Well, I think today is the day I stay on the wagon as I am no longer in emotional distress. Now I'm only dealing with the curse of the habit of eating low-water content foods. I COMMIT to breaking the cycle NOW! I dragged my butt out of bed for a 6 AM workout; I brought Daisy (my shih tzu)[Grazer - I just googled the correct spelling] for a walk and she had me trudging through snow up to my thighs at times. It is crazy funny how she bounds through snow that is deeper then she is tall! I have finished my first bottle of water and finally I have a food plan for the day. My WI this morning has me up 1.5 pounds. No surprise. I'll turn it around this week. 150's here I come. Coming with me Grazer? LET'S DO IT, LADIES!!!

Nixmom - Man, that sucks! Let's try this angle. A healthy lifestyle also includes practising being gentle with yourself at times like this. Let's see how you do with that. Take care!

Morning jeni and clykk...hope your day is starting off well. Mine is. Clykk...your dog is the same kind of dog i want if i ever get an indoor dog. I want an indoor dog...i'm just not ready for the committment needed to have one...as in taking them out in the rain to use the potty....nope...just not ready...lol.

I don't think i did all that bad over the weekend. I kinda of went on a carb fest yesterday at my football party...but overall..the weekend went pretty well. I really watched portion sizes of the chili i made (which i made with 97% lean hamburger meat)....and drank my water. I only had 2 beers last night and one small kids cup of soda. We grilled out bbq chicken breast and had this yummy pizza dip with bread that was made out of pizza sauce, cream cheese, 2 cups of shredded cheese, pepperoni, and black olives. I only ate about 3 spoon fulls of the dips with about 2 bread sticks and 4 slices of an italian bread loaf. The scale said i was up a little this morning but thats okay. I had my clothes on, and i had already showered. But i still feel good about this weekend. I have been op all week and was allowing myself to indulge alittle last night with no guilt.

Todays WEED:
W- 64 ounces
E- 1200 calories
E- hopefully 30 minutes on the elliptical
D- did it once, did it twice, three times the charm.

By the way...i did not get my elliptical over the weekend because of the rain...but the bf is going to pick it up tonight...fingers crossed!!!!

Nix- OUCH!! Take it easy and get to feeling better. Hey just think. You probably wouldn't have felt a thing with a little more padding there. Must be getting skinny.

Jeni- Cheescake. MMM!! I have a few recipes for some low-cal versions. I might try one here soon.

Clykk- Good job getting up early for that workout. Hey, I was up at 4:30 today. To let annoying dog out to pee. He's getting old and apparantly has lost bladder control.

Lumi- Good job keeping the food fest to a minimum. My life is so boring I just don't have events like that pop up. Sort of a good thing.

I have been POP for 21 days now. Except for that one slice of pizza. The sale is starting to reward me for my efforts. Of course the 45 min. of exercise a day probably helps too. 196.2 today. Looking for the 195's tomorrow.

Hi, I'm still up 1.75#. Feeling really discouraged, but I guess it's just TOM weight, I hope. I wonder how long it will take to come off. I guess a couple days after my cycle is over. Sigh.

Thinpossible...i feel your pain on the TOM weight. I am really hoping and praying that when mine goes away in a couple of days, that maybe it takes one or two pounds with it. I don't think at this rate i am going to hit my valentaines goal. My fit day says i need to lose 1.17 pounds per week and at the rate i seem to be going...i'm losing maybe half a pound a week. YIKES!!! But if we keep trudging along...eventually, we'll hit goal!!

Hi everyone! Sorry I have been so absent this week... and TBH being so absent has got me a bit depressed. I have really slacked on working out this week and even ate out a few times. Other than the eating out though I have been OP and avoided snacking. I lost 2.4lbs this week!!

Hello Weeders!!! I've missed you all. Just spent the last half hr catching up in the old thread. I had a weekend of small weaknesses and KNEW I needed to get back in with my girls before it all slipped away.

