Hey Ladies!

Sorry I didn't post at the end of the last challenge, we were traveling for the holiday and DH is working at a job site for the month which is almost a 4 hour round trip daily. Needless to say, I'm alone a lot and can't seem to get the inside of my house under control - who knows when I'm going to get to the landscaping!

Started the previous challenge at 165.4, ended at 161 for a 4.4 lb loss - not much but I'll take it! I'll make my goal 6 pounds till Memorial day putting me at 155.

Week 1 - 161

Good too 'see' everyone and some new faces too, I'll try and catch up more thoroughly later. WEED for tomorrow...

W-64+
E-walking with the boys
E-OP
D-mop the kitchen floor, and take a 1/2 hour for myself and read at night

Ok so I was at 825 cals before dinner. Had spaghetti and meatballs (homemade). 2oz of dry pasta = 200 cals; how much is that when it's cooked? I had 12 oz of dry pasta and it cooked up to be 1 lb. 12 oz. So is 2oz dry = 4 or 5 oz cooked? Ok I didn't eat that much. I had about a cup of pasta and three meatballs. I'm figuring it to be about 500 cals, just to be safe. I'll have grapefruit soon and if I get the munchies later some celery, possibly w/a bit of peanut butter. That will bring my cals in at 1500 (or less) for the day.

Lts~swim class for mak last night was great. Tommy's class was great tonight. No I didn't get a chance to workout last night or tonight.

Janette, I'm not feeling much better, but I did make it through work.

Emily~I don't know how you do it.

I'm gonna eat and go to bed. I'll post more in the morning.

Anne - good job eating yesterday & welcome! It is not easy to keep portion down for homemade spaghetti and meatballs. A lb. per week is doable for me if I'm focused.

Emily - Congrats on the loss! I understand completely about getting things done alone. My husband works 3-11 pm (or later) 5 nights so I'm a solo act much of time. I find it very difficult to get motivated after a mentally draining day of work. Mini house goals are best for me, too. Not so daunting...

Lobon - yes - Food is fuel, not comfort! That is a great phrase. Welcome! There are so many other ways to comfort oneself. Yesterday, I went for a walk outside on a beautiful day - it worked so much better than food.

LtsGrl - Ireland or Italy sounds incredible. Both are on my and my husband's "someday" list.

Yesterday, I did pretty good. 1200 calories, walk at park, a little more water... Today:

W: 64 oz.
E: 30 minutes walking or elliptical and some floor exercises (work those abs!)
E: 1200 calories
D: Get a lot done at work

Have a great day everyone. Life is a box of chocolates - and don't eat them!

Good morning!

Janette~I love to get outside on a nice day, but I hate running outside.

Yesterday's food journal was ok. I was still suprised that I ate 1315 cals. my coffee creamer realy does me in. So does my pb. That said, my scale is back at 138. I'm so glad the gain was just water weight.

W 80 oz
E 25 min interval run/class~If I feel up to it 35 elliiptical/10 row/15 weights.
E 1500 cals ~plan and journal
D laundry

I did great yesterday with cals coming in under 1400. My stomach is a growling right now though! I'd better go eat breakfast before I start eying the dog's food.

W 64 oz or so
E Shred and dog walk
E eggs and fruit for b-fast, not sure on lunch yet, homemade chicken salad for dinner. Lots of veggies.
D Finish cleaning the screens and windows.

Wink

TOM is rolling through and weight is up. I was 179 today, yuck!!! I did not go over 180 though, so that's good. Didn't get in a workout yesterday, unless you count my trip around the mall once a workout. I did hit my Gruve's burn number though, 523 calories. I actually burned 580.

Hopefully the numbers will start going back down now, once TOM is finished. I really want to see low 170's soon.

So many people here it is hard to keep up. Sounds like everyone is pumped up and ready for this challenge. It is not easy, but it is so rewarding. We can do this girls.

Week 1: 177.4

Well I'm back, I had some major allergy issues the past week and a half and wasn't getting on the computer. My goal for this challenge is to get down to 165. I think this is doable. I work outside, and it turns out that I'm less hungry when it's hot outside, plus I drink tons more water. The high has been around 80 the past few days and it's only gonna go up from here.

W: at least 80 oz
E : work is my exercise, I burn about 2800-3200 calories per day
E : 1800 cals on work days; 1500 on off days
D : actually log my calories online instead of just keeping track in my head

Anne~I hope you got in a good breakfast. It always helps me get through the day.

Mindy~I'm keeping my fingers crossed for your new low.

Kasey~ its good to see you. I had to start writing everything down, I'm finding lots of hidden stuff that I haven't been counting.

Today hasn't been good. After my morning workout (which I barely made it through), I sat down and have barely been up since. I've been sipping the 7up (which I hate, since I dont like soda), and sleeping off and on. I'm so glad Tommy has been good today. I've also had my comfort foods. Not doing much calorie counting today.

Its funny when people say to me~Wow you look really good. When I've been laying in bed all day sick. I'm pale with blood shot eyes. . . .

I know its because of my weightloss but it makes me laugh anyway.

Hey ladies -

Hot here today, I refuse to turn on the AC in April so I'm just uncomfortable for now. Still have 300 or so cals left for the day so I'm trying to figure out what to eat. I bought fresh pineapple that's calling my name...

W - 64+
E - weeding
E - 1200-1350 cals
D - continue the laundry, there's always laundry around
