Jacqueeeeee, meeting that part of the goal is a dang great accomplishment :). Are mom and sophie still there? Keep up the awesome work girl : ).

Delphiiiiiiiiiiii, lol wtg on getting those measuring cups, lol you! :) You asked me about the fish last time. Haddock is light textured, it's flaky and light and mild in flavor. IT is the only fish I eat (and flounder) as I am not much of a seafood person otherwise. Funny you mention GOrtons, that company is here in Mass in one of the coastal towns. A lot of those frozen fish products are Cod (similiar to haddock though haddock is of better quality). I tell you one thing, once you get the fresh stuff and cook it yourself you probably wont be able to go back. If your interested in trying it sometime, I would be happy to share how I do mine. I cook it one of 3 ways. Now that you got those measuring cups dear girl...we are going to need to keep in mind to share more recipes with you. Did you ever pick up one of those cookbooks. I think that's awesome that your taking on new endeavors this way.........right on chicky, you keep on shining :sunny:. wtg on the workout. Thanks again for the support.

Newshinymeeeeee, congratulationsssssssss on the 30lb. mark :carrot::carrot::cheer2::cheer2::cheer3::cheer::ch eer::cheer: That is so good, you must feel wonderful. That is a great milestone! :) It's going slow for me too but isn't it cool how those numbers add up over time and then one day it's like voila! Thanks for sharing and reminding us also that a lb or two here and there add up over time. Sounds like you had a nice weekend. That's good that you and DH took some time off Newshinyme, that was very smart of you both! THe pressure got to DH and I after awhile and it wasn't good. Keep up the great work and congrats again :)

glutio, honestly....I would try and get rid of that lb. the more natural way. Laxatives can be habit forming and needed after awhile to have a movement. Hang in there. I would suggest drinking a lot of water and going right back OP.....give it a few days and you will get rid of that lb. quick. Keep on truckin' and keep us posted.

YIkes, I better get to bed. Hope you all wake up to a happy new day tomorrow girls.

Lewisssssss, miss ya girl. Hope all is well over there and your enjoying your summer. I will head over to our sister thread soon. Urockmom, lene, and to all of our chicks...........a big hello.

As for my news, I had a good day! OP and lot'sss of water. I am having fish for dinner tomorrow night. I am having my family over this SUnday for fathers day so I will be busy this week cleaning, cooking, etc. THe house isn't too bad though as I did all that heavy cleaning not so long ago. I do enjoy cooking up a feast for them but I was planning to maybe not make spanakopita this time.....Dh wants it though and they all love it (I couldn't stay away from it last time, lol, that stuff is addicting) so that is on the backburner for now. Chat soon. hugs

That is so cool!!! I would call a wildlife rescue or a vet or someone to make sure what you are doing is okay. I'm sure he/she will be fine anyway, but I would do that just to be sure!! Have you taken any pictures of the egg and the poking? That is something you should do too!!!

Delphi

That was some interesting info on water. Didn't know I shouldn't gulp. I don't always, but it's interesting that it goes right through you if you do. Maybe that is why I go to the bathroom so much.;)
Also, I've been drinking more then needed by using the divide your weight in two. That's a good thing.

eat Kiwis!! I don't really have this issue but my WW leader swears by it. I now eat a kiwi every morning first thing without fail and trust me, this helps things along!!

this month is half over and I'm not sure I'm going to reach my goal of 85KG. We went to Berlin last week which kind of slowed the process down (I gave myself permission to eat things I don't normally have -ever! - and drink beer!). I am still losing, in fact I hit my 15lbs lost mark today (15.5 to be exact), but I just don't know if I'll drop down another 3KG in only 2 weeks time... I'm still exercising at least once every other day, but my bellydancing class ended (which means my extra 3KM walk is gone now too) so I want to find other ways to fill up the non-C25K days. June exercise looks like it will be less than May, but I'm still satisfied that I'm moving a LOT more than I was a few months ago!!

OK. I should be able to keep up with the thread now!

 Good Morning Ladies

Velveteen ~ Hey no worries. You jump right on it dear. It's good to see you back. :) Oh and :congrat: on reaching the 15lb mark. :carrot: Way to go. Oh and trip to Berlin. I bet that was exciting as well.

Jacque ~ Me to. I tend to drink my water in big quantities. 24oz every time I eat/workout, but few and far between, so I thought perhaps that is the reason why I'm drinking plenty and still retaining water. So I think I'm gonna still try to sip on the water throughout the day and see if that helps.

