Hey Blue - I'm still good. The scale was down this morning so I'm not discouraged.. :)
Mama - They are already in the garage! haha! I HAVE to bring them into work...hopefully tomorrow I remember, so I can't sneak any bags! Where are you at with your weight? I see that you chick says you've lost 30 pounds but how much more do you have to go? Start that C25K. T O D A Y!!!! |

I need to get back to my exercise and get stricter on the evening eating to get losing again. I have a loooonnnnggg way to go still, no time to be sitting still. On the chips, I think you should put them in your car as soon as you get home today, that way there is not forgetting tomorrow. As soon as you have thoughts of eating them, just go put them in the car right away. Maybe walking outside to get them will stop you from doing it  Do you count calories or what? You could maybe allow one bag or something, then put them in the car so you don't feel deprived at least? |
I count WW points. I was very successful at WW once before so counting points is easier for me... easier to count to 20 rather then 1400 or whatever. :) Yeah - They are going in the van as soon as I get home today!
What did you do for exercise that you liked before? |

Exercise...I started out doing walk away the pounds videos because they were the only ones I could find that I could stand to do every day, then that got boring and I realized I needed to do a bunch of different things or I get bored and quit. So, now my favorite DVDs are Jillian Michaels boxed set, she totally kicks my butt and I see great improvements in my body as a whole when I get that in at least twice a week. I also walk on the track some mornings, or walk laps around my house, usually doing walk/jog intervals since no one can see me.
I also like pilates, yoga, the Workout DVD from that TV show, and I play around with the workouts free on demand on the TV. I also walk and jog and create my own little workouts with moves from every DVD I have ever done, and I do this while watching TV in the evenings instead of sitting on the couch. anyway, I do a lot of stuff because if it's the same everyday I won't stick with it. |
JamieJo! :dancer: Congrats on your 2 pound loss! That's awesome!
|
I had my weigh-in today and am at 184 so I met my goal of losing 1 pound plus an extra. I feel like I cheated tho because of the way I weighed myself. Read this thread to see what I mean: Weigh Twice This is a strange phenomenon but I'm going with the lower weight.
Anyhow, my new week starts over today and I am so tempted to set no goals for myself and just kick back (old habits after weigh-in day) but I am going to choose not to do that. If I can make it thru this weekend I'll know I'm on my way. It feels wonderful to have completed so many goals this week and I am glad that I can look back at them on the tracking thread with a sense of accomplishment, no matter how small they may be. They're done. As for the things I didn't get done ... today is another day! |
Morning Blue! Thanks! Congrats to you too! Don't quit! We are doing so well! As for our goal thread...there are a lot of posts on there where people seemed to have quit. :( SO let's not quit with them!!!! :)
|
Yes, I was wondering where some of the others have gone?!?!
No worries, I'm hanging in there! Just that old temptation creeping in is all. But I'm ignoring it! ;) It feels good to know I have spent the last week doing something and that being vigilant has paid off! I am so glad you are finding this helpful too! |
What is your temptation?
|
To be lazy. :p lol
|
oh haha! Yeah - That's one of my big ones too! My DH is difficult too. He's always eating bad and on the weekends I want to eat bad with him!
|
ie. Don't do my chores. Don't try to accomplish my goals today. I think the food issue is finally under control for me. Hmmm. Maybe that was the underlying problem as to why I would eat ... feelings of defeat all the time because I've never felt like I've accomplished much. Hmmm indeed.
|
Well... been the same 192 for a week and a half. AND I didn't set my goals this week!!! Monday... back on track with those goals.
Such a slacker :) |
Come on Raw!!!! Get back on that wagon!!!!
I am still struggling with food. I don't know what most of the crazy stuff people on here talk about when it comes to food. I live on chicken and broc and am getting pretty bored.... |
Hey everyone! I'm still around, tracking and putting along. I just don't post very much in general. I'm a total lurker.
Anyhoo, I met two out of my three goals for last week. I'm pretty happy with that. I am still working on getting organized. I didn't set daily goals for a couple of days just because I forgot about it. I'm going to do better this week! Great job on losing Blue! I tried out your theory this morning. I weighed myself right when I got up and then again later and had lost 0.8 lbs. I went with the lower weight too! I figure somehow I lost some water! :D Hey Jamie Jo. I know what you mean about starting to become bored. What I've found helps is going to the grocery store every weekend and just picking up different fruits and veggies to put a little variety with the main courses that are usually variations on the same theme. It's been working so far! Let's keep to it. This is really helpful! |

