Commitment Bootcamp
Ok Ladies, I want to do a Challange were the concept if losing weight, getting healthy and making good choices! First kicking the processed foods and fast foods (yes the french fry corp will take a hit) but so will our bodies! White Flour/bleached yuckiness, High calorie drinks/soda, fried foods and I can understand if we need a little around our monthly! haha. But I want to get healthy and I want a team to do it with me! So lets do this! Starts this week until May1st!

I've been eating too many :cookie: as of late. I've been baking for the holidays and I nibble so that is going to be my focus. I don't drink soda and try to eat only whole grain wheat bread and things like that so I'll keep going in that direction. :)

congrats ladies! For taking this step with me! so May 1st is our goal. thats 20 weeks! If you have a bad day or need any support please write us, If you feel happy and are proud Please write! Every week lets post how much we have lost, no goals though so no pressure! our goal is the long haul! so weigh ins will be every friday evening. We put our starting weight this friday! (I responded earlier but probably signed off before sending the post - cuz I was just so EAGER to exercise! :D ) I really like the time-frame - through the holidays and into spring, allowing us to get this as a "lifestyle" rather than just dropping a quick few pounds. Just an update. I'll start Saturday. This gives me time to WI, buy healthy groceries, and chuck some of the bad stuff.

I'm glad all of you are in this with me! I could seriously cry! It makes me happy to know I have a personal team....
As far as a insignia that was stated I will develop one today and post! as far as our "teams colors" I'll let everyone come up with that, if you have any ideas for anything please feel free to post! Also to add to the commitment for who ever gets to there goal on May 1st I will be sending out something very special ladies!!!!! |

Tomorrow will be a true test, but it's my TOM... so I've said only two cookies. 370lbs also I have lowered my portions and are doing 3 meals a day and one snack. I'm going triditional. Also I waled for the first time in a long time up and down a hill 4 times equal to a half mile |

I have not binge ate since doing this program and I have been at my 1700cal a day! Thank you to everyone!!! we can do this! Its a new week tomorrow we have to steer clear of work snacks,cookies ec. Pick healthy choices, pretzels, bottled water, juice, V8, yogurt, Cottage cheese with fruit! Think of what balances protein, like an apple with 2tbsp of peanut butter! or String cheese and an orange!

So true. Important for me is choosing what to allow into the house. Have learned from past efforts, I'm unable to stock up on even "healthy" items (nuts, pretzels, peanut butter) if it's one of my binge triggers. I figure if it's not in the cupboard, I can't use it to overeat at 2:00 am ;) Planning has helped to curb my thoughts about overeating.

Planning ahead really keeps me out of trouble, but when I don't, wow....I can consume some calories...and all my efforts go up in smoke! :smoking:

Hi I'm Haley can I hang out with you girls? I just was weighed at my doctor's so I'll weigh again Friday after next...my weight is 307. This week is final exams and I have been eating carbs nonstop....it feels hopeless!! The thing is I must have pulled a muscle a couple months ago, because after I exercise and/or when I lay down this one part of my back hurts so bad I can't take it! I want to exercise before one of my exams tomorrow but I don't want to be in so much pain when I go to school at 2 cause I would be in pain the rest of the day! My doctor said to give it a couple more months ugh....also I have a daughter, I'm vegan and hypothyroid...the supplements don't help with my energy or anything it stinks

Hopefalls - I subscribed to your sexy valentine's day one. Just FYI :val1: Christy - thanks for starting this! I too like that we'll be supporting each other all through winter (which is cold in Ohio) AND! my birthday is Saturday May 1st!! Imagine if I am near my goal weight by then!! :D Haley - Sounds like you're under some stress!! Hang in there. Listen to your body. If you can only walk as your exercise then so be it. Lower back pain is not unusual but it WILL go away. Good luck with your exams! :book2: I had a wretched food day today. ugh. But there's always tomorrow. On the positive side I am not going to be eating after 7:00pm. I can hear the food calling me from downstairs.... I am ignoring it. I'll check in with you tomorrow. I had good advice on another string that I shouldn't lurk because checking into 3FC can remind me I am worthy and have support! :dust: |

I totally screwed up today. I had a very weak moment. I started thinking about all the holiday parties I've been invited to, and I just literally panicked. I started going through my closet and trying on every piece of clothing that I thought would look good on me, and I was devastated! :( Everything was either too small or too big. The "too-big" stuff made me look like a whale, and the "too-little" stuff made me look like an overstuffed turkey...I just lost it! I ended up going to the grocery store and buying some sugary foods, took them home, and ate most of them. Then, I got furious with myself and threw the rest away. :devil:
I can either get back On Plan tomorrow or continue to sulk. I'm going to get back On Plan. Forget those holiday parties! How will I explain this to my friends? Almost all of them are thin and fit into any little cute outfit, and they always get tired of me complaining about the way I look. Well, I'm trying to do something about my weight. Tomorrow is a new day, and I will begin again. |

I hadn't weighed myself since mid November. And now I know why we need to weigh ourselves regularly. I was 195. Crikey!! Wrong Direction!!! Thank goodness for Christy because now i have to weigh in next week. I have kept up with my C25K though. Or else I might have crept back over 200 and that would have wounded me. Slimming - I feel for you and the clothes, trying everything on and nothing looking right. I sure hope you pulled yourself out of your funk! Realme2010- my exams were ok thanks i ended up with A A A- B my back wasn't hurting last night for the first time in 3 months lol I'm going to exercise today and see if it hurts 20 minutes after, that will be the real test lol I was doing WW...sort of..I didn't actually stick to it for more than a couple days so I'm going back to calorie counting ugh I'm going to start with 2000 I think and then see what happens and adjust if I need to. I know I've been eating well over 2000 lately lol oops!....Christmas will be a challenge but I'll still try to count and if I go over...well at least I'll be accountable for it! |
yesterday I ate 2322 calories but there were lots of vegetables and fruit in there and I kept track which is a first for the last month....let's try for day 2...I exercised yesterday did 32 minutes of the walk at home dvd and yes I was hurting shortly after *sigh*

Happy New Year's everyone!
I'm back and (hopefully) did not pack on too much during the time away. I had a great vacation during the last two weeks. While I ate well and abundantly, I didn't binge. My exercise plans did not pan out as often as I initially believed; yet, I wasn't a "couch potato!" :carrot: I'm so ready to dive back into my routines. Hope everyone is doing well! Jean |
I've been wondering where everyone is myself lol. I haven't been the greatest diet and exercise wise but yesterday was good. I've started tracking my food on fitday and am journaling on the johnstonefitness forums. Also I'm going to make a commitment on stickk.com with money maybe $30. I CAN'T afford it, that's a lot of money to me or maybe I'll do $50 to really scare me lol. I'll commit to doing exercise x amount of days and eat no more than 2000 cals a day with one cheat meal a week and make the commitment for 3 months at a time so i have the potential to lose $600. I don't want to do it with weight loss exactly because bodies fluctuate you know, I don't want a fluctuation to cost me $50!!! lol or if I exercise and then my body retains water, I lost $50 because of that, I don't think so lol
