Lindy - So good to hear from you and thank you so much for the congrates and kind words on seeing my daughter - I leave tomorrow!!! I hope your brother is doing well and you have gotten some much needed rest. I too love the sun and have been a worshipper my whole life. I do the beach and poolside less now than when I was younger. Still love it though, just not when I am working out! LOL......
Lucky - We all have days like that, just jump back on it today and no real damage will be done. Remember it's a lifestyle, not a jail sentence! LOLOLOL..
Takeadeepbreath - Good to hear from you. I am so proud that you are doing so well with workouts and food. I too have a problem with after hours eating and it is a battle daily. I think they say that's when we relax and adjust to the stress of the day and when emotional eating kicks in. What helps me is thinking about how hard I worked out that day and do I just want to throw that effort away.
Tiff - I can't wait to hear from you - Tax season is almost over and hopefully we will get you back FULLTIME! LOL
Maddiesmom - I pray your job is doing well, and your husband efforts to find employment have been successful.
Neesy- Hey, hope today was a good day for you! Your doing well, keep it up.
Burgund - I hope today is good for you also! Stay stronge!
I leave tomorrow on my flight to Chicago and will check in tomorrow night from the hotel.

MyGrits- have a safe trip and a great time with your daughter
Burgundy- Congrats on getting the scale to move further and working out so much.
Jules- I cheated myself yesterday...I had a couple of Guinness to celebrate the holiday ...BUT, this time-- I didn't just say screw it and eat pizza and such after, I did what you are doing...think about it and move on from this moment
DeepBreath- Great job on the whole body workout!! Thanks for asking about WS...Yes, my energy is FANTASTIC I've been to the club a couple of times already this week and I can tell a big difference when I'm working out.
Great news--- I just got home from work and see that I received my series of ChaLean Extreme videos...they came 2 days early, whoo whoo! So, I'll read through the info hopefully before I put my daughter down for bed..and maybe even get my first try at the video tonight.
Hope everyone had a great couple of days!

Takeadeepbreath- I wish I could say that is why I haven't been on in a while. I haven't weighed myself recently but I'm sure I probably am in the 210 range now. At least I feel like it..
I've been seriously slacking these past few days. Today.. I ate WAY too much. I feel fat and bloated. It does not feel good. I feel guilty and just not right. My birthday is in 10 days. I am making a promise to myself to stick with it at least until then. No screw ups. I want to get as close to my goal as possible even though I messed up these past few days. I am kicking myself in gear. I'm going to the gym at 6am when it opens. I can't wait to go. I have work tonight so hopefully I'll be able to sleep afterwards. I'm going to go every day for the next 10 days.. even if it's only for 30 minutes. Something is better than nothing. I'm starting over.. starting NOW.
Thanks for all of your support. I'll check in later.

A couple of hours after I worked out yesterday, a pain in my upper back showed itself. It's very strange. It's just right of my left shoulder blade and only that side of my back. I can't turn my head more than half to the left or right and even less to tilt my head forward....gggrrr!!! Why is it that every time when I decide to really exercise, something gets hurt? I know I'm not overdoing it. And it's always something stupid. So needless to say, I did not walk yesterday. I just felt like crap most of the day. I didn't want to be at work, I didn't want to do anything except go to bed. And once I did get to bed, I coughed for over an hour and kept drinking water to calm it (I have a sinus infection I'm taking antibiotics for).
It still hurts this morning and even if it were better, I wouldn't be able to walk today. I have to drop my car at the mechanics (leaking antifreeze, I think it's a hose not the radiator) and hope it's done after work. Then go to my mom's to get all kinds of paperwork for my aunt to have a meeting with medicade to see if mom qualifies for any help. But my understanding is that medicade is for when you have no assets, and if you do, you have to liquidate those-pay what you can with that-then medicade takes your SS check or whatever income you have-then they pick up the rest. Well, B...S...! Mom will be home soon and nothing is getting sold. So I think the meeting is pointless and the fact I have to get all this together TONIGHT-with a back injury-really aggravates me.
But I will good with my eating today. Taking 2 'lunches' so I can eat right before I leave. This way I won't be starving by the time I get home and go nuts.
Will try to check back in tonight.

