Default April Weight Loss Challenge

Happy Spring!!

I'm thrilled to be enjoying outdoor exercise and activities again! As we head into swimsuit season, I know we're all motivated to make some healthy changes. So, let's do it together! I hope to see people returning from earlier monthly Weight Loss Challenges and any newcomers. All are welcome!

Here's how it works: Just state your weight-related or health goal, whether it be a loss in pounds, inches, size, or even an intangible feeling! You need not state your weight if you feel uncomfortable. Though the thread is titled "weight loss" please bear in mind that the overall goal is toward a healthier us and so your goal may not revolve around weight loss, it may be maintenance, eating healthier, and/or kicking a soda habit...whatever the case may be. Fitness and Exercise goals can be listed in our sister thread: April Exercise Challenge.

Note: We try to keep a members list with our goals and when goals are met, we highlight it in bold, red print! We love to celebrate with you! However, please don't feel bad if/when you may not reach a specific number, goal, etc. Always remember that making positive changes along the way (the journey) are wonderful accomplishments in and of themselves.

Monthly weight loss challenge FAQ's:

Do we weigh-in on a certain day and how frequently?
No, we don't have a specific WI day. When and how often we weigh-in is a personal matter and specific to each of our own indivual needs.

Do we need to post personals?
Absolutely not. Some do and some don't . If you don't have time for personals it's okay.....post anyway.

Is everyone on a specific plan?
We are all on various plans. Some do WW, South Beach, our own plans, etc., though we do believe in and follow the guideline of not going below 1,200 cals a day.

What day do we count our loss, the last day of the month or the first of the following month?
Either way.

You can join at any point in the month, so let the challenge begin!

I remembered to list my goals right away this time! Yay! That should count as a goal met right there!!! LOL

1. Weigh under 135 (AGAIN!)
2. Continue to track food
3. Take multivitamin (at least 75% of the days)

These goals are all familiar from either last month or months prior, but what can I say?! I'm a work in progress!

Goal: ONEDERLAND.

I'll post my SW at the first of the month. It's fluctuating right now and given how irrationally pissed off I've been feeling and the cravings, I think TOM is going to be coming in a week or two.

My goal is to lose 10 pounds. I have lost 19 so far. I am hoping to add 10 more to that. It may be tricky since my birthday is this month and I lovvvee to decorate my cakes. But, I have yet to do anything I am too ashamed of But my ultimate goal is 10 pounds 4-5 workouts a week

My first time doing a challenge on here but I'm determined!

Goals:
  • Get under 210lbs
  • Eat AT LEAST 5 pieces of fruit and veg a day
  • Exercise for 30mins AT LEAST 4 times a week

Whilst I would like to lose about 10-14lbs I realise that I tend to sabotage myself if I give myself a set weight so to shoot for under 210 is the best, I think.

Well, I guess it'd be the same as Arbor Day... so 215 lbs is my goal. I went a little smaller, since I haven't gotten any goals yet so far.

Hello there ladies I am back and ready for April, didn't do so well with my goal in March but I am going to keep on trying I will get there one day I just know it. My goal is to be under 210 at the end of this month...I know I can do this someone please give me a kick LOL have a great day!

Ok, I am making more realistic goals for this month.

In April, I will:
  • lose 4 pounds and make it to 15% lost
  • Eat at least 4 servings of fruit and veggies a day
  • Take no more than 2 rest days in a row
  • Fight at the LL spring practice in front of my friends
Weight as of April 1: 214.2.
15%: 212.5
GW: 210.2

mystical-Let me tell ya... Here's the you asked for, but I know I need about 5 more for myself! Each month I swear it's gonna get better and each month I end poorly. SO frustrating! At least you have an excuse with the stress going on there.

A big welcome back to all you wonderful ladies from last month: Rashomon, NightAngel, mystical and knobhdy!

As you can see I carved out a couple minutes to actually do personals at the beginning before the thread runs away from me with all the people. I'm determined to see this month through and be proud of whatever the result because I gave it my best effort!

I wanna do it!

In April, I will:
- Get OUT of the 140's!
- drink at least 64 oz water EVERY DAY
- walk everywhere I go on campus unless the weather is severe or it is unsafe.

I have high hopes for this month... My birthday is in April.
