Default Just For Today Challenge, July 18

Have you been struggling to get on program, no matter which program you are trying to do? Why not sign in here just for today, and come back and show us how you did. Sign up with any goals you want to.

I have been struggling, some days eating as much as 60 points. I found last week when I started this challenge, that even though I still overate, I did much better, knowing I was going to be reporting it here.

Join me if you like. I will probably start this challenge daily for a while. If anyone beats me on here in the mornings, and it hasn't been started, feel free to start it. Believe me, I will follow this challenge no matter who starts it.

This has become a wonderful supportive group!

Good Morning Girls,

Sorry again for not posting last night. I went to bed really early. As far as results yesterday, they were less then stellar but I am still improving. Unfortunately, the two pounds that I thought I lost showed up again this morning so that was kind of disappointing. It just shows how much I need to get this eating in line. I pretty much gained 5 pounds in the last 6 weeks so I really need to get back to eating better or I will gain another 5 just like that.

My goal is to stay as close to 1800 calories as possible. I have already had 500 calories today but still hope to do okay today.

InthMidst-I agree with your husband about the chips and salsa. They are so delicious and they're free! Good for you though for not eating them and therefore making it possible to eat at a mexican restaurant and still stay OP.

JazzyPeggy-Only eating the half portion was a great idea and congrats for getting in your fruit and vegetable. I had a peach with my cereal this morning. It was soooo good.

Tracy-Hope you did well yesterday.

I am off to the Y soon for a weight training class. I usually go to a step class on Saturdays but I am switching up this week to see if I can improve my strength.

Let's make this a great day!

I'm so glad you posted this, just what I need today. I've had a week off plan and it's harder getting back on than it is starting from scratch! I've invested in an online diet plan, today's meals aren't what my head or my heart want but are what my body needs. So I'm clinging on - Just for Today!

Today's Goals

32 oz water
Limit Food Intake
2 mile watp

Just for today, I'm going to see how many fruits and veges I can eat.

I say I'm not counting points, but If I am tallying at the end of the day, I guess I am. I guess I'm just not setting any constraints or limits because mentally I rebell. I had about 60 points yesterday, so today's goal is to have a whole lot less.

I had a high calorie dinner but was good the rest of the day. So I was over again but it could have been worse. Up until this week, I had been moving steadily towards eating more and more high calorie goodies. It is taking me awhile to get in the groove of watching what I eat. On the positive side I am writing down everything I eat and visiting this site so hopefully I will start doing better soon.

Terapet, I'm in the same boat, if we keep trying, we will make it. We can't give up.

Hey All,

I also had a high calorie dinner (at a restaurant) but I was more in control than usual. Writing it all down and coming to 3fc everyday -no matter what- is helping me get better at these new skills. I am thinking that is what we are doing - learning new skills. If I wanted to play tennis I wouldn't expect to be great at it the 1st day or the 1st week or the 1st month even. So I am practicing.

I am going to go look for the 19th thread. I am so glad we are doing this. The interaction helps me lots.
Ash