Hi Everybody!
I had to say hello before I shut my computer off and got in the shower! I pray my computer works while in Illinois, as I hate not dropping in to see how everyone is doing...LOL....
Takeadeepbreath - I hope your shoulder feels better soon. Would it be a pinched nerve maybe? I know sometimes if I sleep weird and later during the day all of a sudden I can't hardly turn my head, plus my shoulder hurts. My husband always says it's because I slept weird. Unfortunately it seems to take a couple of days to work it's way back to normal. Also good luck with the paperwork trail. We did that with my father-in-law and it seemed like just a bunch of 'red tape'. Congratulations to on your workouts and staying focused. Keep going!!!
Backtobasics - What is ChaLean? Is is a certain type of workouts or something?
Neesy - Don't be too hard on yourself for the last few days, could be stress related, emotions, whatever. It is good that it has made you focused, and with me sometimes that is what it takes. Get on track and give yourself a great birthday gift of losing a certain amount of pounds by that day. You can do it!! Look how far you have come!!! If you jump on now, anything you may have gained should come right back off quickly.
Ok, I am still really focused, but now freaking out because I am leaving town. Why when I get focused does a event always pop up? I am down another pound, so that is 5 pounds in a little over a week - woo hoo!!! Now the goal is to keep it going while I am gone..........Lord help me!!!! I am not good with restaurant eating........... I think I have 27 days until Easter, which is my birthday, where I set a goal of 210. I have 9 pounds to go and HAVE to reach it!! That is a little less than 3lbs per week.....
I will check in tonight from the hotel. Hope ALL of you have a great day!!!!

Neesy - you are 7 pds. away - DONT GIVE UP!!! 30 minutes of cardio, tons of water and staying on your plan WILL get you to your goal and in the time frame that you want, you can do it!!!
Takeadeepbreath - sorry to hear about your injury. Just take it easy and get back on track when your body allows you to. When I am hurting the next day from working out or I sleep the wrong way - I take it easy and do yoga. Its amazing how well it works everything out. You should maybe try it. I know, I know...sometimes you just want to rest - so that works too. lol. My heart also goes out to you with all that you are dealing with with your mom, hopefully everything will settle soon.
Mygrits - I imagine you will be checking in soon, so - how is it seeing your daughter? How's the weather? I'm sure its a big difference from our 85 degree weather lately. I'm not sure if I mentioned this, but I have plans to stay at the beach next weekend with my cousin, I'm excited, lots of sun and relaxation. Now, if I can be in onederland by that time, that would be the icing on the cake!!!
Well, I have been hopping on the scale every morning (wait a minute - wasnt I discouraging this when I first started my weight loss journey?! LOL) Anyway, as of this morning, I am back at 200 but I will wait to update my ticker till this weekend. Tomorrow, the girls from work are all going out for sushi (MY ABSOLUTE FAV), so lets just make sure that doesnt screw me up too much. I'm glad to hear everyone is doing well.
OH - TIFF, I know your busy with work, my fingers are crossed that your still losing and you have big numbers when you return. WE MISS YOU!

