 and nothing lower and it's getting very discouraging!

3 weeks of Zumba. Three weeks of being absolutely drenched in sweat when I leave and NOTHING UGH. I feel like throwing in the towel and eating a whole dozen of donuts and a 6 pack of soda! (Which I won't) I am averaging 400 calories for an hour of Zumba.

I have been doing good this week. Let's see what you all think.

8/27
1847 - cals in
2401 - Cals burned
= 554 Cal Deficit

8/28
1367 - cals in
2306 - cals out
= 939 cal Deficit

8/29
1369 - cals in
2336 - cals out
= 967 cal deficit

2,460 fat calories burned this week with (1,040 left to burn)

I am hoping that my body is just being stubborn and doesn't want to let go, or it's water I am holding on too.
Measurements aren't moving, weight is not moving. The only thing moving is the sweat down my face!

Ksquared, don't give up. It's taken me forever to get back to where I was a year ago. I don't know why. I exercise and constantly count cals. I changed things up a bit yesterday, and that seemed to help. Sometimes changing things, different foods, different movements, whatever is a good thing. DON'T GIVE UP!
