New to 3FC, but ready for a challenge!

I started my life style change (I'm not going to call it a diet) on 1-9-11 and one of my mini goals is to be down 10 lbs. by 2-13-11. Which amounts to 2 lbs per week. I know that may be a lot, but I know I have to have good results the first few weeks to stay motivated. I purchased a Body Bugg & so far am loving it & it's working pretty well.

Starting weight 190.8
Current weight 189 (as of 1-16)
Percent of goal 18%

We can do this!

Yay!! After gaining three pounds last weekend, I was so pleased to see I ended the week with a one pound loss! I lost those three plus an additional. I've been reading so much about how it's ok to shake it up a little bit and you'll see a weight loss. Granted, I shouldn't shake it up with all that junk food, but regardless, I'm pleased with this week's results.

We have just over three weeks left in the challenge. It'll be a close call if I finish at my goal or not. Keep up the good work!

Hee, hee...I snuck in here before exercise because I miss you all too much and feel like I'm missing out on all the fun.

Welcome to the challenge, kandd416 and krmen801! With just over 3 1/2 weeks left, there's still plenty of time to make your goals. Good luck!

Bethann, so sorry to hear about your daughter's injury and hope she heals quickly.

It seems that everyone is doing so well, even with a little water weight on TOM (that'll come off in a few days). I'm proud of us all!

I'm still too nervous about weighing in, even though I feel like I'm back down. I really like this calorie counting. The test will be this weekend, which is always hardest it seems. But I want to weigh in on Monday, so I'll have to keep that in mind when I'm tempted to eat above my calorie allotment for the day.

Okay, I'd better get my behind in front of the tv and do my workout. But it was totally worth it to play hookie from my exercise to pop in here for a bit.

sorry i've been MIA for the past week or so. Just got over a really bad break up with Adam...its been really hard to stay motivated.

I'm down to 218 from 218.2

at least i didnt gain anything from the breakup.


Heading to the gym after work. hopefully getting back on the exercise bandwagon today. I have 19 lbs to lose before my birthday/valentines day...i really dont see that happening anymore.

Annie -- glad you're ok. Car accidents are just nerve-wracking, aren't they?

Clairebear -- I'm so sorry you broke up with your BF. This too shall pass but for now I know it is just as sucky as sucky can be.

I"ve been totally OP and the scale may be my friend tomorrow. The past two days it was down 2 lbs (even w/TOM which is just weirddd) so I don't trust it. If it sticks there will be 3 weeks left for me to reach my 159 or lower goal. But even more exciting than that? The Walking Dead finally returns!


ETA, Sat. 1/21: It stuck! Down another 2lbs since last Sat. Whoot, whoot!

Kand- I am wanting a bodybugg, but have to wait till I can get the money. My bf won't buy anything I want related to workout, but we can't really afford it since he is only one working

Bethann- I am sorry to hear about your daughter injury.. Hope and will keep her in my prayers for a quick recovery and that she will be back to playing next year.


Not much time for personals sorry. I do have to say that I eat late at nite.. I get bored or a certain emotion and I will eat mindlessly..


I hate that it seems lately all I do is complain and never have any good news. Well I did make 98 on week one assignment and 100 on my pre-writing.. Hoping to make 100 on all 10 chapter test I have due by feb 10(stress arg!!) Well I have been feeling not right lately... I have been trying to go into a depressive mode and every-time I am like no I will not let it come on cause I am stronger than that...

Well I have been down and out to long, time to get back in the swing of things.... Time to find that willpower and keep it..

I want to wait till I loose 35pounds to cut my hair, but don't know how long I can wait lol....

I know I can loose this weight and I know I can find the willpower to stay on plan because I have before(gained all 60lbs back ) When I loose 60lbs I plan on getting a tatt that say country strong and a Chinese symbol that means strength.. I have to tell myself no and mean it... Sorry for the long reply, but I have to get it out...
I have so many fears and so much hurt and I have realized that is what holding me back just have to learn how to deal with it...
I will admit that I am an emotional eater and I am addicted to food... As writing this it is hard but I have to tell someone who might understand how I am feeling.



Remember lady's that it may not be easy, but it is worth it...

Well, today I had quite the spinning experience ... it was like hot yoga, but spinning (small studio with steamy mirrors)! I took a free class near my apt building.

I'm glad I tried it out, but that studio is SO small. Not good for the claustrophobe in me.

Good news/Bad news = I didn't gain; I didn't lose.

Again, thankful not to have experienced what usually occurred (most of my adult life) after winter holidays and pack on another 10 pounds. So I'll take keeping the status quo.

ShanHat - Congratulations! I am eager to get into the 150's too

CountryBarbie - Is it possible to get to sleep a little earlier? That's what I have to do when the night-time snacking bug hits.

Claire - Sorry to read about the break-up. Good for you in staying on plan. Be gentle with yourself.

Hope everyone is doing well and moving. My new incentive = Hooping! Got me a spiffy hula hoop and can just about keep it going for all of 2 minutes. Sometimes, giving it a quick twirl is just good for laughs

Lost one pound. Not horrible, but was hoping for two. Down with another migraine so no exercise to day. Yuck. And grad school classes start again tomorrow, so I'm laying in bed trying to get ahead on some of the work. Looks like it's going to be a tough semester. I'm carrying a 4.0 after having taken 5 classes, but one of the two this semester looks like it will be quite difficult. Our first assignment is a discussion, intros online and a paper. Don't usually get into papers for at least a week or two!