Jules-I have never hear of Lucy, but you wouldnt believe how small the town I live in is. Dont get too down on yourself when you have a burger, we all stray from the path sometimes.
Mygrits-have you seen your daughter yet? Hopefully you get to spend a lot of time together. Good luck staying on plan while there, you can do it. Have a great trip. You can make it to your birthday goal. I have 6 lbs I want to get off so I can say I have lost 20 lbs.
Basics-I am not sure what Chalean is either, you will have to fill us in.
Neesy-We are in the same boat, I have been eating pretty badly these last couple of days too. I need to start working out more consistently too.
Kelly-I hope your back gets back to normal soon. Like Lindy said, try some yoga or just take it easy for a day or two. Stress may have something to do with it too.
Lindy-good job getting back to 200, you are so close to onderland you can probably taste it, huh? I want to be there too. How is your brother doing?
Tiff and Maddiesmom-hope to hear from you 2 soon. I know you are both really busy, just try to stay focused.
I got on the scale this morning, just like every other morning, and I am still at 222, so that is good. I thought with the way I have been eating the last few days that I might be up, but thankfully I wasnt. I just want to be at 216. I want to get 20 lbs off. I know I dont need to rush it though. Its finally getting warmer, so I am going to start walking, and running. I have been thinking about doing the Couch to 5k program. Google it, I have never been much of a runner, but this sounds like a good way to start. I would love to run a 5k and this might get me there. I went to a park and walked my dogs yesterday with my sister in law and her kids. 5 times around the track is 1 mile, well we went 2 laps and my SIL had to sit down and take a break . We went 1 more and they wanted to stop and look at the lake(ice). So we slowly go one more and sit AGAIN!! SIL says she was burning up. It was cold!!!! come on keep walking !!!!!!!!!!! So we slowly walk the 5th lap so she was happy we walked a mile, but when I walk, I like to walk fast to get my heart rate up and sometimes I do sprints of running so that walk was definitely different for me. Next time I go, I think I will go alone with the dogs, Bandit likes too so I can exercise and tire the dogs out for the night. Ok, long I know! Have a great night everyone.

Hi Everyone!
I'm in the hotel, checked in and freezing!! It's cold up here! I am used the hot Florida Spring weather and didn't expect to get off a plane and feel 39 degree's. Wow! Well today jumping airports and planes was stressful and I tried so hard to be good, but by 4pm, after 5 hours of airports, delayed flights, changed flights and stress, I ate pizza. I was even ticked while I ate it, because I knew it wasn't on the plan and I knew I had 3 more hours of airplane time. I don't do well with stress! LOL.........I hope tomorrow is better.
Thanks for the kind words Lindy. I am excited I get to finally see her tomorrow morning. So the day will definitely be an eventful one! Congratulations to you being at 200. I remember those days and can't wait to get back there. I am so glad to hear you are going to get some much needed R & R with the sun and sand. I am really happy for you - you deserve it!
I will check in tomorrow night. I hope everyone else has had a good day. Tiff I miss you too!!!!

Just a forewarning, this is going to be a loooong post. I have been gone for like 2 weeks. Life has still not calmed down, but I am sitting in bed relaxing at the end of a long day and I thought I should finally update you guys. Not only has work been absolutely insane. But, about a week ago, I was looking on Zillow and saw that this house we had been looking at a few months ago was still on the market AND the price had been reduced like 20k. So I went and got preapproved and last weekend put in an offer and went back and forth with counter offers a few times. Well, as of today, we got it! I am ALMOST a homeowner. We just have to do an inspection on Saturday and get the financing finalized and by next month I will be living in my own home! I have been wanting to buy a house for a couple of years now, but never seriously looked cause I never had enough for a downpayment. Now, with the 8,000 first time homebuyer credit, I realized that there will be no better time and this particular house is 40k cheaper than the cheapest house in the neighborhood. However, most of my exercise for the next year or two will be from working on my house. Becacuse this house is truly a fixer! That's just how I wanted it though. I truly believe in the philosophy that you should buy the worst house in the best neighborhood. We absolutely looove this neighborhood. It is deed restricted with a HOA, but only $50 a year for the HOA fee. In this area, HOA fees can exceed $4,000 a year because most of them are gated, golf course communities. So generally speaking, there are either gated, golf communities or really crappy neighborhoods. This neighborhood is one of the few in between neighborhoods that I really think will contribute to it's resale value. Plus, its 4 miles from the beach and like 2 miles from my job (although I am only 1 mile now). So we are only moving 1 mile down the road...haha...that will be easy.
So, about weight loss, now much to tell about there. I think I am at a plateau. I have really not been eating over my calories and have DEFINITELY been eating under my BMR but I am just fluctuating up and down lie 4 lbs. I got down to the 307 on my ticker on Sunday and Sunday only. I have been around 310 ever since. I'm not stressing too much about it though and just keep trying. However, I have not been to the gym in 2.5 weeks. But we have ridden our bikes lie 5-6 times in that time. We went on a 12 mile ride to the beach last Sunday and I got toasted! Oh and I saw dolphins when we stopped at the pier! That was terrific!
Neesy, giiiiirl, you better be kicking butt at the gym. You need to focus and not let this time be like all the others. This is not the point which you get to give up. I KNOW you can reach your ultimate goal and I don't want to see you sabatoging yourself!
Burgandy:Congrats on the walk and staying at 222!
LuckyLindy I am so glad your brother is home and doing better. Congrats at getting back to 200, I hope you can stay there til Sunday!
Mygrits Don't freeze!!! I will be thinking of you while I am at the beach this weekend I hope you have a blast with your daughter and I am so glad you get to see her!
BacktoBasics and LuckyJules I am glad you are sticking with us and I hope you are at least finding us entertaining as well as supportive.
Takeadeep I know how those pains are and I know how it is to feel like that is just your luck. I have been feeling like that lately. I left out a bunch of details about the homebuying, but lets just say it wasn't simple and I just knew it wouldn't be, cause that's my luck. Now, I am worried they will find some bad stuff in the inspection and we will have to start over again. Plus, work has been STRESSFUL, mostly my computer just isn't cooperating, and I feel like that is just my luck too. Technology just doesn't like to cooperate with me and it is one of the most stressful things to me. I almost walked out of work today and told them to call me when they can get computers that worked. But, I counted to ten and managed to control my anger, but dang, luck like that just SUCKS!!!
Well, after that novel, I'm going to bed! Life as a grown up is exhausting. Remember, I am only 23 so I am new at this stuff. But I just want to go to sleep for about a week right now. Sorry, it was a mostly about me post, but dang I needed to vent!

