Welcome to all you who've joined this thread. I see lots of new faces! Let me encourage you to subscribe to the thread and report back regularly and let us know how you're doing. Also, I wanted to mention to those who are new: I don't put exercise goals in this thread's goal list. You're welcome to also join the sister thread to this one which is the November Exercise thread where you can post exercise related goals. We discuss both topics on both threads, but it keeps the goals lists a little more manageable this way. We're thrilled to have you on either or both threads as we make the changes we need to get healthy! I know Ocotber was a disaster for me (gained almost 5 lbs), but what's passed is past. Today is what counts. I'm personally giving myself a 7 day OP challenge. During the next 7 days we will have company over twice, but I am determined to stay OP for one full week and start this month out right! Anyone want to join me? LE - I had also considered joining the "no soda" group, but I've been so off plan, I want to sort of get my bearrings before I commit to giving up my one guilty pleasure...diet pop. Maybe next month. ;) susiemartin - I like your idea of daily posting your weight. I think I will also post my weight everyday that I check-in. That way I can stay more accountable for it. I won't make it a goal, but it'll be a good habit to get into. |
Hi there, I'm a little late, but please may I join? I want to lose 10lbs this month (starting weight 193) and also I want to drink LOTS more water. 2L / day.

I'd like to join! I gained 5lbs in October too. :( My goals are to eat more vegetables and less sugar, and get back to ticker weight of 137.

I'm finally back on track after a completely atrocious September, and an October spent mostly just trying to get back on track.My long-term goal now is to be OP for an entire year. I'm NOT going to mess up again. If I lose just three pounds a month for the next year I can make my goal weight and then some. I have to go back to what I was doing when I first started losing, and lost consistently. Slow, steady, and simple.
So my goal for November is just to get back to 175lbs before I visit my brother for Thanksgiving (so before the 21st). And to have at least maintained that when I get back. |

My goal for November is to reach 145. Should be doable, but we're getting into the fat season...
I had hoped to step on the scales today and see 150 or below, but instead I saw 152. Grrr. So my goal is to lose 7 pounds. It's my birthday week (the 7th), and at my age you get at least the week before and the week after to celebrate, so this does not bode well for the old diet...There is rumcake and homemade ice cream sandwich in my future. I am planning to make all the celebrations dance parties, so hopefully I'll be able to at least burn off the alcohol calories! Wish me luck, chicklets. Go vote! |