FSA ~ oh my gosh...a cruise..eh? I think either way is a great idea. Are you on facebook? If not, I'll send you a pm with my email...ya know, just in case. I'm not one to lose touch. ;)

crazymomma ~ Yeah, they keep showing this commercial here for some kind of amusement park in Indiana and the kids want to go. I told em it wasn't that far. A few hours I think..eh? How did your duck do overnight?

Well for me, swollen hands again. I am so uber-aware of the sodium I put in my body now, I'm pretty sure I didn't go over 2500 yesterday and still I'm all puffy and stuff. The scale is still idle at 210.4! So my logic is that I have dropped another pound or two and I'm still retaining water. I think I"m gonna try to not drink any diet cokes after seven o' clock and see if that helps. It only has 40mm of sodium, so it's not much, but it's all I got to go on for the moment. If that isn't it, then it could be my Strength Training yesterday and muscles are retaining a little to repair themselves. So, I can take comfort in the fact that the fat is gone, and Darth Scale is simply being an uber pain in my (now tightening  ) a double s.

Regardless, as I mentioned yesterday. I just plain feel good. My scale isn't moving, but dang if I can see that I am "almost" where I was before I gained all the "extra" weight. I usually stayed around 185 -190 before. Or at least every time I lose weight, I get down to that point and seem to maintain that well. But not this time. I'm getting fit, I don't just want to feel "comfortable" anymore. This is the point where I will really need you gals. To push me past my comfort zone and get me past the 190's. Though when I see 190....well that's for another post. I gotta get moving and grooving, but really I can't. I have cardio this morning and my two oldest are asleep on the floor in the livingroom. :( That means I'll be pushing my workout back to noon. But that's alright. At any rate, you ladies have like the greatest day ever. Don't forget your smiles or the water or to tell yourself how freakin' hot you are either. ;)

PinkyPie 06-16-2009 06:39 AM

Delphi, thanks!! and sorry to hear you are still trying to figure out the sodium/swollen hands/water retention thing but I'm glad you are feeling good mentally, that's really important!!

Berlin was great - it's becoming my favourite European city (Prague was number 1 for about 10 years!); I can't wait to go back again! Maybe for my birthday in September. It's only 6 hours away by train and less than €100 for a ticket, so why not?

Yeah that was great info....I ALWAYS have a bottle close by and generally do sip, however there are moments that I do gulp. Then I run to the potty.

NSM, CONGRATS on the 30 lb loss!! That's a huge milestone, and I am so proud of you for sticking with it!! Fantastic job!!

Delphi 06-16-2009 08:16 AM

Velveteen ~ Oh yeah, why not..eh? Well you deserve those trips. You have been doing a great job from what I've seen over the past few months. You keep it up girly! :)

Jacque ~ That's really what I should do. Dang diet cokes and cigarettes. If my water didn't taste so bad with the smokes and vice versa, I'd be alright. I guess I need something to offset the taste of the smokes. Plus I'm a menthol smoker. Eh, oh well keep up the good work.

Jacqui ~ Hey you!'s because I can. I miss your clever posts and your insight. Just saying...I miss ya!

As for me, I DID get my morning cardio in, thanks to my loud mouth. I think 99% of the time my kids love that I'm a big goofball, but not so much first thing in the morning. I think my oldest wanted to lay me out when I woke him up. So you ladies, try to stay POP today and get that exercise in. Move those bodies ladies. Do a jig, play some naked twister..**** do SOMETHING! Burn those calories!!!! And....WHY SO SERIOUS? Remember to smile and LAUGH!!!!!!!! Tootaloo!

iDream 06-16-2009 08:54 AM

Gooooooooooood Morning Chickie!!! :trampo: It's another brand new day! Are you ready for it? I know I am!! :D

FSA~ Hope the weather holds out for you today--I'm with ya, gardening on cloudy days rocks! No sunburn, less of that searing type heat...so long as it doesn't rain and get all swampy that is. ;) Sounds like Sunday is going to be fun! We're officially having guests on Saturday (finally got confirmation last night) so it's going to be a busy week for me cleaning and stuff. Thankfully my fil loves to bring all the food so I don't have to worry about that (well, except my meal because I'm not eating hamburgers and hotdogs! ;)). I'm going to have to try those chest presses--I end up doing butterfly presses on my back and I do feel it, but I'm not seeing any noticable lifting of the girls...then again, after nursing 4 babies, they're kind of a lost cause.

