jaya, i love the cartoons hope you're feeling better soon

jcat, sorry about your run of bad luck, but im glad you got into the gym and glad the insurance co seems to be on top of their game--one less thing to worry about

nix, hope you're enjoying your vacation/tan...lucky you!

michelle, i'm sorry to hear that you've been struggling, but it takes courage to own up to your actions as you did. glad you're back on the site

i'm missing some of you...i'm sorry i'm falling asleep

more tomorrow.

as far as weed goes...a few indulgences here and there with food but nothing huge...getting water in right now...haven't been able to swim or run since tues due to minor surgery...boo...feel like the wind is out of my sails a bit...but i can go back to the gym starting next week sometime (depending on healing time). i just feel so weird not going...i'm so in the habit.

it's funny, when i'm in a funk i don't come online as much, but just articulating how i feel, even just a bit...it really helps and helps me put things into perspective.

thanks ladies

e.

JCat- I've been having probs getting on this site for about a week. Glad to hear insurance people are working fast for you!

MTig- glad you're seeing those #s go down. You work so hard!

Holy- I get left out of lunch dates a lot of the time. That's part of work life.

e32- didn't realize you were having minor surgery. Hope you get back on your feet soon!

Whopper of a gain this week #4. TOM is killer. A little surprised considering I've been eating better than most months and exercising. I wonder if the ice-cream sandwhiches followed by a skor blizzard I had last night have anything to do with the gain!! (Ha,ha)

Happy Friday!

Morning Grazer! I am with ya, just looked at the scale, which I was not going to do until Monday, and it was ugly.

E32, ditto, I hope the recovery is fine, hope all is well!

NM, Color me frustrated, I would love to chat with y'all. Wish again that we all lived where we could exercise together...

HT, don't let the jerks get ya down.

Jeni, glad although the truck was totalled, the insurance went well. Happy shopping.

W moving this down, I've not been making it anyway. Let's go for 75
E Rest day
E Mindful, bake sale at work today, need to stay within reason

girls!

Oh I know, big surprise, Shari's awake early in the morning! I actually got to bed at a decent time last night. I have a appointment at 11 am and I have to go to Wallyworld to get some money orders and other things. So I'm down 1 lb this week, I can and will do much better next week. I got my hair chopped off a few days ago, first time it's ever been this short. I'm probably going to the movies this weekend so I'm going to press it and make it look somewhat decent.

I need to go make breakfast but I'll be back later on today for personals! TTYL!

I am doing better today. I am still sore but I am going to do some small yoga stretches on the Wii this evening. I don't want to get off track. I did eat kind of icky last night because I really wanted comfort food. I figure well I deserve it....but I put myself back on track of eating good.

I was laughing yesterday because when I looked at my stomach it had a big bruise on it from hitting the steering wheel in the accident. of course nothing else got hit, just whip lash.....sigh..so even more of reason for me to lose weight. I think that my tummy were smaller it would have not touched the steering wheel. LOL

I am in good spirits...what happened has happened. No need to dwell...so I am moving forward...hehehehe...I hope everyone is having a great day...~

HUGZ

Cheers~

Wink

Jeni- Hope you make out okay with the new truck.

Grazer and MM- You are my girls. You have some of the same struggles I do and I relate to both of you. Hang in there, keep working it.

I didn't lose anything this month after TOM, like I normally do. Now I am appraoching mid-cycle gain and dreading it. What in the world will happen this month??? I am certainly at a plateau for some reason. I am trying to keep the calories up, as well as the workouts. Gosh, I hope it helps. I am tired of seeing 191 something on my scale.

Mtig- I know how frustrating it is to see the same #s over and over. I know that I deserve it because sometimes my eating is out of whack and I get lazy. You on the other hand are so dedicated and deserve to lose! Post some of your NSVs because I'm sure there's lots i.e your running!

MM- Hope the scale is friendlier by Monday!

I have another idea for a mini-challenge. I'm borrowing it from a group at work. Let's set a group goal loss for next week.

Got to try to make my Saturday count again. TOM is nearly done and I know the weight isn't going with it. This time around the obsession has been ice cream and ice cream sandwhiches.

Happy Weekend Weeders! (lots of Es and my laptop E gets stuck)

Are any of you joining the summer Biggest Loser contest? I remember some of you joined the previous ones but felt kinda left out (no offense to anyone reading this) or felt not quite part of the team. But I was thinking about starting it this time. Of course I can barely adhere to the WEED challenges!

Freeque! Of course I remember you! The smokin hot Latina actress! How's things going? The boyfriend situation? Auditioning?

AAAhhh I want to finish up my personals but don't have a lot of time. You should see this house. Its been so clean all week and this morning I wake up to this crap.

