New Couch to 5K week 2
Good morning soon to be runners! Here is the new thread for week two of our new couch to 5K program :carrot: I did day one of week two this morning and it felt pretty good. I might have been off track a bit because I bumped a button on my MP3 player part way through and set the podcast back to the beginning. I then had to keep track in my head (which can be challenging at 6am!)
Yay team!! |
Am I all alone now? :( I plan to do week two day two tomorrow morning.
|
I to will be doing Week 2 Day 1 this afternoon barring there are no suprises coming my way:o
Ya it is pretty quite online this morning so far but the time change could be playing a role in that:devil: Hope everyone has a wonderful Tuesday!!! |
You are not alone... I am doing day one of week 3 tonight after my dance class. I hope it goes well.
|
I did week 2 day 2 this morning and found it the hardest morning yet... I think it is mostly because I am under the weather and not 100%. I stuck to it and finished it though but WOW was I sucking wind at the end...
|
Great job econ! That is what you have to do! :) Great job!
|
Well I didn't get to do Week 2 Day 1 yesterday but today I will be good to go, tree branch fell on the house and with yesterday being last nice day before snow hits we had to get it fixed then I was to tired afterwards.
But today I will be back on the treadmil living it up :) |
Hi Everyone.
I finished Week 2 Day 2 this morning. Will be doing Day 3 on Friday. I'm looking for something different to add on my Tuesday's and Thursday's. I was doing 30DS, but have started having some shoulder pain, so I think it's time to try something new. I've finished the 30 days anyway, so a change might do me good. I'll check back in on Friday after I complete day 3. Great job econ for sticking with it even when your under the weather. I hope your feeling better soon. |
Well just finished Week 2 Day 1 finally. It went good even did an extra 20 minutes afterwards. It is going good for me I think I could probably move on to week 3 as I am use to walking and jogging alittle already. I will see how I feel tomorrow... :)
How has everyone else done today? |
If you feel like you can move on to week 3, then I suggest you try. I skipped week 1 and it didnt bother me at all. I did day 1 of week 3 today. It was tough, but I feel like I will rock it next time I try. Day2 Week 3 should be good. I noticed at the end that I actually did the whole thing at a slight incline.

Hey guys! Each week that I had to go to the next week, I thought about redoing the previous week...but someone on here talked me into at least giving the next week a try....and I was always able to complete that next week and move foward. Just remember when you get to the point where you feel like you can't keep going, that is the part that counts...it is not going to kill you and once your done with that day, you're done!
|
Well Ladies I did finish Week 2 Day 2 and will finish up up week 2 tomorrow. I am in a bowling tournament on Saturday so probably won't get much more exercise than that on Saturday, and Sunday's are usually my day off but maybe this week I will do alittle exercise, we will see???
This has been great exercise for me and the most important part is being here with all of your support, thanks |
I just finished Week two of the Couch to 5K program :carrot: Yay me :D
|
Great Job Karen, I am hoping to finish my week 2 today as well but it will be this afternoon for me. Do you fill that it is getting easier for you?
|
Hi All,
Finished week 2 yesterday, hurray! I think it is getting a bit easier, but I'll have to wait and see what week three brings. Have a great weekend everyone! :) |
I just finished day 2 of week 2 today. I felt it was much more difficult to run outside. I have been doing all of the runs at the campus gym, but I am home for the long weekend (we get veterans day off) so I dont have access to a treadmill. I used goggle maps to see how far I went. I felt like I was running and walking slower, but my time and distance say otherwise. I am still having trouble with the last 3 min of running. I hope that I can get it all by day 3. I am a little afraid of starting week 4 next week, but I have to stay on track if I want to do the 5ks(week 9) the week of christmas. ... Just keep swimming... (~finding nemo)

I did find week two a bit easier but I was a bit under the weather and found the second day really tough! I'll start the week three thread on Monday.
|
Well I did finish Week 2 Day 3 on Friday so today I am ready to start Week 3 assuming I get home from at a decent time today:)
|
I just finished week3 day3 (i skipped wk1). It was a lot easier today and I finished two and a half minutes faster! It is so exciting when you get those little victories. It makes you feel empowered and wanting to keep it at this higher level. I am going to buckle down on my diet and water this week and keep up with the exercise. My mini goal is to stay on plan with these through friday. No slip ups.
I dont know if you all are listening to music while you do these runs, but I find it helpful to make a play list that corresponds to that weeks running so that when the song changes I switch from running to walking or visa versa. It has worked well for me. |
Gatorgirl I do listen to a program that was set up and tells you when to change from walking/running http://www.ullreys.com/robert/Podcasts/page6/page6.html
There are some other websites that someone listed in Couch to 5K week 1 but I couldn't pull them up on my desktop computer. I did finish week 3 day 1 today and getting quicker as well but today I was really tired, very tired. :( So how is everyone doing? |
I'm starting up the week three thread now. I was sick yesterday and forgot to do it then...
