JillNicole - You are such a sweetheart! Big ol' hugs to you too! How are you doing? Goal-wise and otherwise? Is the soreness from the swim feeling better?
|
We are FUNTASTIC (my daughter's fav word since kindergarten) hotties :)
Floriduh: Thank you for sharing your story. It was brave of you and I am glad that you aren't using that as an excuse NOT to lose. It takes a lot of stregnth to do that. ItsMyTurn: Great job on the weight loss...I hope you feel better though! I didn't eat incredibly well yesterday and was too tired to exercise. Today, I ate high protein to almost no carb ratio, which I want to do for at least 3 days. I have to work on my sodium intake--it's been knd of high lately. Tonight, I have to make up for not exercising yesterday and will be doing 200 reps of each exercise, aurgh. That'll teach me for being lazy! |
Happy Hump Day!
ItsMyTurn--Tankinis are a great idea! Jillnichole--Hugs back at you! Sheramama--Thank you! I'm looking forward to losing this weight as much as the rest of y'all. So very happy that I found 3fc. Had two great workouts in the pool today, and healthy eats. Another good Wednesday! |
sheramama - I am feeling better, thank you so very much for asking. I have yet to get my caloric intake back up to par, but a whole lot better than it's been since Sunday...so I am cruising along again :) I will be back on hitting elliptical tomorrow night and totally back on my plan - fitness and nutrition :) Thank you for the compliment on my loss... I can't believe it helped me reach the 30Lb mark! :carrot:
Floriduh - I thought it might be a good idea... it has worked for me. That way if one part of your body shrinks quicker than the other, you can just buy the piece that works...and... you can get multiple pieces that all go together... so 4 pieces can make 4+ different "suits"!!!! :) |
woo-hoo :carrot: CONGRATZ!!!!
you guys are such an inspiration to me :) my exercise plan is going really well, I'm really sticking to the 4x/W workout plan and I must say I'm loving it - it gives me great confidence as well as an overall feel-good vibe :D rorkout rox ;) how's everyone else? :) |
Weighing in a day early--another pound bites the dust!
aleksandra--fantastic news that your exercise plan is energizing you! ItsMyTurn--Hope you are feeling much better today! Best wishes to all for a great day! |
aleksandra - I am so glad the workout is energizing you!!! I like to use mine to shovel out all the emotion of the day in one fail swoop :) That way I always feel better after too! :) You are doing great with keeping on it!!!!
Floriduh - I would dare say I am 100% today and back to my old self :) Thank you so much! I even surprised myself and hit the gym last night... ended up hitting an all time high for reps doing inclined abdominals!!!! Yay! |
ItsMyTurn.. Thanks :D the soreness is good now.. Walked last night for the first time this week.. Definitely been a little lazy :( Grr. The only soreness I have now is my bum! Lol I fell Saturday night when my hands were full & we were getting the car loaded, since my hands were full I couldn't fall on my hands, so one poor buttcheek took it all lol.*
SheraMama.. I love Funtastic!! *Oh I so will steal that in her honor ;) I've been lazy this week too. Hopefully next week we kick it out of the ballpark :)* So last Friday I was 198.5 and Tuesday I weighed at 197.5 but then Wednesday 199 grr lol hopefully that was wrong. So hoping to pull in a loss tomorrow!! :)* Floriduh.. Do you have your own pool, or at a gym or something? Id love to go swimming at the lake more but don't have anyone to go with.. Still trying to find done people :) I hate the way chlorine makes my hair and skin feel so I've never been a pool lover unfortunately.* Aleksandra.. Great job! :cheer2: I've been lazy this week but still stuck to my eating plan :) I did finally walk yesterday, and I WILL go tonight too :kickbutt: Already Thursday! *Tomorrow is weigh in! :D* :dust: |

Yes, I have a pool here in Florida with a very long swim season. As for the chlorine, I have been using a swim cap lately to protect the hair, and I have all sorts of lotions and potions to use immediately after the swim. I even found some retro swim caps with the bright floppy flowers like my mother wore 40 years ago. Would never wear them in public, but I giggle when I put them on at home. The swim cap also helps to keep my MP3 earbuds in place. Have goggles too. It's a bit scary swimming in ponds and lakes around here. Besides the alligators, you may have heard this week about deadly amoeba going up the nose and taking up residence in the brain. Too many sharks to swim in the Gulf of Mexico. I'll stick with chlorine. ItsMyTurn--Hooray for feeling better, and :cp: for the new all time high reps!!! That is awesome! Sounds like your body needed a couple of days of R&R. You are rockin'!!! :broc: |
JillNicole - Your poor bum! (I never thought that would be a statement I would make, lol) Good job getting out there walking! It's one thing to have a lazy time, it's a whole other to not try to get back in the swing of things and that is what you are doing... I am sooooo happy for you! Great job sticking to your eating plan too!!!!

Vodka was only my friend for the night... after that, it was all downhill, LOL! We also have a pool in our backyard - my BIL's is salt filter, but ours is chlorine. I don't seem to have an issue when I use spray detangler directly after getting out, and then I shower to clean up after a swim. I was accustomed to natural water sources for swimming in Maine, but down here it's more difficult to find sources of that sort...being a desert and all :)
aleksandra - You aren't kidding! I am ADHD (and medicated), but when not on meds and not doing intensive exercise, DH says I can get... errrr... a bit aggressive with my reactions *insert innocent look here*. However he has noticed a big difference, even with my meds, since I began to do the heavier workouts :) This actually is more evidence to your point of it being even more beneficial! :carrot: I tend to be a 110% or nothing type of person too... so when I do something, I fully immerse myself... fortunately there has been no downside at all to doing that with my fitness program. All of my stuff is at home except bicycling, but I can take one or more of the family members with me for that so they miss none of the valuable moments we get together! :D Totally have to pull a Charlie Sheen here.... WINNING!!! LOL! |
Floriduh.. Lol yes you must stuck with the chlorine!!
The bum is still sore. I think my bone pierced something in there lol so there's no bruise but I'm sure a big inner bruise. I just lean towards the other cheek ;) |
ItsMyTurn--Ah Ha! The devil is in the details ...vodka, eh? Sadly, I haven't had a drink since diagnosed with diabetes June 1. I vividly recall my last glass of lovely wine...sitting at the waterfront restaurant, watching the sunset over the bay...oh, how I miss it some days! I reconcile by realizing I can afford to skip the calories, and I haven't a clue what it would do to my blood sugar at this point. Otherwise, I have a rather large wine refrigerator with many lonely bottles waiting for me to visit them one of these days.
As for swimming--I chose it as my fitness method because it gives the biggest calorie burn per minute, it's the only thing I can tolerate in the miserably hot & humid Florida weather, and I started the weight loss journey with nasty aching joints. The joint pains are gone! Hoping I'll be able to finally fit my fat arse onto a bicycle again for the three months when it's too cold to swim here. Can't do indoor pools. Not a runner. Love to swim. That's the plan. :) |