Takeadeepbreath- sorry to hear about your back, hope it gets better soon.
Burgundy- I did read about that couch to 5k a few weeks ago...and I'd love to get back into running and that seemed like a great program to work with. I just need to lose about 40 lbs before I feel a bit more stable on my running.
Lucky- Mmm, I love sushi myself..however, I usually for the rolls and not just the sashimi like I should
Tiff- Congrats on the new homestead! I'll keep my fingers crossed that all goes well with the inspection.
MyGrits- glad to hear you made it safely..and yes, we have that same 39 degree weather here as well.
As for my update---ChaLean Extreme is a series of workout videos that are in 90 day increments...every 30 days it switches up to confuse your bodies muscles, so that you don't hit a plateau. The basics of the program is building lean muscle to burn fat faster. Tonight I got my first tough workout in...it actually went pretty well--EXCEPT, I suck at doing push-ups, even the girlie one's...I by no means have enough upper body strength at the weight I am now! But, it's okay- she's super motivating and recognizes that in her videos for beginners at this stage. Anyway, I'll write about it from time to time on it I'm sure!
I know I don't have my ticker activated yet (I'm about a week away from 20 days)... .but, since I started off last week at 274 when I started my Wonderslim diet, I'm going to target to hit 260 by the end of March. Figured I need to write that out, so I hold myself accountable!
TGI(almost)F!

Mygrits-Isnt this weather lovely. I am ready for the hot weather. Enjoy your time with your daughter.
Tiff-Congrats on the house, I hope the inspection goes good. That must be exciting. I love riding my bike. You are lucky you can get out and do that already.
Basics-Chalean sounds interesting. Good luck with it. I know what you mean about push ups. I have no upper body strength either. I need to work on that.
I got up early this morning to take my car to the mechanic. I am going to get up soon and exercise. Its really cold here today, in the 20's. But it is supposed to be in the 50's starting tomorrow and lasting through next week. I have no plans today so I have plenty of time to get a workout in. I will check in later today. Have a great day everyone.

Grrrrr....my TOM showed up today and in full force. This is probably the worst it has been in years. Im fatigued, lazy, hungry, cramping, my back hurts...etc....etc....etc....GOD HELP ME. Lol. I exercised this morning but am not even trying for any evening exercise, in fact, if my husband asks me one more time for dinner, you may just see my on the 6 o'clock news - lol, j/k. I did OK with food, I ate sushi and had a almond snicker bar but I finished the day with 15 bean soup and I'm pretty much done. I WILL NOT weigh myself until this is over, so lets just say good-bye to my weigh in tomorrow, maybe even Sunday.
Tiff - I can SO relate with you on the hosue purchasing process. I went through it about 3 or 4 years ago - by myself (I purchased my home on my own) and it was the most stressful period in my life. I cried, I got angry and worst off - I gained a TON of weight through the process. It was awful. So I can empathize with you all the way. Keep up with your weight loss journey, we all knew we would plateau, just let it slide and get through it. Oh and my brother is doing great - thanks for asking.
Ill check in later if I'm not dead (lol).

