  • Don't let your fear of not being able to zip up your favorite Christmas dress take hold of you this holiday season! Let's get a head start and melt off a few pounds so that we may enjoy a cup of eggnog and a couple of Christmas goodies (if we choose to). Don't give into that it's-the-holidays mentality by scarfing everything in sight until the clock stikes midnight on December 31st. No bowl full of jelly belly for us!

Come join our Christmas challenge and make a pledge to lose a certain amount of weight by then. Let's support one another in reaching this goal by being held accountable and posting on this thread daily or most days of the week. It's a lot of fun to do a challenge and to see your friends attaining their goals as well.

It will officially start the day after Thanksgiving, Nov. 25th. But sign up now to get a spot...they're going quick! Then come back to your original first post and put down your starting weight and then your Christmas goal weight. Otherwise, you may forget what you pledged. Everyone is welcome...no matter when you decide to join.

So get ready to strut your stuff and wow everyone at the holiday Christmas parties this year! Let's make it happen together.

    Start weight: 194.5
    Goal weight: 185

  • You know I'm in , Sandy. You've encouraged me so much the past month and I'm so grateful for it. For the Thanksgiving challenge I aimed for 12 (probably won't make it but hoping to come close) so for the Christmas challenge I'm going to aim for another 10!

    SW: 211.5
    GW: 201.5
  • I'm in! I'm starting my plan tomorrow!
  • Marking MY spot .. I'm in!
  • Ill join you! I haven't weighed in for the past few weeks so I will weigh in on Friday and then I'll decide what my goal will be. Thjanks for starting this challenge.

Just 3 pounds. I don't want to stress to much about it during the holidays. Not to much, not to little.
  • I'm glad to see so many have joined already! Welcome, welcome!!!

Lambie, you've done so well already in the Thanksgiving Challenge. I'm really proud of you. Oh, and I love your "TBD" that you put next to your weight and goal. Had to steal that idea...lol!
  • Count me in!

I may not be able to get here the day after Thamksgiving (I will be visiting family), but I'll chack in as soon as I can. This is a dangerous time of year for me and I want to navigate through safely!
  • Welcome Tabby! Yes, it is a dangerous time of year for me as well. But won't it be nice to be in the minority that actually lose weight during the holidays?
  • Happy Thanksgiving everyone! So tomorrow starts our challenge. Is everyone ready? Get in you last meal today for Thanksgiving, cause we're going to work our fannies off for this challenge.

My weight today (I don't dare weigh in tomorrow) is 194.5 (a 4.5-pound loss from the Thanksgiving challenge). I'm making my Christmas goal weight 185.

    How about all of you?
  • My goal is to lose 8 pounds and get down to 154 for christmas day!

I seem to lose weight pretty quickly (2-3 pounds a week) when I am trying... problem is I can have whole weeks where I go off diet then another week to get back down to the weight I was before! I'm hoping in the next month to stick to dieting... then I may be able to make it. And now I have this thread to account for too
  • I'm in. I want to get down to 135. I don't typically set such short term weight loss goals but I hope this challenge will keep me on track.
  • I'll definitely hop on that challenge!

I think I'm going to make it an ambitious goal. But why not?

    SW: 185 ish
    GW: 175

I have a really pretty black velvet dress that I would love to be able to fit into again and look good. 175 should do the trick I think.

10 lbs by Christmas. Doable? Um. Yes.
  • Oh Yeah!
I'm in! This "challenge" feels like a fabulous gift

Holidays have been much more enjoyable withOUT the sugar overload, and I need reminders. I'll weigh in tomorrow (11/25), see where the damage has landed and promise not to cry.

Thanks for suggesting this Sandy! Your invite post (and blog) is brimming with encouragement and makes me smile. This may even be fun!

    Goal 5 Pounds
  • I'm happy to see more people joining this challenge. The more the merrier!

I ate way more than I had planned to eat today, but I told everyone in my family that tomorrow I'm back on plan. No more pumpkin pie, creamed corn or stuffing. I can lose what I gained (and I know most of it is just water weight) in a couple days, but if I eat like this for 2 days in a row, it'll take me almost a week to undo the damage. No way Jose!

All my best to all in reaching your Christmas goal weights. We are going to rock this challenge!!!
