Jessicado- Great to have you join in!

The more the merrier.
kswood- I know what you mean, I've always been really self conscious about sweating in front of other people. Don't feel pressured to join in, keep working a program that works for you. I finally just made myself do it for a week, and the feel good of actually running finally outweighed my selfconsciousness over it. Not that it doesn't rear it's head. I had teenagers yell rude things out the window at me last spring... but I finally get that what they say isn't really about me. That whole sticks and stones thing.

At 1500-1800 calories you probably don't need to eat back any of your exercise calories. I think if you were eating something closer to 1200 I would recommend eating a little. If you get completely famished on exercise days you could add back in 100-150 calories in an additional snack, but I wouldn't add more than that because you'd be wasting the calorie burn of the exercise itself.
So ladies, I'm trying something new now. I'm trying a moderate carb diet (100-150 g daily). So it's not truly a south beach or anything like that, I'm just trying to get my carbs down and eat more protein and fat and see if with that I can actually stay on plan a little better.