 hey everyone! I am still here, just been a busy couple days and couldn't get on here. Tomorrow things should go back to normal so I should be back again. BUT, I am starting my goal thread over, if no one minds. I have a little challenge I want to do for myself and my goals will change, soon as I get it written down exactly how to do it. We are going to see my family for thanksgiving in Ohio and I want to be as close to under 200 as possible, though I know I have a ways to go.
anyway, I will repost my weigh in thread starting my first 8 days tomorrow :D I am excited, and extremely motivated now. I want to go back feeling good so I am less likely to eat my heart out like everyone else will be doing :( |
Glad you're still with us Mama! :)
|
Okay, I have my new goals set up for my 8 days and I already met the first one today by getting up early to take a half hour walk :carrot: I am determined to get back on track and it starts TODAY, so sick of this weight. I want to look in the mirror and actually like what I see. That's my big overall goal.
|
Great job Mama!!!! I'm just so excited that I completed week 5 day 3 on Friday. AHHHH... I just realized that today I should be doing week 6 day 1 but that I have plans tonight... I might have to go home early and get that run in before "the plans!"
|
Hi everyone!
This weekend was tough. Busy running around so I didn't get much accomplished. Saturday eating was not the greatest. Did OK Sunday and I did get some exercise on the treadmill. It wasn't a total loss! Hope everyone has a great day and accomplishes many goals! :sunny: |
JameJo, it shows real dedication to go home and make sure you get that run before the big plans, I applaud you :cp:
|
I haven't done it YET Mama! Don't give me credit until I report back tomorrow. :) Cuze running means taking another shower...getting ready all over....geez - I sound like one of those people that are full of excuses! :) teehee!
|
Okay, I will hold my praise to be awarded tomorrow :D
So far so good for me here. I am about to go eat lunch, but feeling very strong and determined, which hasn't happened in awhile so I feel like I may finally be back on the losing track...finnnalllly~ |
Starting a new week. Wasn't too sucessful last week. Especially the weekend. A few things happened and went downhill, but I'm ready for a new week.
|
Me too, BarbaraJean, started fresh today and did pretty well :) we can do it, hang in there
|
MAMA - I DID IT! week 6 day 1 complete! Went home and did it right away, even lifted and it paid off on the scale this morning so I'm all kinds of excited today! Just stick with it ladies - back on the wagon!
|
:woohoo: great job, JamieJo :woohoo: Let's make it pay off even more today, right?
|
Yep!!! Today is your off day, right?
|
So far so good this week :carrot: Sunday had a few slips but Monday went well. I started the Couch to 5K program yesterday and had an extreme eating day and it all paid off with a 5.4 pound loss yesterday! I highly doubt I can repeat that (and likely should NOT) I had a slim fast for each breaky, lunch and supper and a couple apples for snacks. Likely way too few calories for the day but it did kick-start things for me and now my motivation is PUMPED!! I amheading out to get some shopping done this afternoon and plan to scan and make copies of my "skinny" picture (back from highschool when I weighed around 175 and wore a size 11 and felt greaat). I'll post a picture here (partly for motivation but partly for the fun of laughing at the early 80s hair, glasses and outfit!) I also plan on posting the picture on the fridge and cupboard doors so I see and it remember my goal whenever I am tempted to fall off the wagon and eat  Let's keep up the good work gang!
|
W T G Econ Nerd! I LOVE the C25K. If you stick with it, it really will make you a runner!
|
I used to be a runner and have fallen off that wagon. I know how good it made me feel (and how much I was able to eat and still lose). Hubby and I have actually run a half marathon once (in 2005) :carrot: I'm not sure if I am keen on doing that again (13 or so miles is a heck of a long way!!) I do however want to get back to a regular running routine. I think building up to running 5K three times a week will do me good and is my fitness goal :D When we trained for the half marathon we used a similar training program (it might even be from the same webpage). They have a really good system set up that is really do-able.

Have a great day everyone! :sunny: |
I had a lunch meeting and didn't do too bad with the choices they had - chicken, veggies and penne pasta in an alfredo type sauce and salad. I had a chicken breast and picked veggies out of the pasta (and had a little bit of the pasta), lotsa salad and a bun (and skipped the dessert - lemon slice - which I have had before and it's not worth it ;) ) I done good :D
|
Good job Econ! I could have done better... SHAME ON ME! Arby's opened yesterday in the town that I live in... :(
|
You all are doing great!!
Bule - you get a new avatar? Those cats were so cool looking! New one is pretty too. :) Officially week 2 of 192 :( Maybe I need to change things up? |

I had a good day yesterday and am pleased with myself :D This morning I am doing my couch to 5K run and am planning to have a slim fast breakfast and supper. Lunch will be the salad bar (I'll stick to the veggies and such) in the cafeteria at work.
Have a great day!! |
The second day of my couch to 5K felt good this morning :carrot: Yay me!! OK time to get some work done and quit procrastinating :D
