Hi... Im Fran, Im chilean and kind of new here (been lurking for a while)!
Until now I was the kind that looked for quick fixes, ultra low cal diets which I can only follow a few weeks, and then I gain all back.. so this time Im making it the healthy reasonable way.. 1200- 1300 calories daily, lots of veggies, fruits, lean meats and water, and exercise!

Im shooting for 10 lbs.. so:
SW: 169,4
GW: 159,4

Ah, can someone explain me what "PMed to me by Sunday night, 12 am CT" means???

JasonsLea:

Hi all!

I have a bit of a dilemma: somehow, i managed to hurt myself while running. My calf has been sore for days, and now my hamstring. I planned something like this into my 5k schedule, so I can rest some but still make it to the race. But my question is... what do I do? I can swim twice a week (already went yesterday, maybe again tomorrow or Thursday) but what else can I do? Is it ok to be walking? (My injury does not feel very severe, only sore.) Yoga is ok for stretching only, but even that I need to be careful with, and I won't be burning alot of calories. I don't have access to a gym, so I'm at a loss.

Sorry for such a long post, but any advice is much appreciated!!!

Thanks Shari! I miss you! I am hoping to stick around this time. You know how life is though. New apartment, new job, back to school...but I think I am finally settled.

if there's a bunch of people interested we can always start a thread when we are ready
I understand the slacking, I've not gotten anywhere all summer. I started week 1 of c25k yesterday, but could easily repeat week 1 next week (I'm sooo out of shape). So just let me know when you want to start and I'll sync up with you

If you click on someones name (to the left of their post) it gives you an option of sending a private message to that person. It's kind of like a mini email. What JasonsLea is asking is that by Sunday night at midnight you send her that message with your weigh in so that she can track everyone's weight losses.

Well today is a busy day... Working all day with my DSF on his farm. Lots of activity there! Managed to get in a 3 mile jog last night and played soccer with my niece!

TOM arrived so the scale is refusing to budge right now, and I want to eat pasta like crazy!! Lol. I will resist!

Hope everyone has a great day today!!

Hey ladies!

I think my scale is dying, it gives me a different number almost every time I step on it... so this morning I decided to take an average of the numbers I saw most often. It's only a year old, how annoying!

I'm setting an ambitious goal for this challenge, because I think that maybe I could realistically be at my goal weight by the end of the year if I work REALLY hard. Plus, it will put me at my lowest adult weight (120) on my 25th birthday (November 1)!

SW: 131.9
GW: 120
