The great thing about these challenges is that their effectiveness and enjoyability don't seem to be affected in the least by whether you win or not! They just keep you going and keep you focused on five pounds instead of a whole bunch more.

Yea! I get to play too! This is just what I needed. I am in a biggest loser contest at the ymca (where I work as well) and have this month to go. I need to lose 5 pounds to lose 10% of my weight from the beginning of May. That was my goal for this. Not to win but to lose 10%. And it will be over 2 days before my 40th birthday. No time like the present to start this challange,huh?!

Okay, okay, I think I've got it. You girls are moving so fast through those five pounds that I have been left in the dust back at #27 before I realized I was talking to dead air! So, I am caught up! I did lose four pounds since then and now, though! So, onward and downward!

I had modified my total GW to 120, although I know it really needs to be lower than that (no - I'm not delusional - I'm 5'1" and have a VERY small frame...) It really should be like 110. Well, I'll cross that bridge when I get there!
