Cool Congrats!!

ENY- Wonderful news!

Ladies- I have really enjoyed reading about everyone's goals for the year. I really like this idea of long term planning. In the past I never made long term goals- interestingly enough I don't stay on a play long term either... 6 months is the longest and that was on WW. So I am counting points again this morning and feeling good about it. I planning on tracking points and getting healthy long term this time!

I look forward to the journey with all of you-

What are you all up to today?

Goals for 2009.
In 2009 I will:
  1. Get down to a healthy weight for my height (~150 lbs), through healthy lower calorie eating, home cooking and regular exercise.
  2. Maintain my exercise schedule for this year, including walking, running, weight lifting, biking and swimming.
  3. Close on my new house and unpack and have everything away in a place. (I will not be living out of boxes for years to come.)
  4. Have cut my outstanding student loan debt by 50%, and made regular healthy contributions to my 403(b) fund.
  5. Entertain my friends and loved ones at my home at least once a quarter, once a month would be even better.

OMG ENY!!! Your wishes, prayers and dreams have been answered!! WooHoo! I am soooo happy for you and your dh! How great that it happened fairly easily (quickly) after your marriage and a great way to end 2008, this year when there has been so much negative news bombarding us from all sides! CONGRATS!!

Challenges for 2009:

1) Be at 150--initial goal--at least by the holidays 2009, hopefully way before!

2) Find more work or make more income opportunities--this is already happening as I have just been able to add at least one more day of work to my week at a THIRD office, now just need one-two more days of employment!

3) Continue exercising at least 5/7 days a week.

4) Continue running, working down my time and up my distance, hoping to be running 10K's by summer!

5) Making a stricter budget and building back up my SAVINGS (sadly almost non-existent) and retirement accounts!

6) Continuing to purge useless junk and streamlining, organizing my household.

7) More family time with far-off relatives.

8) More quality time with friends, both old and new.

9) Gratitude resolution for 2008 continuing through 2009--think of at least one new thing to be grateful for every single day.

10) Lastly, and finally, ACTUALLY progress at really learning SPANISH--enough to really converse and understand with what anyone would say is FLUENCY! (starting a class in January--gonna stick with it this time!!)

Eny - Congrats...All the baby dust did pay off!!!

I haven't really been on here much lately. I still haven't started to exercise or eat healthy yet. For someone reason I still can't get in the grove of things. I really need to kick my butt in gear here soon. It's amazing how fast you can gain weight over a 2 week period. I'm hoping once I start again it will all just melt away :-)

Have a great day everyone!

Default bon voyage 40 pounds, welcome back healthy dani!

i was very happy to find the sign up thread for this!!! this is our year!!

2009 goals/thoughts:
> to once again have the scale say 145 and fit back into my "skinny jeans" from high school
> at this time last year i could barely run for 3 minutes straight, and now i can run 20 and still stand. i WILL run the boston marathon in 2010 (i know it's a year and a half away, but i have a lot of training to do for it!)
> if i followed plan when i first started, i would be at goal by now - STICK WITH IT THIS TIME DANIELLE!
> put away that $25 a week and indulge in an exotic (including BIKINI!) vacation for christmas 2009
> i will look good at the b/f's company parties this year!

i look forward to keeping up with everyone's progress and cheering for each other
