Sarge's NO Excuses and NO Whining Bootcamp #1 - With 2nd Drill Sargeant

This platoon is a group who gives 110% every day to achieving their weight loss goal. This platoon was formed by Sarge JayTee in March 2011 and a long time member took on some of the duties in November as SARG. The motivation, challenges and support of the platoon have pushed many members to achieve their goal weights and start living and loving life.

--Please join if you're serious about dropping pounds and melting your "BUTT-er" (that's a salute to Private MadamGooey).

--Please join if you want daily motivation to achieve your goal. The platoon and the Sarges are always watching!

--Please join if you want the platoon to scream in your face like Jillian Michaels on Biggest Loser because that's what you're gonna get if you don't meet your goal each week!

--Please join if you understand the definition of challenge, "...a call to engage in a contest, fight, or competition," THIS IS YOUR LIFE YOU'RE FIGHTING FOR!

--Please join if you’re interested in being surrounded by success stories who will inspire you to find your own “inner Sarge” to kick your BUTT-er!

--DON'T join if you're gonna bring excuses!

--DON'T join if you're a daily scale watcher or only looking for company to share details about your daily life, pets, cra*py job, and other pity-party themes.

--DON'T join if your head isn't in it yet. We'll be here to embrace you with well-toned arms when you're ready.

--DON'T join if you're overly sensitive to comments like "step away from the buffet!"

--DON'T join if you want to discuss anything other than getting this freaking weight off! Sarge and SARG are type A personalities. Excuses and reading touchy-feely stuff makes their eyes bleed! There are many other threads on 3FC that offer loads of "soft" support and make you feel it's ok to slack on your weight loss efforts. THIS IS NOT ONE OF THOSE THREADS!

RULES:
IT'S EASY! Simply make SARG a promise each Sunday by posting a pledge to lose a certain number of pounds the following week then DO IT! New Privates encouraged to join any Sunday!

Newbie posts should look like this: Hi SARG, I'm new! I promise to lose ___ pounds next week!

ALL ARE WELCOME (including men)...any age, any amount of weight to lose. Say "Yes, Count Me In Sarge!" Do it, you know you want to, then drop and give me 20 minutes of exercise!

Last week pledged 0.4, maintained, new pledge 0.0

With my race next weekend I'll be carb heavy at the end of the week. I did enough this week to lose the 0.4 but it didnt happen. Ended up 0.4 lbs short of my mini goal but that is ok. 9 lbs loss from T-day to NYE. Not bad at all.

New goal, 144 by Valentines day.

HAPPY NEW YEAR SARG and Platoon!

If you all don't mind, Sarge JayTee will be hanging around the platoon starting Tuesday and pledges to lose 3 lbs. by next Sunday. We're not even gonna talk about how much Sarge has gained since December 1, but it's time to get rid of it and what better place to drop it than Sarge's No Excuses Boot Camp!

:drill:

Hi all,

I fell off the wagon at the end of the year, that is, fell off the wagon of checking in with the group! I will pledge to be here from now on!

@Sarg the link to the pledge form isn't working, it's only taking me to the summaries.

I am down to a new low of 168!

Today' weigh in: 168
Pledge for this week: 2

chickadee32 01-01-2012 03:31 PM

Lost: 2.7 lbs
Trekked: 19.3 miles

I have my second bad cold of the month and so exercise was a no-go the second half of the week, but I was happy to see some more of the water weight drop off despite starting meds again. Maybe this time around I won't stall with them? Here's hoping.

ClaireBear: Welcome!

ennay: A loss of 9 lbs through the holidays, and at your low weight, is a pretty stellar achievement IMO. :)

JayTee: Glad to have you here with us, though sorry it's because December was a rough month! Either way, I've missed you and it's nice to see you.

josey: Hope your trip was great! Sorry you came back sick though - I hope it didn't interfere to much with having a good time while you were away.

Jeanettey: Good luck this month; I know you can do it.

Solarplant: Congrats on the new low!!!

SARG 01-01-2012 03:32 PM

Sarge - Very happy to see you!!!!...Er, uh, I mean Welcome Sir!!! When the platoon shows up we will need all the help we can get to get us all going again.

Solarplant - Thank you! The link is fixed now. Sarg is not a desk jocky. I would rather be running.

Hi Sarge, I'm new and pledge to lose 3 lbs this week. ( Hope this only goes thru once as I was having computer problems)

josey 01-01-2012 09:42 PM

Chick - Thanks. The trip was great and luckily I only got sick after we came back.

Anybody seen Reso?

peanutt 01-01-2012 11:11 PM

I'm here and starting fresh for the new year along with many others. I ended up being up about 5 lbs after Christmas, but that's quite a bit of water weight. In a couple of days of clean eating 1.5 lbs have already dropped off.

Had way too much sugar over the holidays. Made it through today without eating any sugary snacks or candy. Gah, the sugar addiction is frustrating.

Happy new year, platoon!! Kick it into high gear and make 2012 your best year ever!!
