1 Book per Pound CHALLENGE!
I wish I could take credit for this idea, but it's not mine at all. I noticed two other people on 3FC doing this very same thing, and I thought it to be a very brilliant idea, and a great way to make the time go by.
The idea is simple: You read a book for every pound you're looking to lose. So if you're trying to lose 10lbs, you'd have to read 10 books. It sounds like oodles of fun, and I want to give it a shot. Anyone can jump in and keep their own tallies if they want! --------------------- Starting weight: 147lbs Goal weight: 99lbs GREEN means book was completed! BLUE means in process of being read! -1lbs (146): How to Start a Conversation and Make Friends - Don Gabor -2lbs (145): Robin Hood - J. Walker McSpadden [unabridged] -3lbs (144): How to Make People Like You in 90 Seconds - Nicholas Boothman -4lbs (143): The Pocket Dalai Lama - Mary Craig -5lbs (142): Zen Mind, Beginner's Mind - Shunryu Suzuki -6lbs (141): Who is the Buddha? - Sangharak****a -7lbs (140): The Cartoon History of the United States - Larry Gonick -8lbs (139): The 6 Most Important Decisions You'll Ever Make - Sean Covey -9lbs (138): 30/30 Thirty American Stories from the Last Thirty Years - Shreve, Nguyen -10lbs (137): -11lbs (136): -12lbs (135): -13lbs (134): -14lbs (133): -15lbs (132): -16lbs (131): -17lbs (130): -18lbs (129): -19lbs (128): -20lbs (127): -21lbs (126): -22lbs (125): -23lbs (124): -24lbs (123): -25lbs (122): -26lbs (121): -27lbs (120): -28lbs (119): -29lbs (118): -30lbs (117): -31lbs (116): -32lbs (115): -33lbs (114): -34lbs (113): -35lbs (112): -36lbs (111): -37lbs (110): -38lbs (109): -39lbs (108): -40lbs (107): -41lbs (106): -42lbs (105): -43lbs (104): -44lbs (103): -45lbs (102): -46lbs (101): -47lbs (100): -48lbs (99): |
This sounds like a fun challenge but a book per pound may be too much for me with my schedule right now. However I will give it a whirl since I am backed up on my reading. If you don't mind I will do a book every 3 lbs.
I will try to start this week. I am only going to list one book and then pick as I go. I have started the first book twice and never finished. I don't like taking the book anywhere as I would hate for it to get beat up. I bought it from the Jane Austen House museum in England two years ago. I will just start where I left off as I remember what happened last having read the first part twice. -3 lbs (161): Northanger Abbey - Jane Austen -6 lbs (158): -9 lbs (155): -12 lbs (152): -15 lbs (149): |
*drools* I love books about as much as I love baking lol....
