:newyear: Hope you all had a great night. It is now 2010 and I just know this is going to be my year to do everything right. I am cleaning out cabinets today and getting rid of any bad foods that will be a great start I think and tomorrow morning we are off to the gym.... I've just joined and just decided to lose weight this christmas, so my first goal is going to be 5lbs in january and see how it goes from there

I am in for 9 pounds gone by January 31. I gained 5 pounds in the last week of December, so I'm thinking 9 for the month is do-able. (You know how those quickly gained pounds can go quickly when they are jumped on immediately!) Ready, set, go!!!!

Happy New Year! I didn't get to do a work out today considering I'm so tired from last night. However, we're about to go grocery shopping and I'm so excited to start this new year, and new month off. The new year brought me a cold...UGH!! I did manage a brief workout and have planned a good OP weekend of eating. It's ON! I have a few pounds to lose that I managed to eat my way into in the last week or so. I'll start with that and then work on "new" weight. I love it!

Starting off the new year with three parties in a row isn't a great way to make a fresh commitment. But I was aware of everything I put in my mouth, and I know that I can make up for it later. We have a full month to make it happen.

Happy Saturday everyone!

The new year has been rung in with a visit from TOM and boy oh boy is he ever mad at me! It's so bad that I'm sitting here wondering if going to work out at Curves is a good idea. When TOM is this bad I usually call in sick to work and everything. I'm refusing to step on the scale also, I'm sure he's brought some water weight with him. So yeah, 2010 not my favorite year so far.

Good morning, chickies. Considering what I did to my body the last ten days of December :yikes:, I am pretty happy with the fact that I gained just .4 for the month. I am back on track now (the sweets are gone), and ready to finish what I started in July. Good luck to all of you! Wait, it's not luck. We are all in control of what we eat and how much (or how little) we move our bodies. So get moving! Don't you want to wear cute shorts come spring time? :bubbles:

Well I have had a slow two months so time to kick it back into gear. I have done well over the holiday (scale wise and not sure how:)) I am up 2lbs then back down the 2lbs over and over but I'll take the 2.
For January I would like to get to onederland so that would be 7-9lbs depending on weigh in tomorrow.

Is there anyone else here who is not weighing in until the end of Jan? I was at 1800 cals and then dropped it down to 1500 yesterday because I wasn't losing after almost 2 weeks. I had to have my dd hide my scale because I am a compulsive weigh-er. Now I REALLY want to know if the 1500 is working. :(

Hi everyone!

I've been tracking my calories in/out and I've only been making an average of -250 calories a day. No wonder I'm losing soooo painfully slowly. I guess the problem with the holidays is all the dinner parties, etc.

This January my goal is to make 500 calories deficit a day. Hopefully then I'll reach my 5 lb goal weight loss for the month.

I'm in! It's been a LONG time since I decided to lose weight...almost 3years. I've kept off almost all of what I lost, but this New Year's Eve made me realize how much I'm missing out of life. So, here's to starting a new decade with an improved me!

I'm planning on 8 pounds for the month of January. The plan includes eating approx. 1500 calories per day and training for a Valentine's Day 5K Run. For every weigh in I keep to the plan, I get a :carrot: and an extra 300 calories.

1/1: 175
1/9:170.2 (4.4 lbs!!!)

Hey Everyone!

Just wanted to check in while I still have the time to do so. I did brave the cramps and the firgid cold to go to Curves yesterday and boy was I glad I did. My hips had been sore from Friday's run and the exercise really limbered me up again and made me feel much better.

I did step on the scale today and I'm totally hoping once TOM leaves I'll get a small loss of weight but otherwise I've pretty much maintained for the last half of the month of December which I guess is both good and bad.

I go back to work tomorrow and I'm really looking forward to getting back to a normal routine!

Hopefully I'm not too late to join this time around. Keeping with the past two months, I'd like to lose 10lbs. I was able to reach this goal in Nov & Dec, so even though my weight loss is slowing down, I'd like to try to keep this up.
