Italiannie, another 0.6 pounds?!? You are starting off with a bang, aren't you? Awesome!
My diet and exercise are going well, and I feel that I've gotten off any weight gained from Christmas day. I should have a loss by Monday, when I officially weigh in.
Ugh! Why did I stay online so late??? I went to bed around 2:00 a.m. and got up at 7:30 a.m. to wait for my sister (she's late) to come over to exercise. I'm upping the caffeine, but it's not working. I've got to get to bed no later than 11:00 p.m., preferably 10:30 p.m. Sleep is so important for weight loss, too.
Hello, I am new to the site, but am desperate to find some comradery in weight loss. Hope it is not too late. Trust me, have not lost any major pounds in 2 days - although that is a nice thought.
So here it is - my current weight as of this morning is 172.8.
My goal by Valentine's Day is 160.
I think I can do it. So here is goes!!!
I was just wondering how often do you all weigh yourselves? The scale freaks me out so I try not to do it too often. I get easily discouraged if I don't lose the amount I was hoping for...but I guess any kind of loss is good.

Ange, I'm the same way. I usually only weigh in once a week, on Mondays. But even that gives me anxiety attacks sometimes. Although, when I get close to being into the next lowest 10s (i.e. 190s or 180s), I weigh in daily to see if I'm there. Not a good thing to do, I know, but I do try not to get too bummed out of the numbers don't change each day. At my age, I don't lose as quickly as I did 15-20 years ago.

I was also thinking about the frequency of weigh-ins. Although I get on the scale every morning, I'm a little anxious about reporting daily, because my weight loss usually goes two steps forward and one step back. Having said that, I'll focus on the weekly and monthly trend. I do believe the daily accountability keeps me on track during my evening grazing period. I don't have several days to undue damage.
I can't wait to get a ticker to post to my signature. It's 21 days before you can customize your signature. So, sometime next week, I think.
Losing!! But still not past my dreaded plateau.
As for weigh-ins, I am a daily person because of this stupid plateau thing and I find that it keeps me motivated and "in-line". That said, here are my stats:
Started: 173.0
Current: 171.8 (-1.2)
Goal for 2/14: 160
Good start to the challenge! I am hoping the momentum will keep it!

My regular ticker has a goal of 140, I wonder if that’s achievable by 2/14? Or will it be pushing it? My ultimate goal is 120, but I was afraid to put that on the ticker. Since I’ve never been that weight, that I can remember… But for my height, 120 is smack middle of healthy range on any BMI chart. Anyways, I’d like to lose as much as I can by middle of March, my big visit to see my Mother. For once in my life I’d like her to be speechless about my weight.