Jacque~ yeah, I found a local wildlife rescue right up the road that I'll be calling this morning. I read online about what to do and he made it through the night so I think all is well. He won't need food for the first 72 hours so as long as we hand him over to the wildlife rescue within the first day we'll be set. If we could have a duck as a pet here, I totally would, but alas, we can't. :( I've totally been taking pics, although not much has happened overnight--I think he slept. He's active this morning though and 'talking' to us and poking around so maybe he'll make more progress today.

Velveteen~ it sounds like, despite going off plan in Berlin, that you're doing awesome! Keep it up and you just might surprise yourself and make your June goal! :)

MasterDelphi~ man, sorry to hear about your swollen hands again! I bet it's not just one thing but rather a bunch of things. Like sodium intake and muscle repair--kwim? I mean, it could still be the aftermath of TOM! Keep plugging along (as I know you will) and I'm sure you'll get rid of that extra water. Good for you waking those lazybones boys up and getting your workout ;) My boys would be grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrumpy if I did that to them! However, they have no qualms at all about waking me up at 6:30 to tell me the duck made it through the night! Lastly...naked Twister...:lmao:, good one Delphi, good one!

Jacqui~ I miss you too! Hope all is well with you!

Okay so despite not wanting to get out of bed, having to put 3 kids back to bed and making hubby's lunch for today--I DID manage to get my ST'ing in this morning--fairly uninterrupted. :D :carrot: It's a good thing too because if I hadn't, I'd be grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrumpy!

So, the ducky made it through the night! I'll keep you all posted on the hatching progess. :)

Not much planned today, just going to try to clean the house, maybe get some yardwork done between storms (it's supposed to get ugly later on tonight--let's hope it doesn't get too squirrely!) and just, I dunno, revel in the fact that I've officially lost 30 Pounds!!! :celebrate: I am so stinkin' happy! I don't remember if I've ever lost this much weight in one shot! 20, sure, but I don't think 30! I weighed in this morning at 166 :goodscale so I've also made my June goal as well! :broc: I can't believe I've actually done it girls and you know I couldn't have done it without you all! You ladies are so inspiring and seeing how hard you're working and all of your successes just makes me want to keep pushing forward!! So thank you all! :grouphug:

Well, that's it for me I guess. I'm done with my breakfast and half of my water so it's time for some :coffee2::coffee::D You ladies go out there and have a spectacular day! You deserve it!! And of course, I wouldn't be me if I didn't say it...

Be sure to...

Drink Your Water!! :D

Okay, skipping off to go change my siggy/ticker! :woohoo:

Delphi 06-16-2009 09:05 AM

Sandye ~ Don't act like you haven't played Naked Twister. Come on now, tell the truth. Not too long ago, I got into a discussion on another forum about people completely obsessed with playing the Wii Naked. Now, I don't know about you...but personally, I don't care who you are, or how fit you are, I don't want to see anyone jogging or hoola hooping while in their birthday suit. Nope, never, ever...

Anywho, :congrat: on the thirty pound loss. :woohoo: on the panties girlfriend! Way to tell that fat who's the boss. :carrot: :broc: :carrot: You are doing amazing.

L R K 06-16-2009 09:19 AM

First Weigh in of the week ... drum roll .... down 1lbs! :cheer3:

Sooo happy to be losing again! :D

Lewisempire 06-16-2009 09:38 AM

GM girls!
Sorry I have been MIA, rough week with work last week, and went to the lake sat after work (no internet there). I have been struggling to stay on plan. AND TOM has sent me 2 pounds. OH,I need some gumption, I know my miles are looming this month. I will get them done somehow....... I was on plan last night, though. And I got some protein powder to make shakes in the morning with my Mulberries mmmm they are soooo tasty. I think once I catch up on my sleep, and work slacks off, I will get back in gear......oh pray for me girls~~~~

Delphi- I have never played naked twister, but I have jetskiied naked before! Probably some video on Youtube. It was sooooo funnnnn!!!

Crazymamaof4- WTG- don't stop Now!!! Very proud of you!

FSA-Hey, Girl! so glad to hear you got your Haddock! That will be so good for you to stay on plan, YAY!!!
We should do a 3fc Mixer!!! That would be too much fun!

Girls, gotta run going berry picking.......be back soon- everyone have a great day!