Well, you want the good news or the bad news...OK, the good news. My shoulder still hurts, but feels good enough that I will walk and/or something Sat. and Sun. Now, the stress, I mean.. bad news, my car has a blown head gasket. HaHaHaHa...no, really. Here's the cherry-I have 2 payments left. So I am searching for a car. I'm doing WAY better about this mentally than I was yesterday when I got the call from the mechanic (where that morning I had accidentally ripped off half my thumb nail trying to remove my key from the key ring-ouch! Yeah...bad day). Reason being, my payments are $60, big whoop. If things go right, and I mean-the planets are all in alignment, the owl screeches at the wind and a virgin is sacrificed....I could get a NEW car for what it costs me to smoke each month. Great incentive to quit, eh?
Ugh! When does it end?!?! So needless to say....I've ate poorly for 2 days. And that is why I will exercise and get my butt back at it!
Sandy - Yah! Your computer works! I know what you mean about checking in, if I don't read 1-2 a day, I lose it. I totally sleep weird too. I look like a pretzel when I'm in bed...LOL! And if the only bad thing you ate was pizza, don't sweat it, you will be fine! Stay focused and you can get your 9. Say Congratulations to your daughter for all of us!
Lindy - 200?!?! Ooooh! I'm holding my breath for you. You are so close, yah! Maybe you could this TOM to think about your breakthrough to onederworld (is that what you call it?) and how much you will enjoy it-and to keep yourself from coming back up! It's great to hear you brother is doing great and that you made it through with the weight loss virtually unscathed.
Burgundy - Hope your experience at the mechanic is better than mine. I tried the couch to 5k a while back. It's a good way to ease into running. I stopped because something in my life got in the way, but I enjoyed it. Hopefully, I can get started with it again. There is a podcast that has music (club kinda stuff), but it keeps with the time and the guy tells you when to run, when to walk, when to run...etc. so you don't have to figure it out. And it takes you through each phase like that. It's called Podcasts for Running and it's by Robert Ullrey. It has all 9 weeks. The website isn't working right now, but you can download them all at iTunes. Hope you like it!
Tiff - Congrats on the house! That is wonderful. My fingers are crossed for you for the inspection. Considering the house and tax season, you are doing great with riding your bike. Don't worry, things will calm down and you will be back at it. And I hear ya' with the luck thing. After a while, you get used to it...hahaha!
Basics - Sweet, now you can jump in with both feet! Let us know how that video goes for you.
Neesy - Messing up is part of the game, otherwise, we'd all be on a runway...flaunting what we got! You'll be OK, I think you're about 1 week behind the rest of us with the 'funk'..lol!
Again, sorry so long! Keep your fingers crossed for a new car!!!!

Thanks you guys! Everytime I feel down.. you guys lift me up. Thanks for the motivation. It is definitely needed. I have been feeling really down.. and like you said Tiff.. self-sabotaging myself. I have one week. I may not meet my goal. As I weighed at 210 this morning. But.. I will definitely get close. I'm kicking pop from now on and drinking more water. I'm gonna hit the gym when it opens at 8am. No BUTs about it! I'm not going to change my ticker. Because I know I will be back below that by the end of this week!
Oh by the way, TIFF, congrats on the new house! That is so great. I'm sooooo jealous!

Burgundy- Okay, so I have to ask...I get by the description what you are talking about-- but what does TOM stand for?
Neesy- Love the motivation to get back at it-- you can do it!
So-- this morning IS my weigh in day-- and in one week, I lost 10 pounds!!! Now I only need to do that 11 more times hee hee.
I'm glad to be apart of this thread, it's nice to check in somewhere and chat with others about our journeys-- and to get and give support from others who understand.
Have a great day everyone
