sheramama - I am glad your eating has been well, but so sorry you aren't feeling good. Headaches and crappy feeling is the worst! I sure hope the supplements put some nutrients into you that will help with all of this and make you feel new inside!
JillNicole - I am glad someone saw and cared enough to share, that's the glory of a smaller town. I sure hope that boy gets whatever help he needs to turn himself around, or life is going to be way harder than it needs to be on him. I am also very happy to hear that your bf is so buff :) That helps as good as having a Pitbull guarding your door sometimes, Did you have renters insurance? Would that be a covered claim? Or just not worth the bother? jeniansmom - Look at you go!!!! :carrot: 4 Lbs is huge! Way to go! Then to have the sugar levels going lower too, shows you that you are getting healthier! That's the biggest, best progress to see!!!! I am so proud of you! aleksandra - We sure need to get that motivation from where ever we are able to...this community has been great for me so far too... all of y'all rock!!!! aleksandra, you are seeing yourself accomplish goals! Look at that!!! Your exercising is boosting upwards and that is a huge component to just feeling better in general! :) I am thanking the good Lord that it's Friday! LOL! After I get out of work tonight, I will officially start my 3 day weekend! I have planned my "down day" for exercise on Sunday because we are having friends over that we haven't seen in eons for a BBQ! The friend has since had a baby with his gf and taken on a "family" of sorts... so we are so excited to see him, been too long. Since it is at our house, I will be able to make the steaks/burgers for the guys/kids...and slap some salmon on for me! Also, apparently I am contagious, since both my girls have also decided they would prefer the salmon as well! :D So I will hit the strength training tonight, biking and elliptical tomorrow with a bit of pool too...that way I can enjoy the visit Sunday afternoon :) |
Journey to my goal
I am new and just wanted to see if I am able to post.
:)I started my journey again this week. I have 61 pounds to lose. I have tried and tried so many diets with no results. I am 50 years old and I know that I need to lose this extra weight. So I am taking it one day at a time and one pound at a time.:carrot: I am hoping to get support and give support where it is needed. |
Mini Moons - It's good to have you on :) Welcome!
|
T G I F !!!
Mini Moons-- Great to have you sharing the journey. This group is the best!
ItsMyTurn-- Hope you have perfect weather and a grand time with your friends! Fantastic news that your daughters are taking their healthy eating cues from you for the BBQ. What a super healthy way to dissipate stress via biking and a trip to the gym this week. Jen-- Wowser for the great big weight loss this week!!! You go, girl! :cp: jillnicole-- Very glad to hear you learned the identity of the punk who stole your property. Down 2.2 lbs for the week, with very good blood sugars and a nice visit with out-of-town family. A great week! |
Floriduh - Congrats on the poundage loss!!! :cheer: So happy to hear the sugar levels are good too! Win-win!!!! As for a trip to the gym, the gym is upstairs in my house :) We have everything needed for a complete body workout in strength training. This is how we had to do it in order for it to be a possibility for me with the long hours I work and the high needs of 2 of my kids :) Even better, my youngest now comes up and counts my reps for me and is now starting to show an interest in strength training as well!

Jeniansmom.. I liked it, but not as much as the first 2. It was hard for me to believe the love story portion because of the character switch even though I did like the new actress :) Great weigh in!! :goodscale
Aleksandra... ItsMyTurn.. I don't have renters insurance, and I'm not sure if it would be covered but even though I'm bummed that that's 200$ of my money wasted I'm not letting it get to me. I'll find something else to use :) Mini Moons... :welcome2: Definitely jump right in :) Post as often as you'd like, and we'll always be here for support!! Floriduh... Great weigh in!! AS FOR ME... My weigh in today is 198.5, 0.5 of a lb lost. Hoping for more next week :) At my moms house for the weekend, harder to count calories but eating as healthy as I can :) Have a WONDERFUL weekend ladies!! |
Hey Ladies! TGIF!
Hope everyone had a great week and an even better weekend. I didnt weigh in yet this week but I did take my measurements and I lost an inch off my waist and one off my bust! WOOOOT! I guess Ill weigh myself tomorrow. Im crazy sore from the c25k. Hope yous have a great OP weekend! |
Sorry guys, I missed the weigh in...I woke up late and had to rush out of the house as soon as my mom came to watch the kids. I completely forgot. I actually forgot to put on deoderant too, but luckily I keep one in the car for those crazy times. I'll check in tomorrow. But, I believe my migraine cycle is at the end at least for now and hopefully won't be back for another few months (if I'm lucky, which I better be).
This entire weekend is dedicated to back to school shopping with the kids, primarily my lil fashionista. I just went through her closet today and I swear I got rid of almost 20 pairs of shoes from the last 2 yrs (her foot didn't gow much then). Wow lol. My son is so much easier! JillNicole: I'm glad it was just a local boy and no more damage was done and I love the Rambo comment :) LaurenMarie: 1 inch off is HUGE! That's a whole size :) Great job! ItsMyTurn: Have fun with the BBQ! Floriduh and Jeniansmom: Whoo hoo on the weight loss |
Weigh-in report: -2.2 lbs :cheer2:
|
I weighed in:
Last Week: 244 This Week: 239 (-5) I hit #2 of my personal goal (20lbs!!!) and wore a pair of jeans on Thur that I hadn't in over 2 yrs (bc I had no clean pants for work lol). They fit! I'd want to lose about 5lb more to get them to fit exactly how I would like, but I didn't have to suck it in at all :) Have an amazing weekend everyone! |
sheramama-- WOW!! What a week for reaching goals! 20 lbs is awesome! :bravo:
aleksandra-- Hooray for your weight loss this week! :bravo: LaurenMarie--Congrats for the inch lost! :bravo: |
Great job on the weight loss!!!!! Everyone is doing so well!!!! It has to be the support system and determined nature of those in this forum :) LOVE IT!!!!
|
--- Hey everyone!!! Still at my moms house, will be leaving today to drive home. So I'll talk to you all more probably tomorrow... just wanted to quickly check in! Hope you all had a super fabulous weekend!! My eating wasn't that great but never stopped trying, so not mad at myself.
:dust: for all! |
I did shopping extravaganza day #2 with my daughter. I swear that girl cleaned me out! We went out to lunch at Panera and I used today as a little experiment: a planned day off. I ate soup and 1/2 sandwich; we shared a cookie. Then I ate 2.5 pieces of pizza for dinner (blotted until there was almost nothing left) with 1/2 a bottle of beer. I also had less then a serving of sunchips and a string cheese earlier. I drank 10/glasses of water, did all my 100 rep exercises, and 10 songs on wii just dance for some little cardio.
Tomorrow, I plan to do high protein with fruit and veggies ( not hitting my calories) and for the best of the week, doing back OP. I am wondering if going from bad straight to "good" will make a difference. Eating bad made me not want any snacks, thus getting rid of the urge to snack or binge. We will see. I hope everyone did well this weekend. Let's have a rockin' week :) |
the thing that I've figured out about healthy food during my weightloss journey is that bad food is only tempting because of our minds and in the end I felt really bad when I ate some. Not bad as in bad consciousness but as in aching stomach, bad digestion and overall feeling heavy. So the day after my cheat day I craved for my muesli and whole grain pasta because I've learned that healthy food actually made me feel better. So, in my opinion bad food is tempting only because it's forbidden in a way and cheat days are great for learning that you won't benefit in any way from them because on the on-track day that follows you usually feel much better and then you WANT to stay OP because this is what makes you feel great. Not to mention when our weightloss starts to show and you start looking better ...
but that's just my story and what happened to me :) (don't think I don't have cheat days, I get tempted a lot! :D ) |
