I'm off to a good start - but it is a bit decieving since it was simply getting rid of the wieght I regained when I was camping and off plan last weekend!

SW: 236.8
CW: 230.8 (-6 )
GW: 219.8

I won't be repeating this performance again I doubt!

I am also doing the C25K program and am just finished week 4. On to week 5 tomorrow morning!

Just ran 3.41 miles. . Down two pounds this week. I'll def. take that!!

Just a quick question. I eat 1500-1800 calories on a non exercising day. Should I keep my calories the same on days I exercise or should I replenish some of them? If so, how many?

Well I'm off to read some and then eat some yummy soup for supper!! I'll check back later!

Congrats on the losses!!!

girls!

So I woke up this morning, got on the scale, and wondered how in the **** did I gain 2 lbs when I ate pretty well and got in some good exercise this week?! I wasn't expecting a big loss but come on. I got my answer this afternoon.....TOM. I'm relieved he came this week though since TBL challenge starts next week. Not changing my ticker cause I know it's water weight and I'm going to be good this week so next WI will be good.

Jessicado- Great to have you join in! The more the merrier.

kswood- I know what you mean, I've always been really self conscious about sweating in front of other people. Don't feel pressured to join in, keep working a program that works for you. I finally just made myself do it for a week, and the feel good of actually running finally outweighed my selfconsciousness over it. Not that it doesn't rear it's head. I had teenagers yell rude things out the window at me last spring... but I finally get that what they say isn't really about me. That whole sticks and stones thing.

At 1500-1800 calories you probably don't need to eat back any of your exercise calories. I think if you were eating something closer to 1200 I would recommend eating a little. If you get completely famished on exercise days you could add back in 100-150 calories in an additional snack, but I wouldn't add more than that because you'd be wasting the calorie burn of the exercise itself.

So ladies, I'm trying something new now. I'm trying a moderate carb diet (100-150 g daily). So it's not truly a south beach or anything like that, I'm just trying to get my carbs down and eat more protein and fat and see if with that I can actually stay on plan a little better.

Oh geez I almost feel like I cheated this week because most of my loss was water weight but it does still feel good to say I lost 7 pounds, woohoo!

tessa- im trying to mentally prepare myself to start running because it really is something I want to succeed at and I can't stand the thought of a treadmill. One of my roomies goes running outside pretty much everyday and I think I might join her one day soon...maybe lol

Today was ok I had some pretzels randomly pretty late so it's prbly gonna be a weird weigh-in tomorrow but eh its ok I only count Mondays for real anyways. How was everyone's start of the week?

Hey Jello---I started C25K yesterday too! I tried once before and got through week 1 and then moved to this really hilly area where I couldn't really do it anymore. Just started at the gym on the treadmill this time and planning to stick with it!
