Default Just For Today Challenge, July 16

Have you been struggling to get on program, no matter which program you are trying to do? Why not sign in here just for today, and come back and show us how you did. Sign up with any goals you want to.

I have been struggling, some days eating as much as 60 points. I found last week when I started this challenge, that even though I still overate, I did much better, knowing I was going to be reporting it here.

Join me if you like. I will probably start this challenge daily for a while. If anyone beats me on here in the mornings, and it hasn't been started, feel free to start it. Believe me, I will follow this challenge no matter who starts it.

We had a great time yesterday on this challenge. Anyone is welcome to join.

We are really supporting each other, and I love that. I also love getting to know my new friends.

I am sure going to try my best to do better today.

I'm changing my goals a little bit just for today.

Eating Plan for today: Limit my portions. I'm not counting points or calories. Sometimes if I allow myself to eat whatever but just be reasonable on the portions, I actully do better. At the end of the day, I may add the points up just to see if I did do better.

32 oz water today

Blog-trying to create a new habit.

You go Synesthetes!

My goal today is the same old, same old. Today is the day though! So far I had 300 calories of yogurt and granola. Still have 1500 to make it through the day.

Good Luck Everyone. Let's kick booty today!

Well, I went back to bed this morning. It's 11 a.m. and I haven't eaten breakfast yet, But I will eat my normal cereal and milk. I have learned if I skip it, it throws my whole day off and I overeat for sure. My lunch and dinner will just be later.

Going to start on that water now. I'm going to my sister's house, but I'm going to exercise before I go.

Have a great day Terapet and Synesthetes. I'm sure inthemidst will be here too. Is she Ash? I forget, but Ash will be here too if inthemidst is not her. lol

Hey,

I have had a busy morning. Productive though. Did not get breakfast until lunch time. May use my breakfast as a snack later. We'll see. Possible we are going out for dinner. That should be fun........

My goals for the day,

more than 1.5 liters water - haven't even started.....
eat on plan, even at the restaurant
no crackers
no weighing
walk the dog with DH, no matter how late
no yelling at the child (14 yo) because her room is a mess and she told me she cleaned it.

Have a great day Terapet and Synesthetes and JazzyPeggy.

Oh and thank you for this. It makes a difference.

I love the little group we have become. In case anyone is reading, we will always accept new challengers.

I had a great day today. I started out the day saying I wouldn't count calories or points, I could have anything I wanted, just as long as I cut back. And I succeeded. At the end of the day, I did add the points up just for comparison. I only had 37.5 points compared to 50-60! Yay, I will continue this for sure a few more days and see if it will continue to work for me. And I had 54 oz water, yes 54 oz!!!! I'm on my way to blog.

A very successful day for me for sure!

Ash, you ate on plan at the restaurant! How awesome is that!!!!

Terapet, & Synesthetis, I can't wait to hear how your day went.

Hey Chickies,

I did not eat at a restaurant yesterday- forgot to remove it. However I feel I did something much more important and longlasting....I talked the DH out of eating at a restaurant and fed him a OP meal that he enjoyed.

However today I have two restaurant meals to contend with. last day of detox and I am bloated so hopefully I will be motivated to eat OP.

So my goals are
more than 1.5 liters water
eat on plan, even at the restaurants
no crackers
walk the dog with DH, no matter how late

I am thinking about you ladies. And wishing you an easy easy day.

Ash

Hi,

So my goals are
more than 1.5 liters water - Not yet
eat on plan, even at the restaurants
no crackers
walk the dog with DH, no matter how late

I am pretty happy with my day. First the bad news. I bailed on walking the dog. I ate chicken and guac. Now for the successes: I went off plan by eating chicken and guac. Not chips or any of the other things I would normally get at a mexican restaurant. And my best trick of the night was to convince DH to go to a mexican restaurant and not get chips. Ladies, this was a miracle. The man thinks the point of eating at a mex restaurant is to fill up on 2-3 bowls of chips and then bring your meal home for lunch and dinner the next day. That's his money saving plan. He was a student too long.

I am thinking about you ladies. Cannot wait to hear about your day.

Ash, you forgot to go to the just for today dated July 17th. I'm proud of you for accomplishing your hubby not to eat all those chips. That's a big thing! I'm so proud of you. The good always out weighs the bad. Human nature is to dwell on the bad, but let's forget the bad and realize what you really accomplished today. Go to July 17th to see how everyone did today and don't forget July 18th for tomorrow.

Do you think we should just start one thread and stick with it everyday?