I had some fun though!!! Friday night the girls from work and I went down to the casino (one of the girls, who goes there MORE than ME!, got a coupon in the mail for a FREE ROOM! So a bunch of us went down and spent the night!) What a drinkfest! Didn't worry about calories or anything, just drank our hearts out. Can you believe that I, the seasoned gambler, was the ONLY one out of our party who went home broke!? The other girls won or only lost a little. I always say, I'm willing to give it all away, just let me play for a long time. And I did, the $$$ lasted til at least 3 am. LOL

So when we came home Saturday, I napped most of the day. And when I woke up, drank nothing but water and ate POP, even took my water bottle and a BIG apple to bowling...and guess what? I bowled GREAT! 202-169-207! Probably my best all season!

Then Sunday came, started out POP and ended up at taco bell that night. Oh well. Like I said it was a weekend of small weaknesses, no all out binge like the ol' days. So back to business Monday!

Whatta work schedule this week....12 hrs tonight and tomorrow, 11p-7a Wed, off thurs, 12 hr night Friday. tired just thinking about it.

Is anyone watching Diet Tribe? Am I the only one who just can't find myself LIKING these girls? I find it kind of boring, wondering if I'll stick with this show. I'm also watching the Biggest Loser, but so far have only watched the first ep (or maybe the second, too) I have one to go on my DVR then tomorrow's ep. This season looks really really good so far.

Boooo, the Eagles lost their game yesterday, but I did think of you Lumi, the STEELERS ARE IN THE SUPERBOWL!!!! Woohoo!

Okay...just had to pop back in real quick before i get off work while i am munching on my big ol' bag of low fat pop corn. Nmichelle...I am sooo excited that the Steelers are in the super bowl. This is the first year I am having a Superbowl party...and ACTUALLY watching the game!!!! lol. I was hoping we'd be playing the Eagles too but I we'll still whoop some Cardinal butt!!!! And I am so glad you had a good time at the casino and stayed on plan for bowling on saturday. Good job.

Finally eased the pain enough, and slowed down my seemingly crazy life enough to get to catch up on the thread and get some personals in! I love vicodin! Okay, so here we go!

General stuff~ so glad that so many of us made it through what seemed like an eternal TOM this round.

Nchellie- I thought about you while in the ER yesterday. Although I was definitely crying from pain, my BF had me laughing hysterically through my tears. The tech who took my xrays was less than sympathetic and Way Less than patient. She commanded me to lay on my back legs straight and hold still. I was pretty much doing lamaz breathing to get through the pain trying not to fricken scream. I must have huffed in her general direction one too many times because asked me to turn my head (away from her). I apologized that my breath probably smelled like a sausage mcmuffin, trying to get a grin out of her. She stared at me with no response. All I could think was, “they need a Nurse Michelle here. They REALLY need a Nurse Michelle here.” The nurse that helped me on my way out had me sign this form and told me “the hospital has everyone fill this out. Its basically to cover our ass”. I said… oh, I get it, and *** joke. (of course I stayed straight faced) and she began to apologize like mad over and over. She finally realized I was kidding, and laughed along. I don’t know how you do it. Not sure I could put up with patients like me or staff like them.
Jen – Has the sleep walking little one let you sleep well lately? BF and I are dealing with our 2nd round of night terrors. Its horrible. DSS (now 7) had them until he was 6 and they quit. Now DSS(4) is starting in with them. Its no fun. Screaming in terror, they look awake but cry and don’t respond to our voices. Fortunately, the kids don’t ever even remember it in the morning. Kinda crazy. But at least if they are crying, we can locate them in a hurry. Those sneaky quiet sleep walkers can be a whole other ordeal I hear. Hope you sleep well tonight… cuz its back to work tomorrow, right?.... OH AND HAPPY WAY BELATED BIRTHDAY!
Mtiggie~ Nice stop at one piece of Digiorno last week! And creepy that while I am typing this a Digiorno pizza commercial came on the TV. I see the restraint and commitment to staying OP with water and 1400 cals is working out for you! Keep it up Girlie!!!! Nice loss. Staying outta the 200’s! It’s a good fight girl. Not sure where my recovery time will leave me, but hold my place in line… I will get there! This is our year you know! Oh, and I did try to joke with the xray tech that I woulda thought I had enough backside to avoid injuries like this. She smiled outta 1 side of her mouth. Whatever!