Jeni, sorry to hear about the truck, maybe you'll get a brand new vehicle out of it. But what a run of bad luck you've had. Who did you piss off? LOL

OH and Jaya, I didn't realize you'd been in an accident too! Your poor belly. It wouldve happened to me too. At least you didnt bruise your chest or hurt any organs like it would have those skinny chicks. (I remember having a huge abscess in my abdomen after Rachel was born and they told me it was a good thing I was a bigger gal, it would have killed a thinner person. LOL?) OH and that last cartoon, I'd settle for the before chick too.

Mindy, did we break the 190s yet?! Do you think that cream is really helping at all?

Grazer, name this week's challenge, I'll be in. A group goal, like 20 pounds and we each have to contribute our own share? Or goals like we'll each do MMunches every day?

Shari, glad to hear you're on a more normal sleep/wake schedule. Hope you're enjoying your new digs and roommate.

E2, what kind of minor surgery, if I may ask? Good luck!!!

MMavis, keep plugging along. Hope you held your own through that bake sale. I can't control myself with sweets. Or steak or BBQ for that matter. LOL

Amy, we's just like peas and carrots again! How's the Mary Kay going? Or was it pampered chef? Crap I can't remember. I love those in home parties either way, my favorite is Tastefully Simple (beer bread and dips). I was just thinking of your mother in law accusing you of fattening up her boy. I just chuckled a bit, bc mine is the same way. I started watching Everybody Loves Raymond, that Marie is MY MIL, I've learned not to take it too seriously.

NixMom, are you back from vacay yet? I can't wait to read the latest in the blog. Hope the break helps with the work stress. And I know I can't exactly relate, but I used to be stressed at work, every day wanted to quit and say "f it" but now that I can't go back, I MISS it, realized I took for granted that I had a job I <usually> loved and was GOOD at it. And you are GOOD at what you do. Let's hear about the big catch of the weekend. And PLEASE tell me you hit the casino down there. I think I get to go to poker tournament Sunday afternoon, we'll see.

LOL For someone who above stated I wish I had time for personals, I guess I just knocked some out of the park... Oh and here's a great D for some of you stumped in the D part of WEED, I learned it in counselling and I realized that some of this is my problem with anger!

Q-TIP.....Quit Taking It Personally. Not everything we snap-react to is a personal attack!! But we automatically take it as such. Just the other day, I vaccuumed my *** off, shampooed the rugs on two of the three levels of our house (split level home) and basically cleaned my *** off, hubby walks into the room as I'm sitting down to drink some water, he'd been upstairs in our room putting the clean/folded clothes away (nice hubby!) and he grumbled some crap about "you need to DO something about your damn dresser drawers, they're overpacked, we can't even get all your clothes shoved into them," "thats how the drawers break" etc. and I got all pissy, like really?! I just did all the floors, sweating, etc and you're going to get all over me about the damn drawers?! Am I not cleaning ENOUGH lately!? A huge fight ensued but later I thought, damn I should have remembered what Sheila (counsellor) told me about Q-TIP.

Oh and being in AA and all, I really use the Serenity prayer to help me think through some situations too. It's really not pushing the religion thing that people get all offended by, but here goes...

God, grant me the SERENITY to accept the things I cannot change; the COURAGE to change the things I can, and the WISDOM to know the difference.

It helps me too when I give advice to others. Bad things happen but we can't change the things we have no control over. Including how we react to those bad things. I've always known about the serenity prayer and all that but never really really studied it or applied it to my life.

Oh and I'm completely addicted to Facebook. I started looking up old high school friends and am having a blast with it. Are any of you facebookers? I'm thinking about dumping my MySpace, I rarely look at it, unless my email tells me I got a message or comment (BTW, thanks Shari and HolyT for the messages of comfort when I was feeling crappy a few weeks ago). But look me up, I'd love to FB with ya.

OK really, really, now, let's go. Oh and RowdyBliss (MY SUZ!) I hope you aren't slipping away from us again. We need you! And you and I need each other. So get yourself here. xo Michelle

Obligatory shout out to Lumi and Audie to get back in here too.

Gosh, I hope I remembered everyone, no offense, I promise, no offense if I did.

Happy Saturday everyone.

I spent the day at the zoo having a wonderful family day. DH and I needed to bring ourselves to a happy place. The kids were amazingly good, they had a great time, DH and I are really in a great place. We aren't looking for a brand new truck. I refuse to make those kind of monthly payments. But we have found a few good prospects, we just have to wait for the insurance $$ to come (As soon as friday I hope.)

Who did we P. Off? I don't know. Life is a rollercoaster so we have been up for a good 2 years so its about time for some rotten luck, right? I just hope this low doesnt go on for too long.

OK gotta run, I hope this posts.
