  • DON'T BE A TURKEY THANKSGIVING CHALLENGE!
    HELLO EVERYONE! Right now there are 5 weeks until Thanksgiving and we can get a lot of weight lost by then! According to my Fitness Pal - If I stay contant for the next 5 weeks like I've been for the last 3 days I would be at #176 in 5 weeks! THAT'S A #10 LOSS!!! Talk about motivation!

    So here's the bit. Signups run from today (10/22) through Next Thursday (10/30) I will record everyone's weekly weigh ins. Anyone that signs up after that time is welcome to participate, but I won't track.

    THERE ARE NO FREEBIE WEEKS FOR THIS CHALLENGE


    Please post your STARTING WEIGHT (either today's weight, or the weight you were at last weigh in) and your GOAL WEIGHT for this challenge. Please remember it's only a month long - so be resaonable! Yes we want to push ourselves, but not discourage ourselves with unattainable goals.

    The challenge will run from 10/31 - 11/27
    The First Weigh in is due by 11/6 at 11:59 pm., and every Thursday through Thanksgiving.
    Here are the Weighin weeks:
    Week 1: due by 11/6 (10/31 - 11/6)
    Week 2: due by 11/13 (11/7 - 11/13)
    Week 3: due by 11/20 (11/14-11/20)
    Week 4: due by 11/27 (11/21-11/27)

    ALL WEIGHINS FOR THE WEEK ARE DUE BY 11:59 P.M. ON THURSDAY. RESULTS WILL BE POSTED ON FRIDAY!!!

    I'm looking for a #6.4 loss - and to BE IN THE #170s! AND It'll put me past my next mini goal of 25% BW lost since the beginning (which is actually at #180.8)!

    My starting weight: 185 (today's weight)
    My goal weight: 177 (I was supposed to be there at the end of October)

    That's 8 pounds, about 1.5 pounds per week.

    My starting weight is 191.8. Just weighed myself, backslid a bit from my visit back home these past few days.

    Goal is 185--solidly in the 180's and no turning back after that (hopefully!)
  • I'd love to play as well. Thanksgiving is my favorite holiday because it means seeing family, decorating for Christmas, having a long and lazy weekend and Black Friday sales! If I may be humble, I rock at Christmas decorations.

    GW: Anywhere in the 160's is just fine by me, which is a pound per week. I'll probably cry when I see that on the scale.

  • Great! I needed to set a mini-goal and with this challenge it should make it easier for me to reach.
    Today's Weight: 178.5
    Goal Weight: 170

    But I'd really love to see the 160's!

    My starting weight is 185.
    I would like to lose 6 pds. Its not asking for much. Which would bring me into the 170's.

    That is a 6.6 pound loss, Doable. Eny~I gained 1.6 pounds since Mondays weigh in. This is driving me crazy!! I will update my siggy. Do we get sticker awards for biggest loser each week, or for weigh ins? Catch ya all later. Pat

    Thats 3 pounds per week but I am going to push hard to make it. My BF and I start our C25K program tonight! He runs 6 miles a day so I will have a lot of catching up to do but I am there

    I'll give you my start weight after my weigh in on Sunday. I'd like to lose 6 additional pounds by Thanksgiving, which is 1.5 per week. I blew my Halloween goal away but the pounds are coming off more slowly now!

    Melissa (Mckennziesmomma) is my co-leader on this challenge - and we've come up with some GREAT challenges to do during these next 5 weeks!

    I'm really looking forward to this. And the fact that it's shorter gives us a smaller, but more focused time to hit our goals!