Grazie ~ how are you doing in carboholic land. I am carb addict myself and find that I spend A LOT of my time during food planning making sure that I have multiple choices as I build my meals. What I really want to do is wallow in a gianormous pot of pasta! What I get to do is pick about ½ a cup ofcarbs 3X a day. BOO HOO!
Thin~ Did you adjust to your quiet days with the babies at school? Are you doing better with your water and sticking to your no bites, licks or tastes plan? BTW – you mentioned fear of ab work out during crampy time. It is actually a fabulous way to make them go away.
Lumi~ How are your “off” work Wednesdays working out? We are on 9-80s (every other Friday off) but looking at Furlows for the Friday’s we work. 3 day weekends would be good for my nerves, but bad for the waistline too!
Jlea~ Hows work, and that pup of yours. I love the piggy bank and am sending good vibes that its belly is full very soon!
Clykk~ When I read that you “fell in a pothole” I was thinking literally at first. Some of us actually do things like that literally. J Now fear- coming through lack of performing when you are probably running circles around those around you but not enough to make you feel like you have bettered your best, so now you’re this unsuccessful person in your own mind who is capable of more but pissed that you can’t meet your perfectionist ideals that you know are way over the top. So be good to yourself by treating yourself with ___________________(fill in here). I get it. I battle it too. I want you to know we rock no matter what. When I am ready to reach for the food, I clear my desk, all things to one side, and do 1 thing at a time. Slow down, drink some water. Just start over. It’s okay! And I appreciate that reminder to be gentle to myself as well… thank you!
OWITH – are you still 30DS-ing? How many days now. I have fallen off the exercise wagon, and onto the injury wagon but hoping to be back to good in a couple days. Wondering if the 30DS was paying off. Good job on the loss!
HolyT – CONGRATS on the tests chickie! What a weight off your world!!!! Fantastic! Countdown and craftdown baby! I am sooo hooked on splitcoaststampers. I am looking forward to the VSN in February. I have already placed my mark on having that weekend to my self and my cards! Woo Hoo!

Okay girls… need to send myself off to Vicodin land one more night. But today was 100% better on the pain front. ½ the meds, 2x the walking and stuff. Just no sitting straight up and down yet. Thanks for all the well wishes, and good luck at week 4!!!!

Morning ladies. Hope everyone is well on this beautiful...somewhat snow flurry of a morning here in the great state of Sc/Ga. Just enough snow flurry to be pretty but not enough to canceal school or work. It's too warm for it to do anything but turn to water.

Nixmom...glad you are feeling a little less pain that you can back off the pain meds some. I know you'll be up and back to normal in no time.

Mmavis...good luck starting back on the c25k again. Girl...you going to be hitting 139 before you know it!!!!

Shari...way to go on just having a little of that cake...and yay for tax returns. I can't wait to get my w2's so i can go get my taxes done.

Okay....so...i got my elliptical last night!!! Yay!! I was so excited. My kids were too. We all kept taking turns getting on it. I really think this may be a good thing for my family. It was very easy to use...doesn't require being plugged in to the wall...has a monitor that tells me how long i've been on...how far i have gone...how many calories i've burned and a couple more little things i haven't really figured out yet. But i did get on it for about 6 minutes last night. My plan is to get on it first thing in the morning for at least 10 minutes (to get my metabolisizm (sp??) going first thing in the morning and then do about 30 minutes in the evening when i come home. And on weekends, i just want to keep jumping on it every so often and really get a good work out in all day long. But since i didn't go to bed until after mid-night last night, i did not get up in time this morning to get on it. But i will tonight!!! And i showed my teenager how to use it, so maybe she can use it before i come home, and hopefully my 9 year old can get on it and get a little excersize in. I have not encouraged her to get on it to lose weight or anything like that...i'm not one of those moms. But if she wants to get on it because she wants to...that is not such a bad thing. But i'll be there to monitor her. I just want to be there to encourage her to make her body healthy and strong.
