Welcome Lady and Vickie!

c laura - what's the weather like in TN? You tracking miles inside or out?

I worked out today although historically I used to skip Mondays. Frees up my night off for a more hectic day. Night all!

 to you to Madam!

This morning in southern NYS, summer seems so far away. Wet, snowy, SLUSHY mess! I'm glad I don't workout outdoors this time of year!

So I found a local rock-climbing place - and that's my reward for completing this challenge! I'm going to take my husband and friend for a climb! It's something I've never really done because I haven't had the courage to; I never felt strong enough. But I think I can build the strength I need, not just physically, but mentally too :)

I'm excited! I'm ready to be more adventurous with physical activities. In the last three years, I've traveled for the first time, crossed the United States by myself in a car, lived w/o my husband and kids for 3 months (sooooo hard!) and taken on a very challenging grad school program (almost done :) I'm ready to be in my best shape ever, and enjoy all those benefits!

Everyone have a wonderful day!

Another two miles down...it was kind of disheartening to realize how out of shape I am today on day three. As I got ready for work this morning I thought my legs were going to rebel against me. Thanks to my exercise buddy in RL I worked out again tonight and I'm so glad...I'm tired but in that great I've exercised and feel accomplished kind of way.

decapulet--normally Nashville winters are pretty mild (mid 40s) but this years it's been cold and wet...not great for outdoors so I've been keeping track inside. Your rock climbing place seems cool. I've decided that in the summer I'm going to recruit some friends to go white water rafting with me... adventurous activities are one thing I look forward to doing, since I've always thought I wasn't in good enough shape to try them....

Good morning ladies....Just returned home from the gym and had an absolutely brutal shoulder workout along with a nice cardio session. I weighed in at 141.0lbs this morning so that means I'm only 1 tiny little pound away from my original goal.

I hope all is going well for everyone in this challenge. Have a wonderful and OP day!

Hi ladies! How's everyone's week so far?

I'm thinking about trying Zumba dvd's - I saw a clip last night, and it's got me intrigued. I think I might need something new and fun. JM is great for butt kicking, but it gets a little routine after a while.

Any ideas on how to stay fresh?

Have been an elliptical queen the last few days and loving it! Finally feeling like my life is getting back on track.

Hopeful - OH HOW EXCITING . . . are you chomping at the bit . . . you should be so proud of yourself!!

dcap - ZUMBA IS FUN!! I too let Jillian kick my butt almost every day, 30 DS today then Zumba for fun . . . and when I'm done zumba-ing (is that a word??) I'm am sweating buckets . . . and the time flies while you're doing it . . . I want to go rock climbing too . . . but not until it warms up, high today is suppose to be 5, with wind chills in the minus 20's . . . BRRRRRRR

OK everyone, I'm going to chop my veggies for soup and get it going.
Memorial Day is coming . . . lets get moving . . . :carrot: :broc: :carrot:

Have a GREAT DAY!!

Hi everyone, I hope you are all having a good week so far.

I got in another three miles last night and I'm aiming for 3 more tonight. I'm excited because I discovered that wrapping my ankle before I exercise lets me work harder and longer without pain after so I'm feeling REALLY good about that.

a happy dance to everyone! :carrot:

HI Everyone!
Today is going great! Started by day off with Turbo Jam and ate what I brought for breakfast. I say that because there was bagels and donuts at the office and I was able to stay away.
MadamButterfly- Just noticed the butter stats. Great anology. That's a lot of butter.
Hope everyone is having a great day.

dcapulet 01-20-2011 07:15 PM

Madam - what kind of soup? I could use some good ideas. I'm currently in a soup making mood!

c laura - glad you found a may to make things work!

Lee- good for you - those office treats can be killer! My office got a new boss, so there were gooey cakes, bagels, cookies.... But I too said no! Nice job :)

I've eaten on plan today, now going 13 days strong, probably my LONGEST ever. I really do like low carb, and I'm learning to be more creative with my food. And the best part is, my family is really embracing it too. Tonight we had chicken and shrimp stir fry with TONS of veggies, and they had small portions of brown rice. My son has dropped eight lbs since I've started (and should not be losing any more - which is great cause he's happy about it) and my daughter has a slightly smaller tummy (we were not pushing her to lose weight, she's only 6. But as I have been eating better, she naturally is getting leaner). My husband is not losing, but he's also not trying and happy with that. (other issues at play here)

So ANYWAY - i'm getting the silent support i need here at home too :)
